You are all AMAZING.
Mistake Experience: The differences between Kenji(Percy) and Theseus has changed over time. The difference in eye color and the lack of monsters chasing after Kenji's tail certainly makes a difference between Kenji and Theseus.
Just so you know:

He opened his eyes alertly. The sun was glaring through the window, right onto his face. Streaks of light spread out in beams on the floor. The light shined brightly, signalling the new day. He hopped out of bed, ignoring the quite loud snores of his roommate. He was already used to it by now.
He quietly made his way to the window. The glowing ball of light shone even brighter as he near the locked window. Looking around cautiously, like always, his nimble fingers unlocked the locked window casually and pushed the window open. The window creaked. He did not even wince. Though his eye did twitch fractionally, as one eye glanced over at the sleeping figure of Grover snoring away. Satisfied that he wasn't going to wake, he pushed the window out even further, swinging the window out all the way. The window creaked even more, letting out a loud obnoxious creak. Grover did not even start awake, just kept on snoring away. Kenji quietly snorted, if that was him, he would have jumped to his feet while drawing his gun. It was moments like these, Kenji was glad that Grover was a deep sleeper.
He looked around and about, the whole school was surrounded by thick forests. His kind of place. The forest was the first thing he noticed. It was a great beauty. Large towering trees with thick leaves hanging down. Uprooted roots and plants littered the ground. Few flowers popped up. And of course large sturdy branches.
He looked down from his place beside the open window. He jumped up onto the edge of the window, catching sight the nearby sturdy branch that he used every morning. He carefully lowered himself onto the branch. The branch wavered for a moment, adjusting to the new weight that sat upon it. He stood up slightly, so that he was tall enough to close the window lightly. The window creaked again. Stupid, goddamn window.
That window was so annoying. He leaped from branch to branch, the ground getting closer to him as he jumped more branches. The ground was rushing up towards him. Welcoming his with open arms.
His knees bent as he landed lightly on the ground, absorbing the impact, making only the slightest noise. He achieved this with year of practice on the streets, after all, you can't pickpocket someone, stomping around like a hoard of stampeding elephants. And of course, it is also helpful running from the police. Taking only the slightest time to readjust himself on the ground, he sped off towards the forest like an Olympic runner that had just heard the gun shot go off.
He pumped his legs. Trees sped past him faster and faster as he accelerated through the forest. The wind whipped through his hair.
He continued sprinting for who knows how long before finally coming to a stop in a small meadow, deep inside the forest. Sweat poured down his face in large buckets, dripping onto the grass underneath his foot. The sweat plastered his hair to his forehead. The sweat also glinted off his skin. He panted, feeling the cold wind sweep by him now that he had stopped running. His lungs also screamed for air. Andrenaline coursed through his veins.
Closing his eyes, he imagined a long elegant silver bow on his hands, along with a quiver of never ending arrows strapped to his back. He soon felt a weight on his back and in his hand. The quiver was on his back with the bow itself in his hands. He held the bow up to the sun, marveling its dangerous beauty. Such a beautiful weapon that could kill. This weapon has not yet seen blood of another human, he hoped it never will. It had certainly, ended many animal's lives, but certainly no humans.
In his other hand, he pulled out one of his guns. He had two guns and one hidden one, those were his favorites. They were guns with silencers or what some people like to call suppressors. To be exact, a Ruger Mk II pistol and a Sphinx AT 380 pistol. He had another one that is hidden (not telling where), the SIG-Sauer P226.
He pulled out his Mk II, looking at it, before looking back at the bow.
He stared at the pistol and mentally said mournfully, Sorry, but you do not have never ending bullets. The bow has never ending arrows.
He put the gun back in its, of course, hidden holster.
He shifted his feet into the ready position of shooting the bow and took a deep breath. In fast succession, he drew a arrow from the quiver on his back, nocked it, pulled it back increasing the tension, aiming, then letting go. All of this happening less than 3 seconds. He nearly growled in frustration. He had been working on the speed he could shoot an arrow and those two seconds more than one second, he could be dead. In all his time on the streets, time is of the essence. Even a millisecond after, you could dead.
Taking another deep breath, he continued to shoot another five arrows at the tree where one arrow already sat. All of the arrows met their mark. And all of them were in the some place.
Looking at the arrows hesitantly, he took out two arrows, instead of one. As clumsy as he first started to learn how to use a bow, he nicked both arrows. Remembering how those girls had shot to arrows which flew with precision, he let go. One arrow hit home, but the other arrow veered off in the other direction and his two tree to the right of the intended destination.
His lips quirked up as he dryly remarked, "Well, that was a good first try."
He'd never tried to shoot two arrows at once so considerinng the fact that one made it to its target was a win for him.
Looking up at the sky, he could tell that the time was almost reaching 7:30. This was also a skill learned during his time on the streets. He didn't exactly have a watch on his wrist. Though he could have stood one. He didn't think of it at the time. It is a pretty good idea now, he mused.
He looked around the meadow that was now littered with silver arrows. The silver arrows just won't disappear. Or maybe if it did, not fast enough.
He sighed. He slung the arrow around his back and bent down to retrieve the closest arrow. He colleted all of the stray arrows and stuffed them back into the quiver as he didn't know what else to do with them.
He closed his eyes and imagined the bow and quicker to disappear. He soon felt the comfortable weight that was on his back disappear.
The disappearing bow and quiver seemed reluctant to disappear, but soon disappeared back to where it came from.
He looked around at the area around him, it was littered with trees. His face grew into a large smile split his face in half. If you are going to leave, why not have fun whole doing it.
Kenji was sure that most teenagers would not consider running fun, but hey, Kenji was no average teenager.
He approached a quite large looking tree, deeming that the tree was sturdy enough, his fingers started to look for handholds. Once he found one, he quickly scaled the tree and crouched on a branch.
He soon started to run, leaping from branch to branch. An occasional leaf would brush at his body. His vision was full with green and at the top of his vision, some blue. In comparison, as he ran on the ground, it was open spaces, with none of the obstacles.
Sooner than Kenji would have liked, he arrived back at the school. Suddenly he remember something.
It was the last day of school!
The first thing he did when he entered the school was to head to the cafeteria. As he walked down the hallways, he absently noted the time. It was 8:00. Well at least somewhere around there.
As he pushed open the cafeteria doors, he immediately spotted the familiar head of curly brown hair and the unmistakable pair of crutches set against the side of the table.
Before heading to the table where Grover had been sitting alone, Kenji first stopped to get a fruit cup. Even though the other dishes in the school was ghastly, the fruit was surprisingly good. He did not understand why Grover enjoyed those enchiladas that they served here. He tried one and to be honest, it wasn't that good. Don't tell Grover that though, he mentally noted. Don't tell Nico or Bianca either because they have big mouths and would probably blab to Grover the first chance that got. Little devils living in the shell of a human body.
He plopped down next to Grover, also setting down his tray full of fruits.
Grover looked at him and said with his mouth full, "Hey, Kenji. Where were you this morning?"
"Just outside," answered Kenji vaguely, "needed fresh air."
Grover nodded, "Oh," and swallowed.
Kenji asked Grover, "Do you know it is the last day of school?"
Grover threw his hands up excitedly, "Know?! I've been counting down the days!"
Kenji chuckled, "Of course."
Grover nudged Kenji with his elbow as he finished off his bowl of fruit, "Hey, Kenji. Remember? Remember?"
Kenji put his head into his hands, "Remember? Of course I remember."
Grover smirked, "You deserve it."
"I disagree."
Grover stood, dumping his empty bowl into the trash can, "Let's go."
Kenji looked forlornly at his half empty bowl of fruit, "Fine."
He scooped up the bowl and also dumped it into the trash can.
The two boys started to walk towards the gym.
They walked into the half-decorated gym. A large banner hung at the front of the gym broadly stating: Welcome To The End of The Year Dance!
Kenji trudged in as Grover cheerfully crutched in, whistling a happy tune.
Kenji groaned that was almost not faked, "How could you be so cheerful?"
"It's the end of the year!" exclaimed Grover.
"Yeah. Yeah. Yeah," Kenji waved a dismissive hand.
"Well," Grover clapped his hands together, "let's get started!"
The party was in full swing that night. Loud music pumped in the background, vibrations shaking the ground. Bodies jumped up and down in the crowded space. Cliques of girls flocked on the dance floor in groups while some of the awkward kids stood in the back, playing on their phones or something.
On the sides of the decorated gym, there laid tables upon tables of food and drinks. Large bowls of fruit punch sat in the middle of the longs tables on both sides. All types of food was laid out from pastries to candy.
Multiple kids were raiding the food. After all, why not? There's free food. Might as well take advantage of it.
Kenji was one of those people that stood off to the sides, eating a handful of m&ms. Kenji watched as he saw two small bodies push their way through the moving crowd towards him.
They finally emerged and greeted him cheerfully, "Hi! Where's Grover?"
Kenji shrugged, "I don't know. He disappeared right after the dance started."
Nico looked around, "I think I see him!" He pointed to the doorway. Sure enough, Grover came hobbling him, but another group of 3 kids walked in after him.
Bianca started pulling Nico away, "Come on. Let's get food."
Nico looked reluctant, "But I want to meet Grover's new friends."
Bianca rolled his eyes, "You could meet them later."
Nico shifted his eyes from Bianca to Grover and back to Bianca, "Fine."
Bianca started dragging her reluctant younger brother towards the mass of food. They disappeared into the crowd.
Right as they disappeared, Grover along with his mysterious group of friends appeared in his vision.
Grover waved at him, "Hey!"
A black haired girl next to him looked at him questionably, "Who is that, Grover?"
Realization seemed to dawn on him, "Oh yes! You don't know each other yet."
He pointed the the girl that asked the question. She dressed like a punk/goth type of girl. She also seemed like the girl that you don't want to mess with.
She waved, "Hey, what's up. Name's Thalia." Kenji liked her already.
A little far away from Thalia was a pair of a boy and girl. There was some tension between Thalia and the two. The two girls were glaring daggers at each other. Kenji wondered what happened between the two.
The blond girl stood tall, overconfident, and sniffed, "Annabeth."
The boy beside her greeted Kenji the same way, "Theseus."
Kenji froze. It couldn't be. It was his used to be brother. He glanced at his face, it was still the murky green as always. Kenji shuddered as he thought of himself with green eyes. Augh.
Outwardly, Kenji smiled and waved happily, "Kenji." Theseus didn't seem to recognize him. Good. Well he wasn't expecting him to.
Thalia smiled at him, "Nice to meet you, Kenji."
Annabeth and Theseus ignored him. Deeming him unworthy of their attention.
Kenji smiled back at Thalia, "Nice to meet you too."
Without Kenji seeing, Thalia glanced at Grover. Grover shops his head.
Kenji turned away from Thalia, he could tell when they walked in that they were demigods. They were definitely inexperienced ones. Even though you should be cautious of your surroundings, don't make it so obvious. And also, never let your guard down. Thalia is albeit more experienced though after staying at this dance danger free for 30 minutes, she also let her guard down. Though her hand did occasionally twitch towards her wrist where a bracelet sat. She seemed confused on why. She looked around occasionally suspiciously.
Annabeth and Theseus had let their guard down immediately after they walked through the doors to the gym. As for now, they wandered around with Theseus stuffing his face and plates full of piled food. Disgusting. And the same as always. Kenji bet that he doesn't even remember he had a brother.
Suddenly, something vibrated in his pocket. He recognized it as his phone. He dug it out, recognized Nico's caller ID, and ran off running. But when he heard footsteps behind him, he skidded to a stop.
He spun around angrily, "What, do you think you are doing?"
The blond, How did she get there?, rolled her eyes like he was the idiot, "What do you think we are doing? Following you."
"Well, stop following me," Kenji demanded, Kenji spun away again, knowing the group was following him.
He dove into the sea of people, losing then for sure. Sure enough, they got lost, having no experience. He heard their indignant yells, "Where is he?" "I can't don't him." "We've lost him!".
Kenji snorted under his breath, "Idiots."
He started to worry as he burst through the exit, unable to see Nico. He had specifically told Nico to not call him unless it is an emergency. He hoped this was not a joke. He continued to run outside.
He strained his ears and heard sounds of dragged feet and a body smashing into the ground. A girl's voice cried out. It was Bianca.
He ran even faster. But as he approached closer to the skirmish, he knelt inside a bush. Though he had to restrain himself not to rush out of there. He took a deep breath and centered himself, forgetting about his emotions. Looking at the situation logically.
Bianca had tripped into the ground, pushed too hard by the man behind her, in which he recognized as Dr. Thorn. Dr. Thorn was a suspicious character. This just confirmed it. He was shaking in unrestrained anger as he trailed Dr. Thorn pushing Bianca and Nico.
A few months after meeting Nico and Bianca, they soon grew to be his soft spot amongst a sea of metal.
Seeing Nico and Bianca being forced forward, he was glad that Nico enough time to call Kenji.
He slipped his hand around one of his guns. He couldn't tell which because his full undivided attention was on the two siblings.
He brought his hand up and curled his fingers around the trigger. He aimed at the head, and shot.
The bullet flew silently, well almost silently, there was a soft pew sound. It flew straight and true. And it is approaching its target. And missed. Missed? Kenji blinked, it missed. He had never missed since a couple months after he held a gun in his hand.
Realization dawned on him, this was not anything he had ever fought. It was a Greek monster. A tail swung from behind Dr. Thorn. To be exact, a manticore. Reluctantly, he imagined his bow and quiver, though he heard a familiar hunting horn sound. It was the Hunters of Artemis. He couldn't imagine how pissed off these girls would be if they saw he had one of their bows. Especially Artemis herself.
He instead pulled out his sacred knife. Even though it was a reminder of his past life, he still carried it around as he had an attachment to the knife. And today, it proved handy. Slowly aiming at the manticore's head, he cocked his arm back and threw as hard as he can. The knife cut through the air.
It almost connected with the monster'a head when he jerked to the right. He was tackled by the blond, Annabeth. Fury overtook his vision, "You idiot girl!" he roared.
It was a fatal mistake on his part. The manticore now knew where his location was. It took his choice of having a sneak attack.
Annabeth retorted back, "You're the idiot," and stabbed the manticore. Right as the knife sank into the manticore, she wore a smug smile on her face. But when the manticore did not, she stared confused at the manticore as of saying, "Why isn't it disintegrating?"
The manticore looked around panicked. He was surrounded and he knew it. The Hunters were aiming their bows at him from the forest. The demigods were on the sides. Kenji was on the opposite side they are on.
Then suddenly his face hardened in determination before resorting back to his scared persona. His eyes looked at the Bianca and Nico. Kenji reacted a fraction too late. The manticore's tail swiped at the two siblings. It missed Nico, but snagged Bianca. Even though he did not want them to know he had a weapon that could kill Greek monsters when he was acting like a mortal.
Nico struggled from behind Kenji, "Let me go! Our sister is out there! In danger!"
Kenji hissed back, "And I don't want you to be in danger either." Nico backed up a little bit.
"Well, fuck this," he muttered.
He whipped out his childhood knife and threw it at the manticore's tail, hoping to sever it off, with deadly accuracy.
It half severed it off, but the manticore scooped up Bianca in his arms. Annabeth charged forward in an act of complete idiocy as she charged forward and threw her arms around the manticore's neck, hanging on to it with her dear life. She jumped off as the manticore teetered towards the edge of the close and gave the manticore a little push that sent the manticore and Bianca toppling off the cliff.
Both Kenji and Nico raced towards the cliff, "Bianca!", they yelled in unison. Panic painting in and out of Nico'a voice. Nico seemed ready to jump off the cliff after Bianca.
Kenji seized him, wrapping his arms around Nico's waist, "Bianca's been captured. But don't worry we'll get her back. Don't worry..." Kenji himself was struggling not to hurl himself off the cliff, but logic won out.
Nico cried out and struggled even more, "Do you not care about her?"
Kenji almost stumbled back in shock and stayed silent, but he sunk to his knees, placing Nico on his lap. Nico still struggled, but Kenji stayed as unmoving as a statue. After a while of struggling, Nico laid limp.
Tears cascaded down his face. Kenji rubbed circles on his back soothingly. A few stray tears escaped from him too. These two kids were the closet to family to him since Alex.
"Everything will be alright... Everything will be fine..."
"I hope so..."
