"Danny, come on, it's not so bad," Lydia insisted, shaking Danny's arm a little.

"Lydia, it kinda is." They weren't so close now that Jackson was gone, but still, Danny didn't have anyone to talk about this, so he called Lydia.

"Hey, if he wasn't in London, I would probably still be with Jackson and he is a werewolf too." She didn't use Aiden as an example, because she could hardly call that a relationship—it was mostly physical. It definitely wasn't as deep like her relationship with Jackson or the one Danny and Ethan had.

"Yeah, I know they've told me. He didn't." There was angst in his voice. His best friend also kept him in the dark, but he'd deal with that later. He knew how to handle Jackson. "It's not the same."

"Why not? They are both werewolves, they've both killed people, and they kept that from us. It's the exact same situation, Danny."

"From what I've been told, Jackson didn't know he was killing people—Ethan did. Besides, you two weren't together when that happened. More importantly, when Jackson started dating you it was because he liked you. Ethan just wanted to get close to Scott."

"Honey, please, you're not that naive. Jackson asked me out because he was the captain and I the most popular girl. His reputation increased by dating me, so did mine. It was a win-win deal, but something real grew from that. Just like you two."

Danny rolled his eyes.

"Just so you know, Aiden is in a really bad mood, because Ethan is upset. Believe me when I say that guy can be really annoying when he's upset, so fix this."

"Lydia, I won't spend a second thinking about how he feels right now. I did that all the time when we were together. I'm the one hurt because of him and I'm too pissed off to care about how painful this is for him. In fact, I'm glad he's hurt, " Danny exploded.

"You're a vindictive bitch, aren't you?" Lydia said, an impressed smirk tugging at the corner of her lips.

"Now I'm the bad guy? If he'd tried to explain himself when I asked him to talk to me, I would have understood or at least tried to. He didn't call or try to contact me since that night. I even prepared myself for the long rant and insults I'd shout at him when he came apologizing, but he never did. He's so cold I'm amazed my dick didn't freeze in his ass."

Lydia almost split the soda she was drinking at the remark. "Did Scott and Stiles tell you everything. Ethan betrayed his pack mostly for you and he continued dating you even if that meant defying his brother and his pack, the people who was like a family to him."

Danny nodded, but his mind was made up. "One good action doesn't change the bad ones."

"It's still a good action," Lydia pointed out to him.

He sighed. He wouldn't win a logic battle with Lydia.

"Ok, let's skip to the part to where you cheer me up."

Lydia smiled widely. "I brought you a movie that is going to make you forget any and every problem."

"Porn?" he said hopefully .

Lydia gave him a droll look. "Sorry, sweetheart, we have different preferences. It's actually the Notebook!"

" "I'm not watching that," Danny stated.

"But… Ryan Gosling!" Ryan Gosling was the cure all to everything wrong with the world.

"He's not my type," Danny said, still protesting.

"We both know who your type is."

"Apparently murderers and cheaters. I hate to say this, but Jackson was right. My taste in men sucks."

"Obviously, something is really wrong with you if you don't like Ryan Gosling and admit that Jackson is right about anything."

Aiden and Ethan were twins, but that didn't mean they shared the same personality. They both had severely different coping methods when they were angry or moping over an ex. Aiden preferred to explode, which meant destroying a variety of things and taking his anger out on everything that couldn't protest. Ethan on the other hand spent his time reflecting on himself and letting his failures eat him up until there was nothing left.

Ethan's brother grabbed his brother by his arm. "Up," he commanded.

"I don't want to," Ethan yelled to him, shaking his arm free from his brother's hold.

"You're going to class, Ethan," Aiden said, not taking his brother's foolishness for another minute. It was driving him up the wall.

"There is no point. We are not really students, " Ethan remarked, dryly.

"Yes there is," Aiden said, spreading his arms wide and continued. "I love making out with Lydia in the Coach's office."

That wasn't the really most convincing reason to make Ethan go to school. "Fine, then please, don't let me stop you."

"It's just one guy. A human guy, might I add? He's replaceable. You are almost as hot as me, which means you can have whoever you want. Stop thinking about him and move on," Aiden tried a final time to get his brother to jump off the depressed train.

"Leave me alone," Ethan said, keeping his eyes lowered.

"If you come with me, I'll take you tonight to the gay club you choose and help you get laid," Aiden said. He wasn't too happy about that, but if it would help get his brother out of this state then, he would do it for him

That was too much coming from Aiden. "Ok," he gave in. Mostly, because he knew his brother wouldn't stop annoying him. Aiden didn't exactly fit in at the clubs Ethan liked to go to. He wasn't a good dancer and crowds sometimes made him uncomfortable. It was, however, a good place to pick a random guy. Right now, Ethan needed a little distraction. He had never needed Aiden to find a guy, but playing the 'twins' card always attracted more options.

At first he decided he would avoid Ethan as much as possible, but soon enough he realized it was Ethan who was avoiding him. It made everything easier and harder at the same time.

He was caught completely out off guard when Aiden, not Ethan, approached him in the locker room.

"He cares about you, you know?"

It was weird hearing that from Aiden. He didn't look particularly annoyed, but he definitely looked uncomfortable talking about his brother's feelings with Danny.

"I know," Danny said, simply. "It doesn't look like it and it doesn't change anything."

He shouldn't have this conversation with Aiden and he didn't want to sound vulnerable in front of him. Aiden wasn't Ethan.

"You don't know anything. You have no clue about what we've been through and what he's been through. To you, this is just another boyfriend and another relationship, but to Ethan this much more."

"Yeah, I don't know for what he's been through, because nobody tells me anything. He doesn't tell me anything."

"Would you, Danny," Aiden snapped at Danny, now looking Danny in the eye. "If you had been the one who had to be on the run for longer than you can remember? If you were the one who was abused by the people you were supposed to trust and give your love to? You don't have a clue what it's like and you never will until you experience it yourself. Would have the guts to destroy one inkling of happiness after years of suffering?"

That left Danny speechless . He wasn't even sure if he had the words to respond to Aiden's outburst.

"Just... talk to him, is all I ask," Aiden finished.

"I thought you didn't like me. Why are you doing this," D anny whispered, confused.

"Believe me, I don't like you, but for some reason I can't understand—you make him smile. That's good enough for me." Aiden flashed a smile at Danny, before leaving the locker room.
