Chapter 12
Iggy's POV
Angel was the first one to unfreeze, but Gazzy was the first one to say something, while Max was the last to unfreeze, well her and Fang.
"Awesome!" Said Gazzy
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Max said
"Yes very sure."
"Well then I guess we can't talk you out of it, so then all we can do is back you up."
"Thank you." I said and then Nudge came up to me and hugged me, while saying,
"I am going to miss this."
"Why are you going to miss this, I will still be here."
"Yeah but you won't be you, you'll be a blood drinking vampire, not the bomb loving Iggy we all know. I mean you will, probably not even be able to be around us for a long time…" Nudge said starting to cry
I turned to Rosa and said, "Is this true?"
"I am not going to lie; becoming a vampire is not pleasant, or painless. The transformation alone is the single most painful memory I have, and yes for your first year or so it would be best to stay away from humans. But since I have a physical shield, I can probably just put it around you, and you will be able to be around the flock without hurting them. However, you will be much stronger than them and so you will still need to be careful when hugging them, or touching them in any way." She said sounding a little like Nudge.
"Ok, when can we do the transformation?"
"It is up to you, but it will have to be during a break from school."
"Ok, I am not sure what breaks if any are coming up, but we can check when we go to school, tomorrow."
"Ok, you do that, and in the mean time I will try to find a way to make the transformation as painless as I can."
Rosa's POV
After the flock had gone to school, I went to ask Carlisle if there was a way to make the transformation, if not completely painless, then to have it not be so painful, and he said,
"Well when Bella was changed she had morphine in her system, and she said that it helped to some degree, but not much."
"Ok, thanks. I will try that, I just want to use anything that will help Iggy."
"I know" Carlisle said as he patted my shoulder on his way out the room, and going into his office. I stayed where he left me, waiting for him to come back with whatever he was getting. Carlisle came back later with a syringe full of some medicine, which he handed to me saying,
"This is morphine, and it is already in the right amount, so all we will need to do is give it to Iggy." Carlisle said
"We, so are you going to help me?" I said
"Yes, at least to give Iggy the morphine."
"Ok"
"You didn't really think I would let anyone other than a doctor give medicine to someone, did you?"
"No, not at all."
After I had talked to Carlisle, I went to my secret place to see if I could possibly use it for the transformation. When I got there David was there, and he said,
"Hey, you need some help?" David said
"Sure, but why are you here?" I said
"I figured you would want to use our place to change Iggy."
"Oh"
"Yep, so what do we need to do to get this place ready?"
"We need to move everything that would be at risk of being destroyed, and we should probably put a mattress in here, since that would be bigger than the couch."
"Ok, you move everything where you want it, and I will go get a mattress."
"Alright, but make sure the wolves are not watching."
"Will do."
As soon as David left I got to work moving everything, which was not much, around. By the time that David came back with the mattress, I was done and had place just for the mattress.
"I'm back, where do you want the mattress?" David said
"Over here, away from everything else, as well as the cave entrance." I answered
David walked over to me, and dropped the mattress down, and then I slid it over to the cave wall. Once the mattress was in place I looked around the cave once last time making sure everything was where it needed to be, then said,
"Let's go."
"Right behind you." David said
Once we got to the top of the cliff, we ran back to the house, to see if the flock was back since it was almost four o'clock. When we got into the house Max and the flock we're not there, but it was not long before they did show up. As soon as Iggy heard me walk toward him and the flock, he started to ask questions. So I told him and the rest of the flock to go wait in the dining room, while I got them snacks, then I would answer all their questions. While the flock was heading toward the dining room, I quickly went into the kitchen and started to make them all peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and I got each of them a glass of milk to drink. I then carried the sandwiches and the drinks into the dining room, and then everyone got a sandwich and a cup of milk. Once everyone had eaten Iggy started up with the questions again, so when he stopped asking them, I answered each one. After Iggy was satisfied I asked a question of my own,
"Did you guys find out when your next break is?"
"Yes" Angel said
"And, what is the next break?"
"The next break is Thanksgiving." Max answered
"Thank you. Ok so Iggy I would rather you not be in pain on Thanksgiving…"
"But you said you would change me on the next break." Iggy interrupted
"Yes I did, now let me finish. I would also like for you to have one last true Thanksgiving with you family, so we will have Thanksgiving the weekend before, and the week of Thanksgiving I will change you."
"Oh ok, cool."
*Time Skip* (Weekend before Thanksgiving)
"Where is everyone else?" Gazzy asked
"Everyone else is out hunting, so it is just us." I said
"Oh"
"Alright it is time to go downstairs and eat, now come on."
"Yeah" Gazzy said as he ran down the stairs and into the dining room where the rest of the flock was supposed to be.
I made it to the dining room seconds after Gazzy, and then once everyone was seated, and grace was said the flock dug into the food.
*Time Skip* (Before Iggy's Transformation)
"Hey Rosa" Alice said
"What is it Alice, I was about to take Iggy to a place I have set up for his transformation."
"I know, but I have something you should know."
"And what would that be?"
"You, the flock, your sister, and David disappeared completely, and that means that the wolves are about to become involved."
"By the flock you mean the whole flock, right?"
"Yeah, well minus Iggy, I can still see him."
"Ok, so we know that it must be after I bite him, and he is still transforming."
"I guess"
"Ok, so the wolves won't be involved until then."
"Great now Iggy disappeared too, what are you planning?"
"I plan to go talk to the dogs, and I guess the flock is going with me, if you saw them disappear."
"Well then I am going too."
"You can't, only the flock, me, David, and my sister can make it over there, since we are part wolf."
"Fine I will go as far as the line."
"Ugh, ok."
So Alice, Edward, David, and my sister piled into Emmett's jeep and drove to the border while the flock and I flew. The flock and I beat the others to the border, but with Alice driving, we were not there for very long, before we saw the jeep come around the corner. Once Alice had pulled over to the side of the road, and they had gotten out, did I, David, and my sister went into the woods to morph into wolves. When we came back out our clothes were tied to our legs, and we were on the other side of the border. That was when Edward read my mind and translated for me.
"Rosa wants you guys to go over to her." Edward said to the flock
"Oh, ok. Thanks Edward."
"Yeah"
Thanks Edward, and we will be back soon.
"But what if they attack you all for being over there, I mean they may consider you two Cullen's now."
If they attack, then we will leave completely, and you all won't have to worry about any back lash, I will make sure of that.
"You know that won't work."
It has too, otherwise someone may end up getting hurt, wolf or not.
"You know everyone else won't let you leave"
You guys don't really have the ability to make me stay.
"True, but what about those whitecoats, they could come back, and it would be far better if you had us there to help you."
Yeah I guess, but for now I need to focus on fixing this little issue, and I promise that I will come back.
"Alright, well then I guess all I can say is good luck."
Thanks again Edward. Alright guys lets go. I thought with a howl, as I jumped forward with my sister and David right behind me, and the flock jumping into the air seeing us running away from the border.
The run or fly to the Billy Black's house is not long, and soon I am standing in my human form with the flock behind me, my sister in her wolf form on my right, and David in his wolf form on my left. Also Billy is in front of me, and Jacob is off somewhere in the woods getting the rest of the pack to come.
"So, why are you here again, Rosa Cullen?"
"I am not a Cullen, not technically, and you should know."
"Well I don't."
"Then this is not between you and me, and you should leave."
"I will as soon as my son gets back, Cold One."
Right then Jacob and Sam, both in human form came through the trees, with the rest of their pack behind them, in wolf form.
"Why the army, Sam?"
"You have your army I have mine."
"Actually I don't think that the flock could handle twenty horse size wolves that stand taller than them on the hind legs."
"Hey, we could too take them!" Max yelled
"I am sure you could, but I am sure that even you have your limits. Anyways, so if you think about it I only have myself, my sister, and David. Not a very big army if you ask me."
"Whatever, why are you here on Quileute territory."
"I am here, to put an end to any misunderstandings between you, the Cullens, and my family."
"Oh and what might those be?"
"Well one is that you guys think I am a Cullen and I am not, I just leave with them, so that the flock can go to school here, and I can hunt without bringing attention to myself or my family."
"Ok, but if you live with the Cullen's then you are a Cullen."
"Not really, and the next misunderstanding is this. Since I am not a Cullen, I can bite anyone, so long as they want it."
"That is where we must disagree; you cannot bite anyone, so long as we consider you a Cullen."
"Ok, so if you don't think I am a Cullen then I can bite whoever I want."
"Yep, and it also means that we can kill you, and not affect the treaty one bit."
"Actually you would still affect the treaty, because the Cullens would probably still fight you, and besides I knew that we would disagree on this fact, and that is why I brought the flock."
"Uh, what do a bunch of kids have to do with this?"
"Well you see, in this bunch of kids as you put it, there is a blind person who wants to be able to see, but hates doctors to much. This makes sense if you know what they put him, and these others through."
"Oh, and what would that be?"
"Max, you want to show them?"
"Sure" Max answered, and with that she jumped into the air, and threw open her wings, and then proceeded to fly toward and around the group of wolves.
"Wow, those doctors did this to all of them." Jacob said once Max had landed again.
"Yes they were all given wings against their will, and they also took Iggy's eyesight. Now all he is asking is that he be allowed to see again, that isn't much, beside it is his life that he finally has some control over."
"Guys let's talk." Sam said, and all the wolves went back into the woods, and he and Jacob morphed into wolves.
They were gone for about an hour, then Jacob came back, with a now in wolf form Sam, and said,
"You may transform Iggy, if it is truly what he wants, but a wolf must be there and that wolf must be me or Sam." Jacob said, and wolf Sam nodded his head
"Ok, well then one of you need to come back with us now, because we are changing Iggy tonight."
"Fine, then I will go." Jacob said morphing into wolf form.
Once I told the flock, and they were all in the air, did I morph, and lead the way back to the border.
