Chapter Six:

Italics mean it is elvish

(These are translations for the elvish)

Anna's POV

We walked down toward the gates of Rivendell, and were suddenly noticed be a tall blond elf who had a sword at his side. "Is that Glorfindel!?" I asked Elladan.

"Yes it is." Elladan replied as the blond elf ran toward them, "How did you know?"

"Balrog Slayer, who wouldn't know him." I said.

Elladan glanced at me but I did not pay much attention as I then saw who else was with Glorfindel. Legolas! And Erestor! Why were they all here? Was it some sort of gathering outside of Rivendell? Just then, Glorfindel reached them and started to fuss over the twins.

"What happened to you guys?" he yelled, "Your father is worried sick about you two!"

Elladan hugged Glorfindel and apologized profusely to him repeatedly for scaring him and his father.

"What happened to Elrohir?" Glorfindel asked, looking down at the young elf in Elladan's arms.

"He had a bad wound on his leg and I need to get him back to Ada/dad." Elladan explained, as he set Elrohir down.

Just then I spoke up, "Lord Glorfindel?"

Glorfindel turned to me and said, "Yes?"

"Has anybody else besides me come in the last few days?"

"You mean a human?" Glorfindel asked as he looked over at me.

"Yes."

"Well then someone has, I believe she was about your age."

"Thank you for telling me." I said, and walked over to the two boys standing off to the side.

As I walked over to the boys, I thought about what I was going to say to them, we would have to talk to Lord Elrond sooner or later. I was worried about what we would say about being from Earth, I would not mind telling Lord Elrond but did not want our story to change every single time we told it. Except to Lord Elrond of course, because we would tell him a different version then we told every one else.

Someone putting their hands on my shoulders pulled me out of my musings. I jumped, startled and stopped short.

"What the..." I said not noticing who it was.

"Calm down Anna," Nathan said pulling back "It's just me."

"Gosh Nathan do not startle me like that." I said with a startled look in my eyes. How had he managed to sneak up on me like that?

Nathan looked at me, skeptical. I understood why, I tried to never show when I was startled or frightened or in pain. That fact that I jumped when he grabbed me was unusual.

"Anyway, "I said, "When we get to Rivendell we will probably be called in to see Lord Elrond. We need to figure out what to say to him."

"What do you mean?" Michael asked.

"What do you think she means? We can not tell just anybody where we come from." Nathan said.

"He is right." I said, "I will most likely tell Lord Elrond and who ever he thinks necessary to tell."

We were shown to what I assumed to be Lord Elrond's office, and we bowed to the elven Lord.

"Elen sila lumenn omentilmo. (A star shall shine on the hour of our meeting.)" I said straightening up.

Elrond hesitated for a minute then replied, "Lle quena i'lambe tel' Eldalie? (Do you speak Elvish?)"

"Some hir nin. (My Lord)" I said, "I am able to speak only a little of the Language though I understand much of it."

"Ron rangwa amin? (Do they understand me)?" He asked motioning toward my companions.

"They understand it none of it my Lord."

Elrond smiled at the confused looks of my companions, then turned to me, "Mani naa essa en lle? (What is you name?)"

" Eruanna, hir nin. (Anna, my Lord)"

"Manke naa llie tuulo'? (Where are you all from?)"

"That is not for all to hear, "I said, "We will speak of that with only my friends and your advisors present."

"My sons and Legolas? It is only fair as they are the ones who found you."

"They may listen."

After a couple more minutes of talking with Elrond, time to meet, who would show us to rooms, where things were, ect. We walked out of his office and were escorted to the dining hall by Elladan, Elrohir and Legolas. I was talking to Bianca nonstop.

"Your lucky that you got found by Legolas!" I whispered, "I wish I had."

"But you got found by the twins," Bianca countered, "you are always talking about how they aren't in the movies and how you have always wanted to meet them. Which one would you pick?"

"I don't know, all of them. They could all find both of us."

Just then we entered the dining hall and were seated with Elrond, the twins, Legolas, Glorfindel and Erestor. Then a young man about the age of nineteen walked in and sat down next to me.

"Anna, this is my son Estel." Elrond said, looking over at the man with a smile.

"Hello Estel," I said shaking his hand. Then I introduced Nathan Michael and Bianca.

"I am pleased to meet all of you." Estel said nodding his head to each of them in turn.

Elrohir's POV

"That was one of the most interesting trips to the dining hall ever, wouldn't you agree Elladan?"

"Certainly Elrohir. Imagine the girls choosing who finds them."

"That was interesting, I could hardly keep from laughing."

"What are you two talking about?" Estel asked leaning over from the other side of the table.

"Oh nothing Estel, just the hilarious conversation that those two girls, Anna and Bianca, were having. It was really funny."

"What were they talking about?" Estel asked.

"Oh all sorts of things. But Anna was... I do not know jealous that Legolas found Bianca, but she wanted to be found by us to. It was confusing."

"I believe Elrohir," said Elladan "That she said, 'Your lucky that you got found by Legolas! I wish I had.' Then the other girl said, 'But you got found by the twins, you are always talking about how they are not in the movies and how you have always wanted to meet them. Which one would you pick?' Anna said she would pick all of us."

"Oh, " Estel said like it was the most boring thing in Middle Earth. " Ada sent me to tell you that it is time for the meeting."
