A Matter Of Trust-Ch 42
A little time later the family was all smiles as they walked into Penelope room and saw that she was holding a now sleeping Hank lovingly in her arms and looking down at him smiling proudly. She looked up and said, "come in guys, come in" and they did just that as they continued making their way across the room too meet the newest member of their family, Hank Spencer Morgan".
Fran said, "how are you doing honey?", Penelope said, "tired but good", she then said, "have you heard anything about Derek?", Fran shook her head no and said, "nothing yet but when the surgery is over they're going to let us know". Penelope looked at Fran and said, "do you think he's going to be alright?", Fran said, "I do" as she gently touched her grandsons little hand and smiled, Dave said, "don't worry about him kitten, he's got too much to live for now, he'll be as good as new in no time".
Mick said, "he's stubborn and he's got you and now Hank to love and take care of, he's gonna be fine", she grinned as the others nodded their heads yes in agreement with what the others at just said. Penelope looked at Reid and said, "would you like to hold your Godson boy wonder?", he said, "I'd be honored Penelope" causing her to grin as she gently placed her sleeping son into the loving arms of his Godfather.
Penelope was talking to JJ, Emilly and the girls about the nursery when Dave's cell started ringing, he walked across the room and said, "Rossi", he then smiled and said, "thank you, when can we see him?", he smiled and said, "thank you" before walking back across the room to tell the others that Derek's surgery was over and that they could see him in a few hours.
Mick said, "what about Penelope?", Penelope said, "what about me?", Mick said, "will you be able to go see him?", Penelope said, "of course I will, I'm going to take our son to see his father", Hotch said, "do you think that's a good idea, he's only a few hours old". Penelope said, "boss man I believe that he can hear what's going on around him and if he hears that he has a son and that his son is in the room with him he'll fight harder to come back to us".
Fran said, "I agree with her, the more stimulation he gets the sooner he's gonna wake up", JJ said, "well then we'll all go see him later, we'll just take turns", Dave said, "he'll be out for a few hours, at least until the sedation wears off". Penelope said, "well then in a few hours we'll go and let his son meet him and then hopefully, just hopefully he'll wake up and see the amazing little boy that the two of us brought into the world".
Ron said, "Morgan is a lucky man", Mick and the others said, "definitely" in unison causing Penelope to grin and then blush, Dave said, "alright kid, it's time to hand over my grandson, I want to get to hold him too". Reid reluctantly handed the baby over to Dave before sitting down beside Penelope on the bed, he said, "I don't say this often Garcia", Penelope looked at him and said, "you don't say what often Spencer?", he took her hands in his and said, "I love you like a sister, you're like the sister I never had".
Penelope hugged him and said, "awwww boy wonder, I love you too", JJ smiled as she watched the brother/sister bond between Penelope and Reid get stronger and stronger with each passing minute. Fran stood watching as person by person got to meet and hold Hank, he was an amazing little boy, one who would be loved by everybody in this room, he was the perfect combination of Derek and Penelope and it was evident that he had all of the family where he wanted them and that was wrapped around his little finger.
