I do not own the Teen Titans. If I did, they would still be on air.

Robin walked back to his room. He didn't know why Raven wouldn't tell him what was bothering her. He cared so much for her and just wanted to help. She had completely ruined the surprise birthday party Beast Boy had put together for her. She claimed it was just because she didn't like parties. He knew it was more than that. Much more. He went into his room and got ready for bed. He tried to go to sleep, but it was no use. He kept thinking about Raven and wondering what she was keeping from him. He looked at his alarm and it read 1:17. He finally decided to walk around a little bit. He decided to go up to the roof. When he got to the door to the roof, he thought he heard something from the other side. He listened closely. It sounded like, crying. He opened the door without a sound, and he saw the source of the noise. Raven was sitting by the edge of the roof crying. He came up and sat beside her. "Raven, what's wrong?" he asked.

She jumped when she heard him speak. "Nothing," she said, trying to wipe away the tears.

It was to late though, Robin had already seen them. "Raven, let me help. Tell me why you are so upset," he said.

She looked up at him and he saw the hopelessness in her eyes. "My father, Trigon or Scath, is coming to take over the world," she said, uncovering the glowing red symbols on her arms. "He gets here through me, I'm the portal."

Robin looks at her. "That's not all," he said.

"I have known this since I was little. They looked into my future when I was born on Azarath. When I become the portal, I will die," she said and she broke down crying again.

Robin pulled her into a hug. She cried on his shoulder for a while. When she calms down, she looks out at the water. Robin sees how the her eyes shine and thinks, 'Wow, she's beautiful'.

She felt him staring at her and, without looking up, said, "What?"

That snapped Robin out of the trance he had been in. "Nothing," he lied, blushing.

"Robin, I'm scared," she said.

"Don't be," he whispered, looking her in the eye.

She saw in his eyes what she lacked at that moment, hope.

Robin started to lean in, and Raven did the same. They closed their eyes as their lips brushed. Before she had time to pull away all together, he kissed her again. It didn't last for long, but it communicated all that Robin felt for her. When they separated, Robin looked her in the eye again. "Don't be afraid, we will find a way to stop this, or we will die trying," he said as he looked out over the water.
