A Matter Of Trust-Ch 48
Derek stood beside Reid as they waited for the music to start because Derek knew that when the music started it wouldn't be long before he would get to see his baby girl, the woman that he had been in love with forever. He was pulled from his thoughts when the music started, it was then that everybody turned to the back of the garden and watched as first Sarah and then Desi made their way towards the others.
Fran kept glancing from her beautiful daughters to the men that she was sure were soon going to be her son-in-laws, it was obvious to anybody that had seen them together that they like Derek and Penelope belonged together. Reid and Hotch then smiled proudly as Emily closely followed by JJ made their way up the flower pedal path to join the others standing at the front, when they too were standing proudly the music changed, that change let them know that it was time for Penelope and Dave.
Derek felt his heart racing as he saw his baby girl appear at the end of the aisle, she looked so beautiful in her wedding dress, it hugged her body perfectly and you couldn't tell by looking at her that she'd just had a back a couple of months earlier. She had already lost all of her baby weight plus a few more pounds, not that she needed to lose them but she felt better about her self in losing the weight so if it made her happy then Derek was happy too.
Penelope couldn't help but smile happily as her and Dave continued walking, it seemed like the closer she was getting to her hotstuff the faster that she wanted to walk because she couldn't wait to marry him. When they finally made it to the front to the others Dave took her arm loose from his and kissed her on the cheek, next, he put her hand in Derek's and said, "you look so beautiful kitten", she grinned and said, "thanks papa bear" and then her and Derek watched as he walked over and stood beside Fran who was currently holding a sleeping Hank in her arms.
The bride and groom then turned along with the other 8 people standing at the front to face the minister who smiled happily at the nervous couple and said to the people in the crowd, "you may be seated". When they took their seats the minister then said, "dearly beloved, we are gathered here today in the sight of God and these witnesses to join together in the bonds of holy matrimony Derek Michael Morgan and Penelope Grace Garcia".
Fran glanced down at her grandson and then up at his father and thought, "I wish that Derek's father could be here today, I know that he would be so happy for our son because all he ever wanted was for me and his children to be happy". After a short prayer the minister looked at JJ and Reid and asked for the rings", the couple then placed the wedding rings on the bible where the minister then said another prayer in which he asked for a happy life for Derek and Penelope filled with love, joy and happiness.
He then looked at Derek and said, "Derek take this ring and then recite your vows to Penelope", Derek took the ring and slid it onto her finger, smiled and then said, "Penelope, baby girl, you are my world, you are the other part of my heart and I promise to you here in front of our family that I will love you, honor you and cherish you for as long as we both live, I love you so much, I love you with all that I have and all that I am".
The minister then said, "Penelope, take this ring and put it on Derek's finger and then recite your vows to him", she took a deep breath and then reached for the wedding band, she then slid it onto his finger and smiled lovingly into his eyes. She then said, "Derek, Hotstuff, you are now what you've always been and that is the love of my life, I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you, loving you and being loved by you because you now and will forever be the sole owner of my heart".
Mick smiled as he watched the happy couple, ohhhh how he wanted to find an amazing woman like Penelope, one that would love him and be by his side no matter what but finding another woman like her wouldn't be easy but he would try because he knew that he deserved love and he was determined to get it.
Derek and Penelope then once again turned to face the minister who said, "if their is anyone here that can show just cause why these two can't be lawfully joined, let them speak now or forever hold their peace". After a few seconds he said, "by the powers vested in me by this state, I now pronounce you husband and wife", he grinned at the groom and said, "Derek you may kiss your bride".
Derek didn't have to be told twice as he cupped her face in his hands and leaned in and slowly claimed her lips with his in a passionate kiss, they pulled apart to the sound of the minister saying, "it gives me great pleasure to introduce to you for the first time Mr. and Mrs. Derek Morgan", the air filled with the sounds of hands clapping and the shouts of congratulations, Derek smiled at his bride and said, "I love you Mrs. Morgan".
Penelope caressed his cheek and said, "and I love you Mr. Morgan" as she leaned in and gently brushed her lips against his, they pulled apart smiling and then turned to face their family and friends as the claps of congratulations continued.
