A Matter Of Trust-Ch 36
While Derek and the others were gone on their case Chad, Mick and the others had come back to town and were keeping Penelope company so that she wouldn't be alone with her almost 7 months pregnant. Derek was aggravated but not really mad when he would see Mick and the others in her lair when they would video chat during updates, he would always look at her with such love in his eyes that it would make Mick smile.
The team had been gone almost 3 weeks when Chad and the others were deployed to join them, Penelope had promised Derek and Mick that she would stay with Fran and the girls while they were gone so that they wouldn't have to worry about her being all alone in her apartment across town.
Fran and the girls were excited to get to spend time with Penelope, Fran loved spoiling her and of course the girls wanted to spend time with the woman they hoped would one day be their sister-in-law and the mother of their niece or nephew. By the time the entire team returned home Penelope was not 7 months along and it was so obvious how much she had changed while everybody was gone but Derek loved the changes to her body, it made her look sexier.
Penelope rolled her eyes when Derek leaned in and whispered, "you look so sexy sweetness", she laughed and said, "I look like a bus hotstuff, how can that be sexy?", he sighed and shook his head and said, "their is nothing sexier to me than seeing you pregnant with our baby, you are so happy that you're glowing sweetness and that makes you the sexiest woman in the world to me".
She cupped his face in her hands and leaned in and claimed his lips with hers in a passionate kiss, Reid grinned and said, "wellllll we're gonna go now" as he pushed the rest of the family out of the room and closed the door behind him, leaving Derek and Penelope alone to get caught up for the month they had missed not being together.
Tim grinned and said, "I'm glad that things are working out for them this time", Ron said, "me too, I hated seeing Penelope heartbroken like she was, I was ready to kill Derek Morgan myself", JJ and Emily nodded their heads in agreement and Emily said, "the line forms behind us boys", seconds later the air was filled with the sounds of the team laughing.
Dave looked at everybody and said, "Fran texted me on the way back from the airstrip, she wants everybody to come over for a family dinner tonight, that is if they can make it?", everybody looked around at each other and then Hotch said, "we'll be there". Reid said, "I can't promise that Derek and Penelope will be there but we will, we'll definitely be there because it feels like forever since we've had a family dinner".
Hotch said, "Jack really misses everybody, especially Henry and Penelope", Mick said, "so I'll finally get to meet your son" as he looked at Emily and Hotch who smiled and nodded their heads yes. JJ said, "and you'll get to meet our little Henry", Dave said, "yes so far Fran and I have 2 grandchildren and soon we'll be blessed with another one when my grandson or grand daughter is born in a few months". Mick grinned and ran his hand over his head as he plopped down on top of one of the desks.
Sometime later Derek and Penelope walked up to the others and Derek said, "what are you guys waiting on, let's goooo, momma fixed a huge meal for everybody so that we can all eat together as a family". Dave said, "welllllll did you and kitten finally come out of your love cave?", Derek said, "heyyyy we were apart for a month and we missed each other soooo", Mick raised his hand and said, "I think I can speak for everybody when I say that we don't really need or want the details of your sex life".
Tim, Ron, Rick and Nick smiled and in unison said, "amen to that" and everybody was laughing as they headed toward the elevators so that they could all head to Dave and Fran's for an evening of family togetherness, togetherness that everybody had missed, especially Penelope.
