Chapter 10: Skakki! Skakki's Here!
"Jack! Jack! You got to come and see this!" Thorgil shouted running through the crowd easily. The students are making way for her, after the last incident, (not slamming into Brad and Pattie, no, but the surprise face-painting) no student wants to block Thorgil's path.
"JACK!" Thorgil screeched. "WHERE ARE YOU?"
Thorgil searched rapidly around the student body sand ended up tripping over someone's foot and landed right on top of Jack.
"Oof!"
"Jack, you have no idea what I saw at the sea side! I was walking along the beach cursing a seagull for calling me stupid. I spot them! They're here! HERE!"
"Who's here?" Pattie asked.
"Yeah, who?" Patrick added.
Students are starting to gather around and most are whispering to each other.
"First, Thorgil, get off me. Second, let's go to somewhere more private," Jack whispered the last part. Jack shoved Thorgil of him and got up to brush the dust off him.
"Come on, let's go to Madame Elamore's office," Pattie suggested.
But on the way through the hallway Thorgil blurt it out.
"Skakki! Skakki here!" Thorgil burst out in joy.
"Skakki?" Jack's face lit up. "Did you see Rune too?"
"Yeah, they had finished raiding a city and are going back but Skakki thought of visiting us. We have to go! We are going to leave tomorrow!"
"Raiding?!" Patrick squeaked.
"Just GO!"
"Thorgil! What do you mean 'we'? I am not moving until you explain," Jack demanded.
"Fine. Then we are leaving without you."
"Okay! Fine! I'm coming."
Unsure what to do, Pattie and Patrick look back and forth from Jack to Thorgil, Thorgil to Jack.
"THORGIL!" A deep voice boomed through the hallway. Shrieking were heard from the female apprentices.
Suddenly Brad ran over screaming, "RUN FOR YOUR LIFES! THE BERSERKERS ARE TAKING OVER THE SCHOOL! IT'S THE END! I JUST KNOW IT!"
I exchange a glance with Thorgil.
"Skakki! Over here!" Thorgil yelled over the noise.
