I know it doesn't seem fair to Amara that she is still the anchor and she's still suffering but I had no one to make the anchor since I didn't like Bonnie being the anchor on TVD.

This is the last chapter! :( It's going to be sad not writing for it anymore but having so many amazing reviews, and followers, and the people who favorite this story it's been amazing.

Thank you guys for reading even after all of my spelling and grammar mistakes. You guys are great!

You're Human

"Welcome everyone!"

It had been two days since Silas and Tessa died. All of the travelers went away once they weren't under anyone's control. Klaus decided to throw a party which Caroline didn't mind. She needed a distraction before they left for three-months.

"Tonight is the time for a celebration and as you know I do love my parties." Klaus cheerfully said. "My love and I will be leaving tomorrow night for around three months. That leaves Elijah and my little sister Rebekah in charge. If I hear anything I will come back and who ever chooses to disobey will answer to me."

Klaus informed everyone. Everyone has gotten use to Klaus being in charge, they knew Klaus would kill them if they didn't listen.

"Now let's get this party started!" Marcel shouted. Everyone cheered and Marcel and Klaus clinked drinks as he held Caroline by her waist.

Caroline giggled and Klaus smiled. After everything Caroline finally felt normal. Everyone started to dance as music started to dance. Marcel turned to them and lifted his glass. "To my sire and his beautiful girl." Caroline beamed.

"Thank you, Marcel."

"I'd watch out Marcel, a part of me feels you might steal my girl." Klaus joked. Marcel laughed. "I don't think I could handle this one. Besides, I have a cute bartender down next door." Marcel remarked. "Tell Cami I said hi." Marcel nodded and mutter "Of course." before walking away.

"You really do look lovely tonight." Klaus said as he scanned down her body.

She was a wearing a tight black, mid-length, bareback, dress. It fit her figure perfectly.

"Thank you."

She hugged him and whispered in his ear, "Can we go somewhere more private?" She asked.

She could feel him smirk. "What do you have in mind?" He playfully asked. "I would like to have a private conversation with the man I'll be traveling with for the next three months." She told him.

"And what will we be discussing?" She put her hand on his should and whispered in his ear. "You'll see."

He looked down and nodded at Elijah, which Elijah seemed to understand what he meant.

Klaus guided Caroline into the room besides the balcony.

"What do you want to talk about Caroline?" He questioned.

"I want to talk about what you've ignored for the past two days." She said in a serious tone. "What would that be?" She looked at him in disbelief. He obviously knew what she was talking about.

"I want to talk about the hallucinations. For the past two days you have ignored the conversation and Mikael told me you got too."

He looked at her irritated. "I would rather go back outside and enjoy me evening so, would you excuse me." He said turning around.

"Don't you dare walk away from me Klaus Mikaelson!" She shouted. Klaus stopped walking to the door. "You have to let me in. If you want this to work you have to talk about your feelings with me. Just tell me what you thought. Do not push me out!"

He sighed and licked his lips.

"We had a daughter named Olivia. We were going on a trip to Paris and we were engaged." He told her. "How did you feel about them, the visions?" She asked suspiciously.

"They felt real. A part of me wanted them to be real, wanted to have that life." He voice got thick. "For a split second, I wanted a normal, boring human life." She felt her lip curve up. "It's okay to want something Nik. It's alright to want what we can't have."

"But I don't want that. You know who I truly am. I'm a man who craves power. I feed off the fear that people feel for me. I love being the man everyone knows not to mess with and that is who I am." He looked at her with dark eyes. "I am a man who is broken."

"Caroline, you have to understand that this is new for me. I don't let people in I push them away. I've daggered each one of my siblings. I kill people for even looking at me that wrong way. I've ruined lives. Caroline, I can't change for you."

She slowly walked towards him.

"I'm just asking you to take it one step at a time. This is new for me to. I mean, I want to finish college and find a career. I want to be my own person but we are in this together Nik. We need to take this a step at a time or this won't work."

"You want to go back to college, as in Mystic Falls."

"Rebekah and I applied to New Orléans University." She informed him. "I want the same things. I still don't think killing and compelling is right, and I'll never think it's good. I'm not trying to change you. I'm trying to show you what you can be."

"I don't believe we've officially picked a place to go, Sweetheart."

She grinned. "I've been thinking and I want to go to Rome. You promised me Paris, Rome, and Tokyo. I think Rome should be first." He wraps his arms around her and stroked her back softly.

"Rome is a perfect place to go. I actually believe I have a home in Rome. A big house full of antiques. It's truly beautiful."

"That sounds like a deal."

"Enjoying yourself?" Kol asked as he and Bonnie dance.

"Yeah... It's just weird seeing your family happy." She replied. He looked around and saw Rebekah giggling at Stefan as they dance, and saw Elijah feeding Katherine a chocolate strawberry while smiling.

"I can't say I don't agree with you on that. I guess things change."

"I've been meaning to ask, can we stay here a bit longer?" Kol's eye-brows furrowed. "You want us to stay here with my siblings?" She chuckled. His siblings were hard to get along with. She nodded.

"Caroline is here and Stefan. I think I can handle a couple of weeks with your family."

"So you'll be sticking with me for a while?" He asked which caused her blushed. "Well, now that you mentioned it, I was planning on going back with Elena." She teased. He quietly growled.

He brushed his lips against her ear, "Over my dead body."

"Remember when we had our first kiss?" She asked.

"You seem upset," Kol noted.

"Am I just suppose to be okay with the fact that my best friend almost killed herself?" She hissed. Kol shrugged, "I was just trying to help darling." Bonnie sighed. "It's been a long day Kol. My friends don't do this. I am the one who protects them."

"Why do you have to protect them? Caroline, she was the one who grieved for you. She was the one who felt guilty that she didn't know you where dead. But the others, the didn't bate an eye."

"That is not true. Elena grieved and so did Matt." She argued. Kol squinted at her. He slowly walked to her. "So you are saying your friend appreciate you. They always say thank after you help them. They always choose you over their selfish needs."

Bonnie looked everywhere but at him.

"I think you love them to much to realize they don't love you as much as you do them."

"Stefan and Damon chose Elena over you. Elena chose them over you. She nearly killed you and yet you forgive her." Bonnie closed her eyes and let tears drop. She isn't the type of girl who let's out sadness.

"You're friends didn't know you were dead for three months Bonnie. That is not alright."

"Why do you even care?" She asked. "Because it's somewhat sad to see a woman cry over people who do not deserve it." He softly whipped away her tears and rested his hand on her cheek.

"They don't deserve you." Bonnie glanced down to his hand. "I can feel it." She glanced up to him. "I can feel your hand." She restated. He watched her smile. "You can feel me?" He asked.

"Yeah," She answered.

"Good," Before she could say anything and his lips were on hers. She sighed into the kiss. Everything he had been holding back was finally free. He stroked her cheek and she grabbed at his hair.

They slowly pulled apart.

The kiss left her breathless. She had never felt like that during a kiss. She felt needed. She felt wanted. "Wow," She whispered.

"That is what it is like to be kissed by a man Darling."

"Of course, Darling."

"What happens when I get older?" She asked.

"We'll figure it out as it goes." He reassured her.

Bonnie watched Klaus and Caroline dance with Rebekah and Stefan.

"We make quiet the little group don't we?" Bonnie joked.

"Yes we do."

-The Next Day-

Caroline walked into the dungeon.

Elena and Damon looked over to her. "You guys are leaving today. Damon, your car is in the back. Bonnie and Stefan are out there to say goodbye." She announced. She quietly broke their chains. She didn't know what else to say. She was hurt.

Damon stood ready to leave while Elena looked at her. "Can we talk? I promise it'll be quick." She asked.

Caroline sighed and nodded. Damon looked over to Caroline. "I know you will never forgive me but I'm sorry for everything I have done to you. Nothing I say will make up for it but, I'm truly sorry."

"You're right, nothing you say will make up for it. But, I still won't let them kill you even though you deserve it." She walked closer to him with cold eyes. "Damon, I promise you if you step foot in New Orléans again, even when I'm gone. I will find you and I will kill you." She threatened. "Am I clear?"

"Crystal," He answered. "I'll be in the car."

"Caroline, I don't want to end things like this."

"You teamed with Silas to kill me. All to bring Bonnie back. How is that fair? How am I suppose to forgive you for that?"

"You aren't, I don't deserve your forgiveness but I am asking for it. We've known each other our whole lives. You were the one who pushed me on the swings. You were the one who got me in trouble at recess. You talk to the first boy I liked for me. We even drank for the first time together. I get why you wouldn't want to be my friend but can we please end this on a good note. I just want us to be good again."

"The thought of use being good, isn't going to happen. After everything we've been through, you still wanted me to die. Like you said we did everything together and yet you let me die. You betrayed me in ways no one else has. Our friendship, our life together is over."

"I'm so sorry Caroline. Please remember that."

Elena pulled her into a hug. Caroline hesitated to hug back but she did. "Goodbye Elena."

"Goodbye Care." She pulled away from her. "Take care of yourself and even though you hate me, call Jeremy once in a while and Matt."

"I will, tell them I love them. Remember what I said to Damon. Don't set a foot in this town." Elena nodded sadly. She gave Caroline a small smile before walking out of the room.

Caroline let out a sob.

Their friendship was truly over.

"They are finally leaving." Katherine said as she watched Stefan and Damon hug.

"I heard Caroline threat Damon that she'd kill him if he steps a foot here." Elijah told her. Katherine chuckled. "Damon and Stefan Salvatore the only men that have trick me. A part of me will miss him."

Elijah growled and gathered her in his arms.

"Are you trying to make me jealous?" He asked. She giggled. "Is it working?" She smirked playfully.

"What game are you playing my dear Katerina?" He asked seductively. "Why, Do you want to play?" He smirked. "How can I play if I don't know the rules?"

She shoved him on the bed before crawling on top of him. "My dear sweet Elijah. You must know, I don't have rules." She whispered before smashing her lips into his. He switched places so she was under him.

"Say your mine, Katerina."

"I'm yours as you are mine."

"Always and Forever."

"Finally your brother and that whore is gone." Rebekah said happily.

Stefan chuckled, "You do know because he is my brother I'll have to see him some time." He asked. "I know, but for now we just have to deal with my family." She told him. "I'd rather deal with Damon than all of your brothers."

"I feel sympathy for all the men who had to deal with them." Stefan chuckled and kissed her.

"Maybe we should take a trip like Klaus and Caroline. I'd love to go to Australia and meet a kangaroo. Maybe even a Kola bear." Rebekah smiled brightly before giving him another kiss.

"That's sounds fantastic." She commented.

"I actually have something for you." He went into his bag and handed her a box. Rebekah looked at his with confused eyes. "It's a gift 'Bekah. Open it." He told her. Rebekah hesitantly opened it.

She gasped.

There was a princess cut, two-tone gold diamond and aqua blue sapphire, ring.

"Stefan, this is beautiful." She whispered. "You deserve it. Because starting now, we are free from everything that was holding us back. No Elena and Damon. Your brother is okay with us being together. This is our start." He said bring her hands in his.

"I love you Rebekah Mikaelson. I loved you in the 20's and I love you now"

Tears filled Rebekah's eyes. Stefan has always been the one for her. Matt didn't want to be with a vampire, Damon used her, Marcel used her, and no one else cared. Stefan treated her with respect even after her hurting everyone.

"I love you too Stefan. Always and Forever."

"Always and Forever."

Caroline and Klaus walked into the living room where everyone was.

Bonnie ran to Caroline and gave her a hug. "Call me everyday, okay. No matter what." Caroline chuckled and nodded. "I promise I will call you everyday." Klaus rolled his eyes and mutter 'You'll be busy'.

Bonnie rolled her eyes. "You do know, you can back out of it and we can go travel." She joked. Caroline giggled. "I was thinking about it."

Stefan slapped Klaus on the back and hugged Caroline. "I swear to god if your life gets in danger in any way, I might kill you." She smiled. "Of course, I'll call you everyday too." Rebekah gave Caroline a hug and then gave Klaus one.

"Don't be gone too long and make sure not to hurt her." Rebekah told him. Klaus smiled at his little sister. "Of course baby sister. I could never."

Kol said goodbye to both of them. Katherine stood in front of Caroline.

"Come back soon." She said. Caroline smiled and opened her arms. "I don't get a hug? You do owe me." Katherine jokingly glared before hugging her. She nodded over to Klaus before sitting next to Elijah.

"Bye 'Lijah." Klaus said.

"Come back soon Niklaus."

"Bye guys!" Caroline said giving everyone a hug again.

They walked out hand in hand. The limo came and they both got in.

"Are you ready Sweetheart?" He asked. "We can turn around and go back." She shook her head. "We need this. Besides, with Kol there I don't really want to go back." She joked.

He smiled and kissed her. She grabbed the champagne while he grabbed the glasses. He poured champagne in each cup before handing her, her glass. "This is to new begins as a happy couple. We are now starting a normal life and traveling before we can back to chaos." She said softly.

"To us, love and our life together." He said lifting his glass. "Too our life together,"

They both took a sip before they kissed. "Thank you for making me happy and for trying my world, sweetheart."

"You're welcome, thank you for showing my the world." She thanked. "You're welcome."

They kissed tenderly.

"I will love you. Always and Forever."

"Always and Forever."

I hope the chapter wasn't too short.

Once again thank you for reading this story. It's build me a lot of confidence since I want to be a writer after a graduate high school. I feel bad because all of the spelling/grammar mistakes I made in the past, but you guys didn't seem to mind it much.
