Fiona, Cake and the other character were all lying limp in the grass, covered with silver slime. The slime slowly melted off their bodies, but they still didn't move.
"Are you okay?" Finn asked, instinctively rushing over to Fiona. He bent over and gently shook her. He lifted her hand to check her pulse, but the moment he touched her hand a light appeared. It was a gold light that surrounded Fiona before she coughed a couple of times. Finn watched in awe as she slowly opened her eyes.
Fiona turned her head and looked around. She touched her hand to her head and looked up at Finn.
"Where am I? Who are you?" She mumbled tiredly. "Wait, you're the one I saw in my reflection! Did you bring me here?" Fiona suddenly seemed to come to life.
"No I didn't! I mean, not on purpose!" Finn stuttered. "Are you okay?"
Fiona lifted herself up and ran her hand over her clothes. "I think so."
"Are you Fiona by any chance?" Finn asked.
"Yeah." She answered. "How did you know? Who are you?"
"My name's Finn, and the Ice King-"
"Queen." Fiona interrupted.
"What?" Finn asked as Jake watched with interest.
"You said Ice King, you must have meant the Ice Queen and said King by accident." Fiona said bluntly. "And if you know Ice Queen, then I must still be somewhere in Aah."
"No, I meant King and you're not in 'Aah'. This is the land of OOO." Finn said. Fiona stared at him seriously for a minute, then she laughed.
"Ha! Cake's pranking me right? Nice one Cake, where are you?" Fiona shouted as her eyes fell upon the lifeless Cake and Marshall. "CAKE!" She screamed. Fiona ran to Cake's side and shook her. After Cake didn't respond she moved to Marshall and more violently shook him.
"What happened? What did you do to them?!" Fiona screamed at Finn and Jake.
"Calm down." Jake said.
"We didn't do anything. You guys came out of that stump that used to be our tree house!" Finn pointed to the stump. Fiona followed his gaze and ran to the stump. She began to touch it when Finn ran after her.
"DON'T!" He screamed. Finn reached Fiona and held her back.
"WHY NOT?!" She screamed back. Fiona kicked and tried to wriggle out of FInn's grasp. "YOU GONNA HURT ME TOUGH GUY?!"
"No! If that's where you came from it might send you back, then you might not get to use it again! If that's true then you might not be able to help your friends, or worse!" Fiona began to listen to reason and stopped kicking. "We need to stay calm and try to figure this out, maybe you can tell us how you got here." Finn said. Fiona sighed and nodded.
"Jake, go get the Princess, she should be able to help with this." Jake obeyed Finn and ran toward the Candy Castle. After Jake was gone, Finn and Fiona sat on the grass together. "Tell me what happened." Finn said to Fiona.
"Well, there was this girl who claimed to be human..." Fiona explained her whole story to Finn, up to this very point of course. In the time it took her to explain, she repositioned Marshall and Cake. So that she would know if they stopped breathing, but they seemed fine for now. Of course, it was a little hard to tell with Marshall. After that Finn and Jake told their story of the stump.
"Now how did you know about me?" Fiona asked.
"There's this guy who lives here, the Ice King, and he wrote a story about you two. He based it on me and Jake, just he made girl versions of me and Jake. Which is you and Cake."
Fiona looked down at her lap where she had rested Cake and Marshall's heads. She gently stroked both of their heads with worry.
"Sorry about your tree house." Fiona said quietly.
"Nah, don't worry about it."
"I guess our next move is to try to wake up these two." Fiona suggested. "How did you wake me up?"
"I just touched you." Finn said.
"Then touch these two and see what happens." Fiona said excitedly. Finn nodded and poked Cake a couple times. He held her hand like he held Fiona's but she remained motionless. Fiona sighed.
"What's his name again?" Finn asked gesturing toward Marshall.
"Marshall Lee."
"Do I have to hold his hand too?"
Fiona scrunched up her face. "What kind of question is that, just do it!"
Finn groaned but held Marshall's hand anyway. Nothing happened.
"Well, that didn't work." Finn sat back down. "Well, I'm the other you, and I woke you up. So maybe the other Cake and Marshall Lee need to wake them up."
"You're right!" Fiona said. "So Jake would wake up Cake and...do you know who Marshall is in this world?"
Finn nodded. "I do."
"She has long dark hair right? And she's a vamp too?"
Finn nodded again. "How'd you know?"
"I saw her in the stump. Just like I saw you, and Cake probably saw Jake."
"We should go find the other Marshall Lee. We'll leave Jake a note." Finn said as he pulled some paper out of his adventure pack.
"What about Cake? She needs Jake and we can't just leave her here!" Fiona said.
"Let's leave her in the tree house, with my friends BMO, N.E.P.T.R. and Shelby. I'll leave a note for Jake and she should be fine."
"Haha, BMO is in our world too and so are N.E.P.T.R. and Shelby. Except it's Shelton instead of Shelby." Fiona said, she and Finn moved Cake inside. Along with a note for Cake from Fiona and one for Jake from Finn.
Dear Jake,
Me and Fiona left to find Marcy so she can wake up Marshall Lee. If you hold Cake's hand she'll wake up (hopefully) then take the princess and Cake and meet us at Marcy's house.
-Finn
Dear Cake,
I have a lot to catch you up on, main thing, our other selves live in this world we've been transported too. Just follow Jake and he'll take you to me. Then I'll try to explain what I know.
-Love Fiona
"You sure it's a good idea to leave a cat with a dog?" Finn asked. Fiona thought it over.
"Probably not." She shrugged, making Finn laugh. Leaving Finn and Fiona together was probably a worse idea.
