A drop trooper is thrust into combat for the first time. He will have to learn fast in the cauldron of war or die. The conflict is not as simple as it would seem, and Sev will have his faith and better judgement put to the test. Action does start a little late in the story. 16. Chapter 16

Alright guys, I have thought about this long and hard and I am going to have to tell you, with some amount of discomfort, that I am putting this story on indefinite hold.

I would like to say, first off, that you guys have been a great audience. The support has been amazing, and there have been so many times that I have wanted to stop but kept writing for you guys. I was never really expecting my writing to take off, but ninety one followers say otherwise! The comments and reviews have been super encouraging, and I felt they have often helped my writing.

Now, the reason I am putting this story on hold is that I am really fed up with it. I went in to this having absolutely no experience writing a long story, and to be honest I feel like I kind of did a bad job. You have to understand, I have an absolutely terrible memory, and combined with abysmal logistics I kept of forgetting plot points and leaving out characters. I feel like I have written myself into a corner, and I can't really see myself getting out of it.

I have learned a lot from this story, and hope that I can take these lessons and create a new, better story. I still like the idea of a guard X eldar romance, but I want to do a better job of it. I want to know what you guys think. Here are the options as I see them:

1) Make a new, better story This is really what I want to do. I have had an idea for a new story floating around in my head for a while, and will probably end up doing this either way. It will still be eldar X guard, unless you guys would prefer something else. I would also like to know if you guys would like me to keep the same main characters, that is to say Sev and Illineth, in the new story.

2) Keep Truckin' The other option is that I just keep going with this story. If enough people want me to than I will just keep writing chapters for this. It will be at a slower pace, but if enough people really want it then I will do it. I would like to stress that I will be making a new story either way, with a similar romance. It will be at a much slower pace though.
