*Wut up! I'm back and ready to continue! You guys have been so incredibly helpful, even if you don't realize it yourselves. I love every single last one of you! :'D Yeah, I got Bella drunk again. I just had to. I couldn't help it. :( Ah, well, I know you guys want more Romano, so here's the lovely(?) couple sharing a moment!*

"Did I do anything stupid?"

"No, it's fine."

"But I've lost track of how many glasses of wine I had-"

"Bella!" Romana frowned at me in annoyance and I shut up. We were walking down the streets of Alabama. I wanted to spend a little time in my home country, and I think I subconsciously chose that state because I may have wanted to see Vera again. More reason I there than anywhere else.

"Do you want to go into a resturaunt?" I asked, trying to please Romano.

"Not if it's American."

"O-kay..." I bit my lip and looked from shop window to shop window, trying to find something nice. "Oh, hold on."

I recognized a certain house somehow and ran up the porch.

"Bella, what are you doing?" Romano groaned.

"Nothing. Just visiting someone." I rapped on the door sharply and it opened after a few seconds of silence. A man with greying hair and sad grey eyes appeared.

"Can I help you?" he asked.

"I was wondering if a girl named Vera lived here," I answered. The man raised an eyebrow suspiciously. "I was the one who bought her that stuffed rabbit."

His eyes suddenly lit up and he opened his arms to me. "Ah, so you're the one who made my daughter happy. Thank you so much for your gift to her." He hugged me and I froze, awkwardly wrapping my hands around him.

"It's nothing..." I giggled, secretly proud that I had made a little girl's day. "Can I see her?"

"Yes, yes, of course!" The man rushed inside and came back with Vera. She was wearing overalls again.

"Mornin' ma'am," Vera grinned. I noticed her hugging a dirty, muddy, barely purple stuffed bunny. "I've been busy with Marvin."

"...Marvin?" I repeated.

"Yep, Marvin. You can call him Marv." She held it up. "Yer real kind, ya know. Not even my parents ever got me a present in my lifetime."

"We just never could afford it," her father said to avoid a misunderstanding. "I cannot thank you enough. Is there any way I can repay you?"

"I wasn't expecting to be thanked," I laughed nervously. "I'm just glad she's happy with my gift. Um..." I looked back at Romano, who was staring at me with his arms crossed. He didn't look upset, but he obviously wanted to get moving. "I have to leave. I just wanted to see if you were doing alright."

"Thank ya, ma'am!" Vera squealed as I walked down the steps to the porch.

"Bye!" I waved to her and joined Romano again. "Sorry about that."

"That's okay," Romano replied. "So what do you want to do?"

"Why don't we just go to a park and talk for a while?" I suggested. "We don't always have to be doing something to have a good time, right?" grabbed ahold of his hand and dragged him to the nearest park, and I knew he was holding in protests.

I took in the scenery once we passed the iron gates. It was a wonder not a lot of people came to this particular park. No one was even there. Yet, it was huge. Winding concrete paths, lush, full trees, a beautiful fountain right in the middle... We had the entire place to ourselves.

"Are you okay with being here?" I asked. I knew I'd keep him here despite his answer, but I was being polite.

"It's fine," Romano answered. He put on a smile and ruffled my hair. I grinned back at him sweetly. I could tell he tried hard for me, even if it was just struggling not to show his boredom. My short heels clicked against the concreate as we made our way down the path, hand in hand. He wasn't saying anything, so I opened my mouth first.

"So, see Spain lately?" I regretted the question once I said it. I brushed it off my treating it like I meant it as a joke, chuckling wickedly.

Romano smirked and nudged me. "Let's try and keep him out of it."

"Okay, okay!" I held up my hands in mock surrender.

"Hey, I have a question," Romano said suddenly.

I looked up at him. "Yeah?"

"What do you want?"

I blinked stupidly. "Wh-What do you mean?"

"Like if someone were to get you a gift and you could have anything in the world, what would you ask for?" He stared at me expectantly.

A loving mom is probably not possible, I thought grimly.

"Probably a dog," I answered quickly. It was true. I'd always wanted a cute little puppy. But a small breed. I'd never liked big ones. "I want a sweet pup. They love you unconditionally."

"A puppy, huh?" His eyes were looking up to the sky, deep in thought.

My eyes widened.

Is he really gonna...?

I rolled over in my bed, the sheets tangled around my legs. I yawned loudly at waking up early. I just wanted one day where I could just sleep soundly, but I always woke with the sun. The light flooding through my window roused me. I felt something wet on my cheek and I wiped it off. Something damp rubbed against my face and my eyes snapped open.

I shreiked and bolted into a sitting position. A small red and white ball of fluff was staring at m with loving brown eyes, licking its nose. You could probably guess who was holding it.

"Romano!" I gasped in delight once I got over my shock. "You...You didn't..." I took the puppy from his hands and cradled it in my arms, close to my chest.

"I thought you'd like him," he smiled.

"What breed is it?" I asked, holding up the dog. It licked my nose and I giggled.

"He's a mixed breed." Romano answered. "He won't grow to be very big. Hope you don't mind."

"That's okay," I laughed as the puppy put it's paws on my shoulder. "What's his name?"

"He doesn't have one yet," Romano replied. "You can name his whatever you want."

"..." I stared into my new companion's eyes. (I knew this angered a lot of dogs, but this one didn't seem to mind.) "I like the name Dolce."

Dolce's floppy ears raised a little at the word. He yapped a few times and nuzzled against my neck.

"He's so cute!" I mused. "I wish I could do these kinds of things for you..." I stood up and kissed him deeply as the only thanks I could think of.

I set Dolce on my bed and raised my hand. To my surprise, he reached up and gave me a double high-five. I ran my hair through him wavy fur and his tail wagged wildly.

"Thank you~!" I threw my arms around Romano's neck. "You're the best!"

There was the haunting sound of footsteps that halted at the door. Over Romano's shoulder, I saw my dumb brother.

"PUPPY!" Paulo shouted. He made a beeline for Dolce and the puppy leapt into his arms. "Youre so cute~!"

"Romano gave him to me," I explained. "His name is Dolce. Do you like him?"

Paulo turned to me and beamed. "Of course! He's so adorable!"

Dolce, looking quite content in his arms, yipped happily. Paulo giggled and held Dolce high over his head.

"If you drop him, I will kill you," I growled.

Paulo's eyes widened in fear and he lowered Dolce to the floor. "I'm sorry," he apologized childishly.

"Ah, that's okay!" I said, my happiness returning. I slung my arm around Paulo's shoulders and pulled him close. "This is the best day ever!" I ran to my boyfriend and pulled him into another hug. "I love you so much!"

Romano blushed. "I love you too."

Paulo cocked his head, confused at our affection. "Can I hold Dolce again?" He held his hands out, waiting for the dog to be put back in his hands.

"Yeah, yeah," I sighed. I scanned the floor, but all I saw was wood. "...Dolce?"

"He's gone!" Paulo gasped.

It was then that we heard a loud crash and a shout. I rolled my eyes. My new dog had found my ex-boyfriend, it seemed. Us three rushed down the stairs to make sure everything was okay.
