Link, Hunter of Monsters II: A Whole Other Beast
Up the Ladder and Down to MogaAlright, it's been a while but I've finally gotten back to this one, as usual if I don't it then it's someone else, and it's a whole lot of someone else's, but plot wise it's mine…totally non-canon.
I went all around this place, then saw a ladder going up, I was on a ledge, so when I jumped I didn't know about some magical red substance around the ladder until it was too late, I ran from the ladder as soon as I realized the phantom guardians were after me, and grabbed a tear, "See, that's what I meant, good thing you have terrific reflexes." "If I didn't have terrific reflexes I wouldn't be here, there must be a way—ah! There's a rope over there, I can swing across and land over the water, but how do I get the?" Zelda pointed to some stairs behind her and I went up them, they took me around and there was the rope, there was a tear high up the rope so I climbed and got it, then lowered myself and swung far and high, catching the ladder as I did, though I instantly reached up and grabbed the flooring as the ladder began to give way, it fell in the water and the phantoms awoke. Yay, lucky, lucky, I'm so lucky—hey, where's Navi?
If it's not me it's something I did, that is how I've always seen it ever since I was little and got myself into trouble, not much has changed, but this is ridiculous, the ladder fell into the waking water and now the phantoms are after me, that's unthinkable, but that's what happened, so now I'm running across a bridge, then there's a door, a tear before it, but a phantom is floating through the door which I must reach in order to obtain the tear that will make those phantoms stop, who will be faster, me, or the guardian? Fortunately, I didn't run, I stared at it and let it come to me in a straight line, then a threw myself in a small curve around the phantom's slow flight to me, and since these things basically run in a straight line I can let them move in and open another path, though I would only think that my last move was only barely decent, given the fact that I was trained for this. Nabooru expects much out of me, I hope Midna doesn't put me through some other trial, defeat every boss I've ever battled. Oh, wait, I'm going to do that anyways. You won't hear that I didn't try, oh, I will try, if not accomplish, the task of defeating once more all of my enemies.
The end of the path was a large red tear, I see it and am at once relieved that the end is near, I reach out and when I make contact a small voice says, "No!" too late, the entire structure starts crumbling, I look around for anything, anything at all that will help me to salvage this situation, then I see a jar over on the left side of the round room. I should tell you that there are two pillars on all compass sides of the room, but there's no sun and I have no map, I pretty much have no idea if the pillars are even in line with the four compass directions, all that matters is that the jar is there, and it is the single object in my mind, I mean, there's this painting above it, very nice too, a sunset view of the castle, very well drawn, and then there's the pillars themselves, very fine, whoever carved these had great skill, and whoever had them made had lots of money, but the only thing I notice is the jar as I run towards it, like the Duramboros in my dream. I know all the other monsters are there, but I single that one out, and the eyes are yellow. I single that monster out, I single this one object out, I know the other monsters are with the Duramboros, and this entire room could be filled with every possible ornament, I could be tripping over debris that no one has cleaned up, I would only see the jar, it is peach colored and has a red squiggly band across its widest point. Every detail of the jar is made known to me, I can even guess how heavy it may be, how large it must be—yes, I know I said how heavy, I imagine myself lifting a bag of flour, though the jar may be quiet heavy, so I decide to kick it when I reach it, of course, it may be thin and light, so when I kick I go through the shattered fragments, but I don't care, I jump forward and kick. And go right through the shattered glass, feel silence as it creeps in around me, and the nothingness I fall into. This day—no, I have said it once, I won't say it again! Okay, yes, fine, this day keeps getting better and better, happy now? You made me say it—wow, this day may actually be getting a little bit better, there's a blue something another right there, I jump forward with a newfound realization, if it's red, it's evil, if it's blue, it good. In this place, anyways, but it's no matter of personal preference, but necessity, the waking water is red, and someone put a drop of it there in the shape of a tear, but the tears I need are blue, light blue. I jump forward and feel the weight of a person, maybe the weight of a Gerudo warrior, all of which are female, so that doesn't make me question the red hair in my face, like I'm being tackled in a cactus toss. You know, you get the cactus and run, then both teams jump you and forget allegiances because I'm a man so their superior, then they give a victory cry as though they just worked as a team to get the enemy back in his place, and they celebrate, that's a cactus toss. Once I actually made it to the end, I yelled touch down, they stop near me, look back and forth, then, with this power that only women have where they share the same thoughts, they agree jump me anyways. Rululonia thought for sure they'd let me alone, the next one was scheduled exactly seventy-two hours from this next point, where I get up and ask who this woman is, "Who are you?!" we both demand, me not remembering that almost all of these women don't know about Ganondorf, and so I'm an enemy to them, and this one not knowing what I look like—wait, I wear green, and Ganondorf has practically every Gerudo worth her weight in sand—that means all—on my tail. Wait—I have a tail again! I failed, I messed up, I'm yelling that as I get caught up with the realization that she can't understand a word I'm saying, and that I leapt through the jar and scratched my snout! At the same moment I touched the red tear the phantoms awoke, but did I fall asleep? Did I wake up; and if so, then from what, this is probably one of Nabooru's girls, I'm on a ship, and that was a dream I'll have to repeat, "I asked who you are, now answer me." I find my feet and realize that this Gerudo in particular has a helmet, it looks dull like stone, so it probably is, "Yeah, it's a mask, now live with it." And I thought only Sheikah could read my thoughts, "I can take them right out of your head, now, if you don't tell me who you are I'm turning you over to Ganondorf." Yeah, sure, look for the giant, black grape with scales that is said to be the great one's prison, "So you're Link then, with that fur, it was hard to tell, you're a very bright gold, and what a red pair of eyes you have, like a Sheikah who attained his peak of power." Great, now, if we're done complimenting my eyes and fur, we're in a rush, "Oh, right, right, the Sister Scissors or something, right?" They are Jolene's Wrath. I whisper hazily in my head, she gets the memo and nods, "Well, I take it they're the ones I am guarding, I have to polish them twice a day, just so I can have an excuse to stay near them, but now I don't have to polish them anymore, look, the halls are all empty, but Zant put this curse on that area, I can't walk over there for anything without him knowing, you're on your own." Thanks for the help, Midna, now I'm fair game once more, I cross the hall and enter the door, when I do I see a helmet on a set of black robes, striped blue horizontally, "Link," the voice came from behind the helmet, "you have done me a great favor by awakening the red tear, now face my fury! Feel Ganondorf's fury!"
Midna: I had only to hear the words, "My fury!" to know trouble was rising, Zant's egoistic, sure, but he has fury? This is new. And now the next words come that make my brain boil with rage of unspeakable depths, "Feel Ganondorf's fury!" I know now what must be done. I see the golden wolf hero and leap forward. I know what you're thinking, "She's going to move in the way of Link and take the blow!" Wrong! I do not take the blow for someone, I make the blow a matter of return strikes, as in no one but the enemy gets a bloody nose, I would have leapt to the ground, grab the hero by his hind ankles, and spin us both as I still move forward, we spiral, hit a wall, I bounce off, Zant shoots red light at me, and I kick the lights back, then he learns what he's dealing with. But no, as soon as the door's open I feel a blow to the chest. Not that I hate Zant, but he is dead, I mean, consider it done.
Link: That made me so angry, this guy will be sorry when I'm done with him. I leap forward and bite into the air, clamping my teeth on air, the guy just vanishes, I turn back to the Gerudo and notice that the glow of my fur is faded, "Link?" she mumbles, then silence.
Nabooru found us much later, Midna was now tiny, I was darker, and Nabooru was beginning to lose her patience, "Link, time is fading, as am I, Midna, Link, you must find a way to Moga and—and stop the—the—the-" I howl at the ceiling as Nabooru's speech is cut short and Midna stares at me, I think she hears my pain, this was a close friend, now she's out like a light—wait, there's a light where she was, a slight gasp from Midna interrupts my mournful nocturne and she says, "Link, use your senses, this is beyond crazy." She's right, I know what she means and she knows that, all Sheikah have this power to see hidden things, but this is weirdness in person, not only is there a light, but with my senses it spreads from an orb to, "Nabooru?" she nods at me, "Yes, this is the last time I can tell you anything, but with the last of my power let me tell you that the land is now changed, go to Moga or else, during the eclipse, at the break of dawn, all will be gone, eclipse at Moga, break of dawn, all is gone." Nabooru doesn't usually repeat herself, but that's probably an echo. Suddenly the building's layout is known to me and Midna jumps on my back—not with words, with weight. Am I reduced to such a beast of burden? But she actually isn't heavy, though I know something's on my back, "Alright, you hang on, there seem to be lights in the mental map in my mind." She smirks and I see that this was not unexpected, "That would be all thanks to me." Nabooru just died and she finds time for levity, does the gravity of the situation have no effect on her at all? Okay, so Nabooru's not dead, but she's close enough, she's trapped without a way to move things around, that's bad enough, "Link, those lights you see are the tears I hid here, I had no idea what they'd do until this day came, but I think you should try to collect them." I do, and when it's done a mirror appears and I end up on a tall point in the sky, "Familiar?" Is this Clock Town?! But how, why?! Wow, now I'm experiencing levity of a different sort, the one where I cannot feel the gravity of any situation, except the one where the kids want to know if Link can come out to play, this time I see four shapes, a sea dragon, a monkey, an owl, and a goat, which reminds me of the Duramboros. "Blue eyed beast, Hero of Time, Keaton, the time has come." I stand before them and look at them all, giving each his own four seconds, which equals sixteen seconds, the same number of tears I collected so far, "The power of the light you collected was used by Nabooru so she could tell you what she said, what we told her to say. Keaton, Link, are you ready?" I nod and step forward, my least pleasant expression glued to my face, "Where's the portal?" they point to one child who is not transformed, "Are you ready?" he asked enthusiastically, I nod silently, one word from my mouth and my eyes will mistake that as their cue. I think in my head that I wish to land hard so I am unconscious for a while, this place holds so much darkness, knowing that Rululonia has no power with which to defend herself makes me angry, but there's nothing to destroy, and realizing that anger won't fix it I have a breakdown, small, short, but meaningful. And a complete waste of time, Rululonia would tell me to hurry up already, and I would agree with her.
I realize when my eyes open that the moment I saw the Lunarians I was human, Midna seems confused by this, and so she begins the questioning, "Does that mean—Keaton, the man and the monster, that's you?" "I guess, I don't know, they may have been calling you Keaton." She sputtered and waved her hand around, "Whatever you say, Mr. Important Hero." She followed me as I walked up to Moga Village's Chief, "Here to keep an old man company?" "Actually, I was here about the-" I was going to reach for the Skyward Sword—the insulting compliment I gave myself—but it wasn't on my back, suddenly the chief broke out into bouts of laughter, "Look at the little kid! It must be a Shakalaka, you know what we do now, don't you? We eat it!" "Say what!?" Midna's eyes went all kinds of huge, "Ah, ha, ha! Just kidding, look at the two of you, you're a dynamic duo already!" does he mean Batman and Robin? Awesome, I'm Batman! She's Robin! That's a girl's name and a boy's name, so it makes sense anyways! Midna looks crossed, but the chief has too many tears of laughter to see the expression on her face, he's pointing at the house I lived in once upon a timeline, "You can live in that house, kid, you and the Shakalaka boy." Okay, my sidekick is about to kick someone's side, the chief, of course, "I'm not a boy." She says harshly, but for some reason, I understand only her meaning, but her words sound foreign to my ears, but I still understand her, now a carefree lad runs up and places his head approximately five centimeters from her helmet, "I am not very comfortable with the proximity of this kid's face!" Midna screams, very much sounding like an enraged Remlit, "It's a fairy!" the boy exclaimed with glee, sounding similar to Midna, the chief and I are both uncertain as to step two, but I tap her helmet and we leave the village in search of my sword, "You really think it'll be out here? Don't you have a tracker for that thing?" "No, I never needed one." I admit, though I try to sound more irritated, and I am, but I sound more guilty than anything, "Well, you need one now." She says with an obvious tone of voice that I dislike, "Zip it, Midna; just zip it." "I am not a fairy, but speaking of that, where's Navi? Word around the fortress is that she doesn't let you out of sight for too long." I try to ignore her, but she's right, where's Navi? "Uh-ho-" I manage to say before a speeding bullet of light hits me in the chest, sending me down, "Link, I was so worried, you had me scared, don't you ever, ever do that again!" okay, whatever she just said, this is the genuine Navi, but however annoying she gets, I can't help but admire her even more, sometimes I paint a family portrait, and Navi is my mom, that's the only first thing I think of when Navi hits me—oh, wait, you'll love this one—older sister. Told you so, anyways, Navi is trying not to act as though we have a visitor, but I can sense her anxiety, "Link, who's this?" I let out a long sigh and give her the spiel, her brain is good at mopping up the mess and she instantly finds an analysis, "Won't Nabooru be upset that you didn't bring her back, you are completely unarmed—and where's the Master Sword?!" I let out a long sigh and shrug, "Then before the eclipse we must have it back or else we'll all die!" then, resuming her usual calm stance, "Well, I see Midna is well filled in on this situation, which means we can use her help, right, Link?" "Right, Navi, as usual." I shrug and throw on a grin, then I wonder what reason's Navi will have besides the obvious covering of my emotions and what I'm expressing, but when I think not about the separation, but the reunion, I can't help but smile, sure it's a pill to be away from her for so long, considering that she's probably lost somewhere, but when I find her it'll be something that I will never fully comprehend, besides, she can take care of herself, I know she can.
When we get back from the woods the guild girl is speaking in frantic tones to the chief, I hear one word and know that Ganandorf's messing up the timeline, "Ivory Lagiacrus?" I ask as calmly as I can, "Yeah it's coming here, and just after the quakes too."
"Well, I'll take care of that, I've tickled the ivory myself once or twice."
"He, that's what we used to say about beating the Ivory Lagiacrus back when I was a young hunter."
"You won't believe me, but you sent me out once to fight him, I'll do it again."
"You won't believe me, either, kid, but I trust you, go, the Guild Sweetheart already has a request out on him. I take it my other self didn't forget to tell you all about him? Well, even if he did you made it once right?"
"I shock trapped him and captured him." I tell the old hunter as I head for the counter and sign myself up, preparing for a long battle, still worrying the Ceadeus will always be the one to cause the quakes, wondering if Ganondorf knows that, or if he wants to make life complicated for me.
The Guild drops me off in a hidden area in Moga, just above my target, I smile. This battle is destined to be my best clocked baddie. I jump…this is going to be a long fight, because I just remembered that, other than Din's Fire, I can't really attack this fellow, so here's hoping Din will be enough. Upon landing I am immediately aware of the fur growing from the Lagiacrus' mouth…I recall the Ceadeus…put two and two together…O…M…triple G, "You ate him!" I accuse, horrified that what the alternate chief said was true in a very literal sense. Then it hits me…that I shouldn't have yelled at him, "Well, there goes the element of surprise." Midna says, disgusted as she sees a luminous organ stuck between the creature's toes…it's like the Ceadues was a goat or something, this is the second time I've seen one large monster tear down another large monster, the first being when the Deviljho took down a Great Jaggi in the Jaggia Menace quest.
The Lagiacrus spits to wide impact lightning bolts at me, only my Hylian Shield keeps me from feeling the burn, and then I burn this little monster with Dins's Fire, and am amazed that I never thought to use that before and then proceed to get hit by one of the aforementioned electric spits, everything goes black, typical for this attack, and from the mist comes a stranger in dark armor, "Hero Keaton, you face many terrible trials."
"Yes…and my name's Link, who are you?"
"LiteShadoe, Hylia has sent me through twelve worlds to reach you."
"Kind of like Subspace Emissary, huh?"
"With the goal being to give you this sword, Eclipse, darkness contained in a field of light, or a light cloaked in darkness, depending on the world's current status it will be one or the other…this was forged from the conflicted between Hylia and her enemy, who is now at the Core of Time, but this blade was not forged then, if you go there it will cease, for now you must find the Goddess Sword, it will be in a great darkness at the Edge of Time, you will need to go with this sword, when in the darkness it is a candle, it will serve you well." And then he's gone…and I'm back to getting my lunch handed to me, so I grab my blade and I hold it up, "Hylia, give me your light!" and am struck by lightning, "I guess that's a no." Midna and Navi say simultaneously, Midna notices this an hold her palm out and Navi smacks herself into it, and while that's going on I'm getting snapped up by a piano, no matter how many times we clash I forget that this one snaps behind his shoulders, but this time I remembered to hold my shield up at the last millisecond, then an upward strike, the scary part being that his face shattered on contact. This is a very powerful blade, but I'm not scared of it falling into the wrong hands, I'm appalled that the possibility even exists. I continue fighting this monster, but am curious as to this blades power, so I focus on unlocking it and see a world of terrible possibilities, a future where I lose, one where Rululonia dies, one where I go dark, and none of the reasons are known to me, so this must be a trick to keep anyone from trying to use it. I endure the marathon of terror an find that I can transform in a wolf with this, so I go for it.
Midna hopes on my back and Navi flies towards the Ivory Lagiacrus, then it hits me that she never analyzed it before, "Hey, tell me about this monster, Navi!"
"Ivory Lagiacrus: Almost always seen in a supercharged state…stay clear of its Electric Burst!" I wait until she's done talking to spread out a dark energy field, but when I do, the monster falls and I retransform then I vanish…I'm sure the Guild will love this, I tickle the ivory, then I don't even stick around for the reward, but it's not like I had a say in this, I just allow for it.
"Keaton, Hero of Light, the Ivory Lagiacrus may be gone, but the time draws near, you had seventy-two hours, now you have sixty-five, hurry."
"I'm only one person, though."
"You will not fail if you hurry, you're next journey will be back to the Lake Hylia." They leave vanish with no more words and a portal opens, I step in to find myself in the room where Morpheel was…and why's there a bluish blade stuck here? Well, nothing to do but grab it up.
"Link, it's so good to see you here."
"You!" I exclaim my finger pointing at Ghirahim, "Me?" he says in a hurt tone, "Volvidon, then…after an ugly red beast type monster from the Volcano."
"Ah, yes, the dimension where you fought several monsters for the Guild, I remember quite well."
"What are you doing here?"
"My master's bidding." With that a long tongue stretches towards me, but I dodge, only for him to take the sword and leave.
"Well what did you expect him to do?"
"Nothing Midna, just thought he'd be interested in killing me is all."
"Why'd you think that?"
"His master's bidding? Come on, it would have made anyone think that."
"Blue eyed beast, Keaton, all hope is not yet lost, time is still in your favor, Fi can track the blade."
"Who's Fi?"
"She will be here shortly." They say, before vanishing. "So, who's Fi, Midna?"
"I'm in the dark on this too."
"Are you two arguing again?"
Navi asks us, "Yes." We tell her together, "I think she and I could be related, I think she was at the Temple of Time, or at least, that's what I sense."
"Then let's go." I say as I hold the hilt of my blade with both of my hands, a powerful wind swirling out from the blade and blowing my hair back…so epic.
When the wind ceased I opened my eyes and we were in the Temple of Time, no sword in sight, but there was a blue hair girl collapsed…she reminded me of a mannequin, "Hey, Navi, we found you're kin!" I exclaimed, taking this to be Fi as this mannequin actually pulled itself to its feet, "I am Navi." Fi told me as she stared expressionlessly, "Navi, what happened?"
"That blade hasn't been used sense it's forging, and so it has powers you still haven't discovered, one of those is to break the Wall of Time to find Hylia's Corner of Time."
"Then that's what we'll do!" I said as I struck the sword into the Pedestal of Time…which I really shouldn't have done, but as I saw it, if the Master Sword could send me back through time, this baby can break through time itself…but instead I found myself in a place I never saw with some man standing across from me who I've never seen, Ghirahim was talking with him, I thought I had the element of surprise when the big guy called me "Master." Weirdest thing I've been called in the last six hours, "Who are you?" I asked, when Ghirahim introduced him as Master Demise and proceeded to unveil their master plan…the entire conversation was rather short, so I may be able to relate it…let's see, something like, "Who is he, you ask? He is my master, Master Demise."
"Allow me to unveil our master plan to you, Master. This is a land before Hyrule was formed…the Void, you called it, as we battled atop a Ganon's Tower, you set me in a prison to return the world to normal, and then freed me, you named me Demise, thus giving me a new life as your servant, changing me from Ganondorf to someone with a high purpose."
"Look, maybe you had amnesia or something, but you started out as Demise, then the Witches revived you, right?"
"In this time…in the time you are from originally, but now that truth is gone, the universe is yours, with the heat of battle between Hylia and I you created that blade, and then made an inferior one and named it Ghirahim, show our master!" he said, and Ghirahim became a sword, "And all this time I thought you were a vampire, but I'm curious, why did I do any of that?"
"I don't know, but I recall you took the Triforce and made it yours…I absorbed Hylia's might, master, I did it, just like you said, the Triforce of Wisdom became mine also… just as you told me, but the Triforce of Power is in the Dark World."
"No it's not," said a man in a bunny suit, pulling back the hood which served as a bunny mask too, and revealed a face which looked a lot like me, except different somehow, small ways, his hair color, for one, "I am Ravio," he said, "your counterpart in another world, one which has lost its light."
"And I am Hilda, Zelda's counterpart, with this Triforce staff I'll summon Nayru, Farore, and Din, Ravio, give the Triforce of Power to Your counterpart."
"Here, buddy, good luck!"
"Demise," I said in my most commanding voice, "give me the Triforce of Wisdom."
"No you're not my master, he is." Demise pointed behind me and I looked around and found that Ravio was still here, startling, there's three of us, Demise smiles and gives up the power to his true master, who gives me an evil look before vanishing with a blade that looked like the one Ghirahim wielded, "Demise, how could you give that me the key to dimensional destruction?"
"He is my master." was his only response, and a fury I've never felt before filled me as I thought of Rululonia, and looked to draw my blade, but it was gone, suddenly a guy with big shoulders and a red pompadour stepped out of a portal…maybe I could dye my hair green and wear that style instead of a windsock…but this guy doesn't look like a Link, "Who are you, Link number five?"
"Huh? I'm Groose, and Granny sent me here to take care of business."
"Yeah, but have you ever heard of the Hero of Time before?"
"Only when Granny called me that, I'm here to save Zelda. Who are you?"
"Well, they're calling me Keaton, so you may as well call me that too."
"Keaton, alright, well, if you're a friendly then let's take down these two!"
"Alright." I say as we step towards the Demise and Ghirahim, Groose's look of shook as Ghirahim became a blade must have been mirrored by my own, but we didn't waste too much time as we charged forward, and Groose was no weakling as he and I took turns taking and dealing damage with Demise, but both of us were shocked when the Demise used lightning, Groose and I held up our blades, gather lightning and sending it back, as Fi and Navi both suggested to us, eventually he landed the villain on his back, and I leapt up, did a triple flip in midair, gathering lightning the entire time, and landed the final blow, at which point he exploded, only to be gathered by the dark blade of Dark Link, "Who are you?"
"I'm you from another time, the you who remained behind after you used the Pedestal of Time with Eclipse, I saw it's raw power and tempered my skill, I stayed twenty years learning the blade's power, Navi urged me to get my act together, that Rululonia could be dying…and so I ended her, then-"
"You killed Navi?!"
"As I was saying, I needed to stop being reminded of that, and in her taller form she was quite easy to kill, especially when she asked me what was going on and just stood there, begging me to not, knowing I would, calling me a villain, knowing I was, it was a new experience for me, and a good lesson on my way to usurping control from Hylia, of course, Rululonia disapproved, this lock of hair is the only reminder I need of her, of the world I slowly destroyed, to banish Hylia as Demise was banished."
"And you have failed beautifully." Zelda said, not remembering me, but instantly recognizing Groose, who didn't recognize my windsock…though Zelda did notice the similarities in our blades, I could tell by the way she squinted, "Zelda, don't you remember me?"
"I'm not Zelda, I'm Hylia."
"And I'm Keaton, you've got to be joking."
"No, Master Keaton, but I thank you for your aid in assisting Groose, now everyone stand back as I fight this person!"
The battle which came forth last a day, leaving thirty-eight hours for me to fight in, when suddenly a blade was forged from their clash, I took the blade as they fought in the empty world, and turned into a wolf, golden fur, I might add, and struck at my dark counterpart, who then unleashed Demise, damaged Hylia, warped Groose, and struck me so hard that I returned to human form, I was sure it was over until the world turn dark and my blade became a candle, as the shrouded one said, and I struck through the darkness, defeated Demise, and the despaired that only twenty-four hours remained, but when I opened my eyes I was in front of the Lagiacrus from earlier, "What's happening?" I asked Midna and Navi, neither knew, but both were tall now, which left Midna quiet happy, she had silver armor and I had Din's Fire…Master Sword was gone from me still…and somehow this was the responsibility of another Link…how did I know all of that? It was a distant memory returning, and I recalled Groose before I even saw Ghirahim…this world was becoming strange an new, yet I remembered all of it, suddenly LiteShadoe appeared to lend me aid, "You have seventy-three hours to recomplete the tasks you've been assigned."
"What? But I think we've pretty well established that Hylia already sent you, right?"
"She did, and I handed you this blade, which you lost."
"You remember that, huh?"
"I am outside of the stream of time that is why I am here; I am not of your world, otherwise I would be at a loss, as you are."
"Okay, well, what should I do?"
"Go to Ganon's Tower, there you will find a terror made manifest."
"Hey, LiteShadoe?"
"What do you need?"
"Nothing, but I know what my Triforce power is, when I am terrified I become stronger by facing those fears…but I don't recall holding the Triforce of Courage, am I losing my memories?"
"Slowly but surely your memories will leave you, seventy-two hours before they're gone."
"Very well, but if I fall, will there be another?"
"There will always be another, so long as the human spirit possesses courage."
"Okay, thanks for telling me that, I actually feel less afraid now."
"Good, warp whenever you're ready…let me guess, when time is resumed you'll finish this Ivory Lagiacrus quest?"
"Yep!" I said cheerily as the shrouded one vanished, leaving me to fight this monster in my true form, which didn't take long at all, and so I warped to Hyrule Castle.
It'll be another one after this, hopefully I didn't leave you hanging too long…whoever is reading this right now…including me, this has been keeping me wondering for a while, at first I asked myself why I started, then I got back to it and remembered! ;)
