JJ and Emily laughed as Penelope said, "it's true, it's true", their attention then turned to the door when they heard a knock, JJ walked across the room and opened the door and saw Fran standing there with Hank in her arms. She said, "somebody wants to see his mommy before the ceremony starts", as she walked into the room and right over to the bride and once Penelope saw the bundle in her soon to be mother-in-laws arms she smiled.
Emily said, "here let's wrap this around you justtttttt in case", Penelope nodded her head yes as Emily wrapped the sheet around her shoulders so to not get anything on her dress like baby spit up. Fran stood back and snapped a few pictures after she handed the baby over to his mom, they looked so adorable together and she could only imagine Derek in the picture to make it a complete set, a complete family.
JJ said, "awwww just look at him, he's so cute, he's gonna be a heart breaker when he gets older", Penelope said, "yep, just like his daddy soooo I guess you could say he's a morsel off of the old chocolate block", the room instantly filled with the laughter of the women at what she had just said.
They stopped laughing when they heard another knock on the door, Fran said, "that must be Dave" as she walked across the room and opened the door, she grinned and said, "come in husband" as she stepped back. He walked into the room and said, "don't mind if I do wife" as he stopped and kissed her gently on the cheek before continuing on into the room, he stopped when he saw Penelope holding her son.
He said, "kitten you look amazing", she said, "thank you papa bear", he said, "hey kiddo, how's grandpa's little man doin?", Penelope said, "he's good, he's sleepy though grandpa" as she walked over toward Fran. She stopped and kissed her son on the top of the head and said, "it's time for mommy and daddy to get married so you need to stay with nana Fran okay buddy?" as she stood looking down at her now sleeping son.
Fran said, "we'll go ahead down, I'll tell Sarah and Desi to wait at the door that you will be down in a few minutes", Penelope said, "thank you Fran". the older woman said, "you're my daughter-in-law Penelope, finallyyyyyyy you're one of us, you're a Morgan". She laughed and said, "not yet Fran, not yet", Dave said, "you will be in a matter of a few minutes sooooooo we're counting it official", JJ and Emily nodded their heads yes in agreement.
JJ and Emily looked at their friend and said, "we'll be waiting on you outside with Sarah and Desi", Penelope said, "we'll be right there", she then blew out a deep breath as she turned to face Dave again. Dave said, "are you ready to make an honest man out of my step-son?", she laughed and said, "more than ready, more than ready", he held out his arm and said, "shall we kitten?", she looped her arm through his and said, "we shall papa bear, we shall".
The smiling father-daughter combo walked out of the room, down the staircase and stepped into the living room arm-in-arm, they stopped when they saw the maids-of-honor and the bridesmaids. Sarah said, "you ready for this?", Penelope said, "I've been ready for this day since the day I met your brother", Desi said, "so has he Penelope, so has he" as they started lining up outside the door.
Dave said, "alright let's get this show on the road", Penelope nervously smiled and said, "sounds like a plan, sounds like a plan" as everybody started making their way toward the backyard so that the ceremony could begin.
