Trains and Tears
We don't get to say goodbye to mum. I have heard of times you were given time to say goodbye, the hunger games are much harsher now. When we get on the train, we only have one mentor, Tash.
"I am so, so sorry. You deserve so much better." She tells us.
"It's ok. This is the way we are men't to die!" Dix says.
"Very brave. Very brave indeed" She tells us.
Then we go and watch the recaps of the reapings. Me and Dix snuggle into Tash.
Just as I thought, we are the youngest. The third youngest person is 9. In every district, someone volunteered for the young ones, even district 12. I'm surprised no one volunteered for us. Thea comes out her room, she looks like shes been crying since we got on the train, but just the sight of us makes her cry again.
