PLEASE DON'T KILL ME! I'M SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG. I was lacking any inspiration, then it hit me and I finished it but wasn't able to post this final chapter. I'M SORRY! Please forgive me and accept the final chapter.
Dave was the first to take action. His time powers were still in tact, and he used that to his advantage. Within a second he was behind Noir, and next he was directly in front. Noir deflected his blows, but he was tiring out.
Jade took out her rifle and I my wands. John flew around the two, holding the oddly colored hammer with the dice inside. He bonked Noir on the head, and a six appeared over the hammer. A hat similar to the one John was so fond of landed on Noir growled, ripped it off, and chased John.
Jade carefully shot at Noir, avoiding PM, John, and Dave. I flew towards Noir ad shot at him. Narrowly dodging, Noir ignored john and went after me. He stabbed at me, and I deflected the blow with my wands. I jabbed at him, missing. We continued to fight that way, a graceful dance of strikes and dodges, until Dave tried to stab Noir's back. Noir flew upwards, and PM tackled him. They both let go of their swords as they tussled hand-to-hand, PM attacking in a fit of rage.
That's when I figured out what we had to do. "Jade," I said.
"What?"
"Shoot PM."
"What!? She's the good guy, Rose!"
"I know that," I said. "Shoot at her when I say so. Keep your gun aimed at her."
Jade frowned but nodded. She raised her gun, the barrel following Noir and PM. I scowled. Dave and John were repeatedly getting in the way. "Damn," I muttered.
"What's the matter," Jade asked, her finger hovering closer to the trigger.
"Calm down," I said. "Our dear boys need to get out of the way."
Jade chuckled. "I'm guessing we can't tell them to move."
"How did you know?"
"That would be way to simple."
I kept watching Dave and John. They managed to get in the way when there was an opening, and I was tempted to drag them away. But I had to be patient.
Then we were finally blessed. PM was in front of Noir, Dave off to the side and John above them. "Shoot PM, but make sure you hit Noir's heart," I said. Jade gulped, then pulled the trigger. It seemed as though the bullet traveled in slow motion, as if we could watch it but nobody could react quick enough. It went through PM's back and Noir's heart.
The blood shot out, following te bullet. Dave and John stood still, unable to move as they realized just how close they were. Jade gulped. They were both dead, still clutching each other in a mutual death grip.
After the moments of stunned silence that followed, Dave said, "That was easier than I thought it was going to be." We laughed harder than we should have at this remark.
We sailed the ship back into our universe, and Jade brought us to Prospit. Jade, Dave, and John had to sit through congratulations and thanks from the others. I, on the other hand, slipped away, noticed only by Roxy.
"Where ya going, Rosey?" she asked.
"To sleep," I replied, grinning at her.
She returned my smile. "Alright. I'll let you run off." I thanked her, and turned to leave, but she grabbed my hand. "Are you gonna stay?" she asked. I didn't reply. "Just... Think about it. Please." She let me go, and I though of what she was asking.
Back home, I had detached myself from my mother, and anyone who talked to me thought I was some sort of witch. But here, where people accepted me and loved me, the offer was tantalizing, I could stay. I certainly had nothing to return to.
"So this is where you ran off to," John laughed, walking towards me. He hugged me. "That was.. Intense."
"I'm sorry for leaving everyone," I spluttered.
"Oh, it's no problem. Everyone was just surprised to see us alive with all limbs."
"No, not that," I said. "I meant when I left the first time. I should have stayed. With you."
He blushed. "Well, you had your world and I couldn't blame you."
"This is my world," I replied. "And you're here."
He grinned in a goofy fashion. "I take it this means you're staying?"
"Yes," I breathed, a rush of relief passing through me. I was home.
I'm sorry this is so short, I really am. Anyway, I'm glad I finally finished this, it certainly took long enough. I have two stories planned. One is a Dirk/Jake fanfic called "No Homo, But I Want To Be With You. Forever." The other is an Ouran High School Host Club collab which will be done between Super Shipper and I. So keep an eye out for those if you're interested.
