'Agreed, actually something just came to me though it's rather off topic at the moment.'
'And what is that young one?'
'I never asked you for your name and the one time I did you brushed it off and I haven't asked since.'
'Hmm, well I had a reason to never tell you my name. So, it's nice to finally meet you Mr. Harry James Potter, my name is Rosaline Marie Potter but most people just call me Marie.'
'WHAT?'
Missing a Family Member : Chapter Three
When Harry awoke the next morning after his talk with the voice whom he had found out was really his second cousin Rosaline Marie Potter or as she said just Marie, he found he was still in shock even after having thought on the matter long into the night. Harry just couldn't understand how he still had a living relative. Marie had said when they met in person she would explain the situation in more detail.
Harry heaved a sigh and gazed out his window from his position on the bed. He frowned when he thought on how she had ended their conversation so abruptly last night.
-Flashback-
'WHAT?'
'Yes rather shocking I know but it is the truth.'
'I have… I'm not…what?' Harry thought so shocked he had begun stammering.
'I see or rather sense,' she chuckled a little at her own odd joke before continuing, 'that you are in to much shock to truly absorb any more information tonight so I shall leave you to think upon the information I have given you. Good night little one, pleasant dreams tonight.'
-End Flashback-
Harry got up and moved across his room to the little dresser situated in the corner and stated to pull out clothes to change into for the day.
After dressing in the oversized clothes he had received from Dudley Harry walked over to the window and looked out pass the bars. He remembered when they had first been put on it was before he had begun his second year at Hogwarts and after Dobby the house elf had visited him over the summer to warn him of the Chamber of Secrets.
He remembered with a smile Marie had said they were treating him like some sort of criminal or prisoner. He recalled she had complained and comforted him about them for the rest of the summer he had spent at the Dursleys' home before Fred, George, and Ron Weasley had busted him out and then she didn't speak to him until the next summer.
She had said she didn't want any of the Weasleys finding out about their talks and he had agreed because they were something he wanted to keep to himself. It was his own little secret that he did not wish to share with anyone not even the people he called his best friends though he began to doubt their friendship since the end of their 6th year at Hogwarts.
They had begun to give him odd looks and whenever he had entered a room they had stopped talking immediately.
It had made him suspicious of what they had been speaking of because the looks they gave him reminded him of the ones people had given him when he had been accused of being a dark wizard serving Voldemort.
Harry heaved a sigh of annoyance and frustration as he realized he had five days until his seventeenth birthday but that also meant that he had to wait four horrendously long days until he would be able to meet his cousin in person.
As Harry watched the sunrise from his barred window a thought occurred to him. 'I wonder how she is going to get me away from the order guards around the house when she comes to get me the day before my birthday.'
Harry turned from the window and slowly made his way to his bedroom door and then down the stairs to the kitchen to began breakfast for the Dursleys.
As he cooked the bacon and eggs he heard the thumping coming from the ceiling indicating either his pig of a cousin or uncle were up because he was quite sure his aunt was not fat enough to make that much noise let alone to shake the walls.
With a snort of amusement at the thought of his horsey aunt blowing up to the size of her overweight husband his uncle entered the room Dudley right behind him eager to stuff some food down his gullet.
Harry sighed as he put down plates filled with bacon, eggs, and toast on the table for his uncle, aunt, and cousin. As he turned to go and clean the kitchen his aunt entered the dining room with a grimace at him she sat and began to eat the breakfast he prepared.
He leaned against the counter eating the toast and drinking the glass of water that was his breakfast as he contemplated his current housing status. After all he was quite sure that when Marie arrived she would not want to stay here at the Dursleys' home.
That made him wonder where she would take him to stay. He was positive that even if she had wanted to stay here his relatives would not have allowed it. His uncle, if he was lucky enough, might even have some kind of stoke or heart attack or some other thing relating to his high blood pressure at the thought of another 'Freak' within his household.
'I suppose my luck isn't that great though,' Harry thought while giving a sigh of repressed aggravation.
Harry slowly straightened from his leaning position against the sink and stretched his arms above his head to remove the knots of tension from his back, neck, and shoulders.
Grudgingly making his way outside to mow the lawn and water the flowers Harry glanced across the street to where he knew an order member was hiding while keeping watch on him for Dumbledore.
'I doubt that is very good protection after all I am the Boy-Who-Just-Won't-Die and everyone wants to kill me so what good is one little order member going to do if Voldemort shows up with his inner circle and all the nasty beasties that are siding with him. I doubt these blood wards would hold up for long if they hold up after all he has my blood now after that stupid ritual in the graveyard to bring him back to his supposed life.'
After finishing with the chores outside Harry went into the house to scrub the kitchen down and get all the dirty laundry out of the way. It had started to pile up and it smelled rather odd.
When he was finished with all the chores he had to prepare and clean up dinner which he did in silence while his uncle made sarcastic and mean comments toward him.
Harry lay in his room later that night staring up at the ceiling as he waited for sleep to come to him. He smiled happy that he only had to put up with his awful muggle family for just 3 more days which would probably be one of the happiest days in his life. After all he was going to meet the only other living Potter and they were taking him away from this place.
With a content smile on his face Harry James Potter drifted off to sleep happy with the knowledge of seeing his wizarding family for the first time, but while he sleep content a young girl on the opposite side of the world awoke from a nine year sleep.
"Just 3 days my little cousin and then we shall meet," with a wicked smile on a beautiful face a young woman began preparing herself to travel to England.
