"You are focusing very intently on those socks my dear, is there something very special about them that makes them more interesting than looking at me?"

Fiona looked up at hook making sure that she didn't look him in the eye.

"As I said you look fine, you will fit in with this time period. Now let's get to the till and get back to base I could do with a drink."

"Now you're talking my language my dear, I will be just a minute to get changed."

After another 30 minutes Fiona finally got Hook out of the store due to him being interested in everything as it was all new. They were finally on their way to the base.

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

"Seriously James how many times do I have to tell you not to push my cars buttons you're going to damage something if you keep playing around and I don't want to have to pay for repairs just because you're curious to how things work."

"My dear, you have placed me in an advanced piece of technology knowing my nature to be curious of how things work and what they do."

"Curiosity killed the cat."

"Yes but satisfaction brought it back." Hook smirked.

"Trust you to have an answer to that." Fiona sighed. "Please just refrain from playing around and sit still for the next few minutes, we are almost at the base and I would like to have a story sorted in my head to who you are and why you are coming to visit me."

"You could tell them the truth?"

"What? That you're Captain Hook and you have been strangely removed from Never land where you fight tooth and nail with a little boy who isn't even half your age?"

"Not quite what I had in mind my dear. I was thinking more along the lines of that I am courting you and that I plan on making you mine."

"I'm not going out with you James."

"Who said anything about going out?"

"It's a figure of speech to indicate that people are boyfriend and girlfriend." Fiona said while rolling her eyes.

"I think we should be more than just friends."

"Again just another figure of speech for people who are ...erm...courting?" Is that how you put it?" Anyway we are not doing any of the afore mentioned ideas so we will just have to come up with something else."

"You may not want or like it at the moment my dear but I am most definitely courting you."

"Look Hook just shut up and let me do the talking, we are almost at the base and I would like to go into my home and have a bath and a brew before we go to bed."

"Is that an invitation Love?" Hook winked. "You know all you need to do is ask and I will join you anytime you like."

"Look James I'm warning you. I'm really not in the mood for your rubbish at the moment. It's been a long few days and I just want to get home and try and figure a way out of this mess."

While James was smirking about the comments he had just made they arrived at the check point for the base which Fiona lived in.

"Hello Ma'am can I see some Identification please?"

"Hey Tom, here you go."

"Who is your guest?"

"Oh this is James Hook, he's and old friend who's come to stay with me for a few days while he waits for a new prosthetic hand to be made up for him. He lost it when a road side bomb went off."

"He will need to step out of the car for a minute or two so that we can check him."

"James, please step out of the car for a second these men just need to check you for any concealed weapons etc. Please just do as they say" Fiona whispered the last part to Hook. They had hidden Hooks, hook in a locker at the supermarket so they didn't need to worry about awkward questions being asked.

"Ok Ma'am you and your guest are free to go."

"Thanks Tom I'll catch up with you in the mess hall at some point in the near future. Have a good day."

"Who was that?" James asked when they set off in the car again. His voice was tinged a bit with jealousy.

"Oh that's just Tom. He's a good mate."

"Mate? Are you and he courting?"

"Mate as in friend and no we aren't courting."

"Good, for a second there I thought I had competition."

"James, there is no competition. As I've told you before we aren't courting."

"And as I've told you before I am courting you my dear."

"Grrr fine just don't expect any reciprocation."

"Wouldn't dream of it sweetheart."

"Fine now get out we are here."
