Chapter 9: Returning to the Room
Zero made his way silently back to the room he was supposed to be in. But, he was too late. As he reached the room he saw Kaname standing in the entrance looking around in concern.
Why is this castle so large? It takes an age to make it from Rido's chambers to Kaname's…and now that I'm late I'm going to have to make up an excuse...
Zero slowly shuffled up to Kaname and made an effort to look a little dazed, he was supposed to be feeling unwell after all.
"Kaname-sama?" He asked, approaching the brunette and holding his sleeve.
Kaname then quickly wrapped him in a suffocating embrace.
"Thank goodness you're alright. I got worried sick when I didn't see you in there! Where on earth have you been?" He asked, stepping back and quickly checking Zero over to make sure he hadn't come to any harm.
"I was going to the toilet when I got a little lost." He lied. "I may have a good memory but this house is so large. I'm sorry to have worried you…oh!" Zero pretended to be feeling faint and collapsed into Kaname's reliable arms.
"Zero!" Kaname exclaimed in worry as he did so.
"I'm so sorry…I just feel a little dizzy at the moment…" Zero explained, enjoying the warmth of Kaname's body.
"You need to rest." Kaname insisted.
He then put one arm under Zero's knees and lifted the silver-hair into a bridal carry. Zero couldn't prevent a blush from forming in his cheeks.
I've never been carried like this before in my life…It's so embarrassing. I mean, it's sweet that he's doing this for me, but still kind of embarrassing.
Yet, as he was supposed to be ill, he played along. He allowed Kaname to carry him over to his futon. However, Kaname did not miss the rosy tinge of Zero's cheeks.
"It looks like you have a fever…" He said with concern.
"I-I don't have a fever." Zero found himself trying to assure Kaname, who was looking so caringly down at him.
"Then why are your cheeks such a beautiful blossom pink?" Kaname countered.
"Because you carried me…" Zero mumbled.
His answer made Kaname smile.
To be honest, Zero didn't mind admitting this. After having such a long day and after discovering the letter, he felt like indulging himself in Kaname's company a little. And, considering that seducing Kaname was part of his task, shouldn't saying things like that be a good thing for the sake of his mission as well. Zero used these reasons to justify his close contact with Kaname tonight.
"If just carrying makes you blush it would be really entertaining to see what other reactions you will show me if I do more…" Kaname purred, placing his lips to Zero's.
Zero vaguely remembered that he was supposed to be sick. So, he did try to give Kaname a little warning(yet not too much): "Won't you catch my illness?"
"Don't mind if I do…Hopefully doc will quarantine us together…" Kaname replied, eager for more kisses, having been thinking about, yet abstaining, from touching Zero all day.
He then loosened his kimono and attempted to get into the futon with Zero.
"I won't take your flower tonight. I just want you close." He explained, not wanting Zero to think he was just after the silver-hair's body.
Eager to reciprocate the contact, Zero moved over as much as possible, giving Kaname room. Kaname wriggled in and soon found his way over to Zero, wrapping his arms around Zero's waist and pulling him closer.
This time Zero initiated the kiss, which pleased Kaname. It was long and it was hot and they both enjoyed it very much. Yet, in the small space of the futon, it was getting a little too hot for their comfort. Kaname momentarily unwrapped his arms from Zero's waist so that he could shimmy his top-half out from his kimono, leaving his bare chest exposed.
"Are you getting hot too, or is it just me?" Kaname asked between their enthusiastic kisses.
"I'm getting hot too." Zero confirmed.
If I really was sick I would say that if I didn't have a fever before I certainly do now…
Kaname smiled and loosened Zero's kimono for him, exposing Zero's chest. Then, Kaname abruptly stopped kissing.
"We should…get some sleep now…" Kaname panted.
"Kaname…" Zero nearly moaned, his body and lips beginning to ache for more.
"If we don't stop now then I don't think that I will be able to stop." Kaname explained, looking conflicted.
"But you don't have to stop…" Zero encouraged him, placing his lips to Kaname's once more.
You don't have to stop, because I want this too…
After I find the information about Haruka's plan and send it to Yagari, they're going to force me to kill you. I don't want to kill you…
But, if I have to, then I at least want to do this with you, my love…
"Yes I do have to stop." Kaname replied, pulling away from Zero's lips which he did so desperately desire, remaining oblivious and with no idea of the plans for his assassination. "I like you a lot so I really don't want to rush things. Just being in the same futon is quite bold, and quite thrilling. It is more than enough for now, Zero."
Kaname cuddled up to Zero, placing a kiss on the silver-hair's cheek before shutting his eyes peacefully, ready for sleep.
If only you knew how little time you have left… If only I never have to kill you…
