Chapter 13 Nana, Nana, Nana, Nana
Danny's PoV**********************************************
A figure in black detached itself from the shadows of the dank alleyway and my lips curled back into a sneer of distaste. "Batman."
Sammy's PoV*********************************************
I whimpered, ears flat against my head under the red hat Big Brother calls a 'beret.' Uncle Kevy and Uncle Cory had taken me out today to this 'arcade.' People are yelling and running, and there are weird sounds everywhere, and I can't find my Uncles anywhere. A whine built up in my throat as some mean people pushed me roughly into the wall when they ran past.
"Hey! Are you okay!?" Someone put their hand on her shoulder and I looked up to see that green kid from the park! "Did those bullies hurt you?" He turned to glare at the mean kids.
"No…" I said warily. Big Brother always says to be careful around other people unless he or my uncles or Tero are with me. "They are just being mean. I'm Sammy." I smiled in my head; my talking had gotten a lot better since Big Brother found me in the scary place.
The green boy grinned at me, flashing fangs that were very similar to mine. "Hi, Sammy! I'm Beast Boy of the Teen Titans! So," Beast Boy looked around wildly before whispered, "So you want to play some videogames with me?"
"Um…I don't really know how to play…" I looked around for Kevy and Cory. "I'm actually looking for my uncles. Could…you help me find them?"
Beast Boy's ear dropped in disappointment before perking up as he said, "Sure! Let's go!" And he dragged me off.

"What the hell are you doing here, old man!?" I snarled, dropping down into a fighting stance with my eyes glowing green in fury. "This isn't your city."
Batman narrowed his eyes at me as he walked forward. "I'm here to turn you into the Gotham Police for destroying that museum, Daniel 'Phantom' Fenton."
My neon green eyes narrowed in contempt. "Not happening."
Without warning, Batman threw several of his Batarangs at me. I dodged 3 of them, but the 4th managed to catch me in the chest, throwing me back towards the mouth of the alley. Batman picked me up by throat with a grip of steel, blocking my windpipes and blurring my focus. "You don't have a choice in the matter." He said in a dead monotone.
"What are you doing to him!?" With incredible effort, I looked to the right to see…
Tero, trembling in a mix of rage and fear.
Batman frowned at the seeming innocent girl. "He's a criminal in Gotham who came to Jump as a hideout. I need to take him back so he can face justice for his crimes."
"He's not a bad guy!" she argued. "He's my friend! Let him go; he can't breathe!"
Batman's frown deepened, but loosened his grip, which flung me into action. I phased out of his hand and launched a high side kick to his chin. Batman leaned back to dodge, so I used the momentum to get away in a series of back flips, throwing a knife at him. I landed in a crouch and watched Batman catch the knife with his glare even more severe.
"Have you really been so corrupted, Phantom, that you'd attempt murder to get what you want?"
My breath froze in my throat as I stared at the vigilante in shock. Did I just…try to kill him…? My trembling hands reached up and knotted themselves in my hair. Oh, God. I just tried to kill him. I did it automatically, as easily as one would breath.
I managed to snap out of it as I heard Tero's yells. "NO! Get away from him!" I took in the sight of Tero standing in front of me with her arms out stretched.
Batman stared harshly through his cowl. "Move."
"NO!" She yelled, fists clenched and glowing yellow from her forgotten, but never absent, power. The ground started to shake. "GO AWAY NOW!" With a scream of exertion, the ground beneath Batman crumbled away and rock swirled around Tero, encasing her in a stony tornado.
I wanted to do more, but then next chapter would only be about 500 words, so… BATMAN!
