Chapter 34
Harry's Prov
We were ready, Severus went ahead while Greg stayed with us, I sat mounted hidden behind trees and shrubs awaiting the signal. The gates would rise upon the signal and we would be free to liberate the city from Voldemort and his people.
Severus's Prov
The streets were dark but I moved swiftly through them, they were familiar, I grew up knowing them. Voldemort's patrols were everywhere, no matter how stealthy an army tries to be people always see it coming and Voldemort was ready, we were just lucky enough to know insiders, one step ahead. The people loved Draconis and they would be damned to see him married off to a creature. Finally reaching the safe house, I had ducked more guards them I could ever remember, three knocks, two, than four and the door opened to a lamp lit room with fifteen of my closest guards inside, "its time."
We dispersed into the night, some to warn the town, some the other guards but six of my closest came with me, to open the gates. Swords glinting in the moon light, "for Draconis!" and we struck first blood, it begins.

The cold was seeping in when we finally spotted it, the waving torch. We rode hard for the gate as it slowly swung open, Severus and his knights had drawn blood now we finish it and save the princess.
The pounding hooves rang in my ears as we crashed forward and spilled onto the streets where the front lines of Voldemort's army greeted us. Severus caught the corner of my eye, the man looked as fierce as I felt swinging upon an empty horse that a rider had been unseated from moments ago by arrows.
"Take the castle!" Father shouted into the roar of bloodied steel and calls of man and beast.
I screamed outrage, my sword refusing to take prisoners, these people had my Angel and by the goddess herself I will have him returned to me!
I slashed into the crowed, relentlessly pushing forward when the horse I had been ridding fell, punctured between its armour. I took the man's life jumping off to face my foe on foot. I was quick on my feet taking life after life. Hours passed in moments and soon we had control over the lower city, the people had risen up with us and their blood stained the ground. Father knew the urgency and we swiftly regrouped, I was given another horse and we marched through the stained streets to the courts where the remaining army awaited protecting the castle.

I had tossed off the white robes and was wearing simple breeches and a shirt, moving along the dimly lit halls, I had to reach the hallway passed the other where the servant's staircase was. I was startled and nearly bolted when the alarm bells sounded throwing myself into an alcove and ducking down I heard many footsteps, had they discovered I was missing already? Was Lunte, Millicent, and Pansy alright?"
Guards hurried by rushing one way and servants hurried in the opposite, Millicent was among them, she was safe as her eyes darted around looking. Pressing myself further back she and the others passed by quickly and I bolted to the end and rounded the corner, maybe if I hurried like all the servants and kept my head down no one would notice me. I jumped as a single guard rounded the corner; my hand went for the poker.
"Hurry little one, there is an attack," he spoke out of breath; he was one of my father's guards but did not recognize me, the veil how could I be so stupid. Not many knew my true face.
Heeding his warning I kept my head down and raced to the servant's quarters. My Harry had come for me; I had run out of time. Voldemort would now know I was gone, he would have gone for me. There were so many people huddled about, if someone were to enter it would be slaughter.
Millicent came forward upon seeing me, wrapping a grey cloak around my shoulders I gave her a nod as thanks grasping her hand we weaved though the crowed where servants cried, the back exit was sealed, men were trying to break it down but had no luck. It was magic keeping us sealed. Voldemort had discovered I was missing.
