Chapter 11 Haunted Part 1

Danny's PoV******************************************************

"AGH!" I screamed, tears pouring down my face as thunder boomed outside. Shuttering in bed, my mind was still stuck in the dream I'd just moments before.

It was that day again; the day where my entire life completely died. My second family and friends were once again strapped to that God-awful container, only this this time, they were joined by my birth family, Sammy, Cory, Kevin, Selena, and…Tero. She had enough time to mouth something to him before they exploded in a fiery ball of medal and flammable condiments.

Then, his hand had gripped my hair and he whispered in my ear, "Every day that passes, you become more and more like me. It doesn't matter if Plasmius has a part in it; your new family will soon leave you and you'll succumb to your hatred, because I'm still here. I still exist. That means you… still turn into me!"

"Danny?" My head shot to the door to see Tero peeking through a crack in the door. "I heard you scream…" She took note of my tears and fully came into the room. "Are you okay?" When I didn't—couldn't—answer her, she seemed to lose her confidence and said, "I can leave—"

Tero was cut off as I leapt out of bed and hugged her, burying my face into her shoulder. "Please," I sobbed, losing control over myself. "Please, don't leave me."

She seemed shocked at my reaction, but soon returned the hug and started to stroke my hair in an attempt to calm me. "Shh…Everything's alright, Danny. I won't leave you."

"Promise?" I whimpered.

Her hand tightened on my head and I could have sworn she nuzzled my ink black hair. "I promise."

Robin's PoV*********************************************************

I gasped for breath as I glared at Slade in the shadows of the old hideout. I had known he was still alive, even though we found though we found his mask in the rubble of the cave collapse. While the others slept soundly at night, I was the one to keep constant vigilance. And now, here is my proof.

"Your friends won't find the generators, and they can't see me." Slade drawled in his monotone voice. "They can't see the truth, Robin, even when it's right in front of them."

"Then, I'll take care of you myself!" I snarled. "I've stopped you before!"

"Robing…if you've stopped me, why am I still here?" With an enraged shout, I jumped to kick Slade in the face, but he dodged and threw me into the ground, breaking another rib. My entire body screamed with pain, but I had to keep fighting… "You can't even touch me. How can you save a city, Robin, when you can't save your brother?"

My eyes widened as my face contorted into an expression of horror. "What…did you just say…?"

You could hear the smugness in his voice as Slade said, "Your brother. Danny. Have you forgotten? He'll be so disappointed to hear so."

"How do you know about him!?" I snarled, teeth clenched and hands tightly curled into fists. My glare was harsher than ever before and my hatred for Slade grew even larger.

"It wasn't exactly hard to find out, Dick." He said in his smug tone as we began to circle each other. "And then, it was only a matter of tracking him down, which wasn't that hard to do if you were actually looking." A growl ripped itself from my throat and he chuckled. "Seems as though I hit a nerve. Don't worry, Robin, Daniel is quite safe where he is."

"Where is he!?" I yelled, temper finally getting to me. "Where is my brother!?"

"Now, now, Robin." We rushed each other and he caught my fist in his hand. "Let's not be so…hasty." And he twisted.

Time Skip, Robin's PoV******************************************

Moaning, I struggled to get free of my bonds in the dark gloom of the Titan Tower medical bay. I could faintly hear the voices of my team outside the door, but ignored them in favor of trying to get free. Suddenly, the sound of footsteps slowly approached my bed and, straining my neck, saw a sight that made me stop, shocked and filled with horror.

As the figure approached me, I could plainly see that they were wearing the exact suit Slade had forced me in when I was his apprentice. But what was worse was the face… "God, no…" I whispered, the figure obviously hearing me.

"Hey, bro." Danny smirked at my horror, looking exactly as he did from missing persons file I was looking at mere days ago. "How've you been? I've been," He took a scalpel, crackling with electricity like a Taser, out of his tool belt and held it up. "Absolutely fabulous."

Short chapter, I know, sorry. The second part should be longer and I'll even throw in a little present for my readers. Try and guess it, I find it interesting to know what my readers want to happen.
