The Doctor groaned loudly as he woke up for the second time. He was lying twisted awkwardly on the floor, his legs bent to the side with one arm under his and one twisted to the side. He pushed himself onto his elbows, blinking to clear his vision. His jaw ached where it had been hit but luckily wasn't broken. He looked around to see he was still in Baker Street with the TARDIS but panicked when he noticed saw the empty chair with Sherlock's jacket draped over it where Sherlock had been. The Doctor immediately jumped straight up.

'Sherlock?' he called. He couldn't have been unconscious more than about 20 minutes; he didn't imagine Sherlock could've been in any state to leave by himself that quickly. His attention landed on the apartment door as he heard the lock click and the woman who had knocked him out walked in.

'Finally' she said, rolling her eyes. The Doctor opened his mouth to speak but she held up her hand 'Uh-uh.' The Doctor waited patiently, not wanting to repeat his last experience. There was a moment of silence before she eventually spoke.

'We've got Sherlock in a car downstairs, we're going to take him regardless of what happens now.' There was another pause. 'You can come with us – Section 31 won't know where to find you, I can send someone to keep an eye on your spaceship and we can get your doctor back.' She paused, waiting for an answer.

'Or?' he asked, knowing the answer.

'Or you'll wake up with a broken jaw, a spaceship that won't move and you'll have to deal with Section 31 on your own.' The woman crossed her arms and waited for an answer. The Doctor was silent for a moment before giving a shrug.

'I suppose I'm coming with you then.' He extended his hand. 'I'm the Doctor.' The woman hesitated before shaking his hand and introducing herself in turn.

'Irene Adler.' Just then there was a buzz from Adler's coat. She pulled out her phone and looked at it briefly.

'We need to go' she said, heading towards the door. 'Grab anything you need quickly.' The Doctor looked around and saw his sonic lying on the floor a couple of metres away and grabbed it before following Adler down the stairs.
