A.N. Hello my little cupcakes, I decided that because I hadn't updated in forever before yesterday that I would treat you guys to two chapters today, so here is the next chapter I hope you guys enjoy. And remember to have a wonderfully splendiferous day my little cupcakes. Chapter 5
The Stone Angels
I kept shouting at the Doctor to snap out of it but he wouldn't pay attention and I didn't know how to get him to pay attention so I punched him in the stomach and he finally snapped out of whatever he was thinking about and looked around. He got a look on his face where his eyes got really wide, his eyebrows furrowed, and his mouth turned into a frown, he was worried. I looked around and I didn't see anything to worry about, it was kind of dark and had gray stone walls and a dusty chandelier hung from the ceiling and a few dozen stone statues that looked like angels. "Don't take your eyes off of the angels, we're going to back up to the teleport and we are leaving." He was really frightened but he wasn't frightened for himself, he was frightened for me, but I wasn't afraid so I said, "No! We are going to figure this out Doctor, and why should I stare at the statues?" as I said this I turned around to look at him and no one was looking at the statues and he shouted "TURN AROUND!" I whipped around and all of the statues were right in front of us, they had blank eyes and a round large mouth with pointy teeth, they were terrifying "D-D-Doctor, w-wh-what a-are th-those things?" I asked my voice very shaky, "Weeping angels, the most highly evolved species, and they have been here since the dawn of time. They have the best defense mechanism out of any animal, when another living creature is looking at them they turn to stone, and you can't kill a stone, but a stone can't kill you either, but as soon as you look away, as soon as you blink they move." He said this all very fast so it was hard to understand but I got the basics of it so I came up with a plan, "Doctor, you keep looking at them and I will find a way out." I explained to the Doctor, "Wait, take this, think of setting 259 and hold the button, you can use it as a torch, good luck" he tossed me his sonic and I thought of setting 259, I pressed the button and the tip of the sonic lit up. I finished as he was saying good luck so I said, "You too." And I started walking, using the sonic as a torch like the doctor said, I moved the light of the sonic to the left and I found a small wooden door. It stood out because it was wooden and there wasn't any dust on it. I tried to open the door but it was locked so I went back to get the Doctor. I caught sight of him and the angels just as he blinked and I could tell he thought they had touched him. I ran as fast as I could over to him still keeping all of the angels in my line of sight. I reached over and grabbed the Doctor's arm and yanked him up and shouted, "DOCTOR! OPEN YOUR EYES! I CAN'T KEEP ALL OF THEM IN MY LINE OF SIGHT AND DRAG YOU AND MAKE SURE WE ARE GOING THE RIGHT WAY!" his eyes flicked open and he saw me and again snogged me, his arms bolted around me and it almost took my concentration off of the angels, almost but not quite. As much as I didn't want to I shoved him away telling him, "We can celebrate the fact that you aren't DEAD, LATER! Right now we need to get out of here. You almost got us killed, if I had closed my eyes we would both be DEAD. Now you need to make sure you keep your eyes on them and if you need to blink tell me. Now back up." We backed up a few feet and then I said, "Stop! Now we need to do this very carefully, to the left of the angels is a small door I need you to watch the angels while I open the door, but the door is locked so I need you to tell me how to unlock it." He stuck his hand out to me and said, "Give me the sonic and you can watch the angels while I open the door." I gave him the sonic and we switched places and for a split second no one was looking at the angels. In that split second one of the angels pointed to the light and the lights started to flick on and off, every time the lights went out the angels got closer. "DOCTOR HURRY UP, THEY'RE GETTING CLOSER!" I shouted. I knew that if the lights went out twice more they would reach us, "DOCTOR!" I shouted even louder. The lights went off then back on, I only had a few more seconds, three… two… one… just as the lights went out the Doctor grabbed me and pulled me through the door shutting it just in time to keep the angels out. He hugged me very tightly, so tightly I thought I might suffocate, he let go but before I had a chance to catch my breath, for the third time today, he kissed me. He stayed there for a few seconds but I pulled away to breathe. He turned around very quickly and I felt like he was hiding something from me, "What was that for Doctor?" I asked. he turned around and his face was bright red, "You said we could celebrate the fact that I wasn't dead later. I thought it was later" he explained. This time it was me who kissed him. He didn't object but we heard a strange sound that was like chck-hiss chck-hiss. The Doctor seemed very concerned about it. He told me to "go hide behind those trees, there is something I have to do." I asked him what it was and he said on word, "Cybermen."
