A/N: My apologies for the last chapter. It was really OOC. I hope that this one is better.
Review and tell me what you think.
It was the next morning that Solarius was found curled up in the bed next to Remus, by a cheery James.
It had not taken very long for Remus to regain consciousness after the attack, but the extent of his injuries meant that he would have to stay in the hospital wing a while longer for them to properly heal. He had woken up to find his girlfriend angry and distraught over what had happened. Surprisingly blaming herself for his injuries. Something that he could not understand. As in his mind it had always been the wolf that was to blame, a dark side of himself, one that was of constant shame.
He had tried to reason with her, telling her that she should not blame herself for what had happened. Yet, she stood her ground, saying that if she had not goaded her brother the way that she had it would never have happened. It was only hours later after some teasing from James about the two of them being masochistic lovers that Solarius had finally calmed down. Although deep down she still held contempt for her brother not having believed that he could have done this to him. How could her parents even begin to think that she would turn on her friends, especially now? Did they know what had happened? Was it all planned? She had had so many questions in her head. Questions and worries that were still present. One thing was for sure, now more than ever was she determined to fight them, to not give in to their demands. She had originally told Remus that she could not ignore them, but if this is how they wanted to play, then they would get it. No matter what happened she would never betray her friends.
"Good morning love birds!" chirped James as he came up towards the bed.
"James, mate it is far too early." Remus groggily commented, sure they had been awake for quite some time. However, being awake and making peace with that it was morning were two very different things.
"What has you in such a good mood?" Sol asked as she tried to ignore him and burrow herself closer to Remus.
"Hermione and Sirius." Was the simple reply.
"What about them?" both Remus and Sol asked together.
"Well a little birdie told me that they are going on a date, come next trip to Hogsmead." Came the reply in a distinctive sing song voice. It was a comment that certainly got both of them to wake up fully.
"WHAT?! When did that happen?" Sol asked as she sat straight up in bed. Unbeknownst to her Remus had a happy and content smile at hearing the news.
"Last night. Just think Sirius is going to date the god daughter of Professor McGonagall, he will be under constant detention."
"But I thought that Sirius did not like her?"
"Oh on the contrary dear, he has a serious case of the hots for her." Remus replied, abruptly stopping to stroke Sol's back as she spun around to face him.
"How do you know?"
"It has been obvious." James cut in for his friend.
"But he has been so mean to her, with the teasing."
"Exactly, remember how he was with you and Lily at the beginning? And he loves you both know," Remus began, before pausing in contemplation "although not so sure about your family."
"Oh don't even get me started on them." She spat with malice "So if a guy is mean to you then he likes you."
"Yup."
"But you were not mean you have always been sweet and kind."
"Yeah, but that is because our dear Mooney is too kind for his own good."
"Boys!" Sol breathed out in an exasperated sigh, before jumping up from the bed. "I better go and see how she is doing. If what you say is true then there is no knowing what Sirius might do." This was a comment that caused both guys to burst into laughter.
"Good idea, then perhaps I can teach Remus here how to be a real man." James hooted.
"If being a real man equals being a prat, then don't you dare." She said as she gave Remus a quick peck before leaving the hospital wing.
"Aw but come on I am irresistible." Came the reply which was quickly silenced by a flying pillow making solid contact with his face.
"Does that answer your question?".
O -
It did not take long before Saturday morning arrived. The three girls were all sitting in the dorm getting ready. Or rather Hermione was getting ready while the other two were bombarding her with questions.
"So you are really going to go out with Sirius Black." Lily asked. Both girls were sceptical. Sirius Black was known as a player, not exactly as boyfriend material. So despite how much they cared for him. Neither one trusted him not to hurt Hermione.
"Yup."
"Did he black mail you, was it a dare?" Sol asked convinced that this may have been a prank.
"No I chose to go out with him."
"But…"
"Look I like him and I think he is being genuine. Now if you two do not mind I have a date I have to go on." She said as she grabbed her bag and headed away from her lovely, although somewhat busybody friends, and down to the common room where she would meet with Sirius.
There he was, sitting on one of the couches by the fire, dressed in all black, he had gotten up as soon as he had heard some noise from the stairway. It was only when their eyes met that the two realized the strong attraction that they had for each other.
Sirius walked over to the stairway, with a gentle smile on his face, he could not believe that after these last few month, he had finally been able to ask her out. Hermione herself was having similar thoughts. Of course she had always known that Sirius was handsome, even in the future he had been attractive. Yet, it was only know that she really saw him in the morning light, and dressed in black that he truly stole her breath away.
She had originally been sceptical about this date, but now being here in front of him those doubts faded away. This was something that just felt right. Unbeknownst to her he had been thinking very similar thoughts as he offered her his arm, which she gladly took, and together they headed out to the Hogmsade, to get to know each other under a whole new light.
A/N: Next chapter will be the date.
