Chapter Six: The Truth Is

I sat on the porch of my house. I checked my phone it just hit 3 am. Why can't I sleep? I stared at the darkness that crept on the sky. The only light the sky supplied was the small tiny stars painted all over the sky.

I guess Tom found me on the porch and carried me on to the couch because I woke up there and I'm pretty sure I passed out on the porch.

"Bro, you okay? You don't look so good. Plus you slept on the porch."

"I'm fine…actually no. I'm wreck." I sighed and covered my face.

"Munro I know you are a wreck," Tom sat next to me and placed a hand on my back. He rubbed my back gently. "I'm your twin, I feel what you feel. It's twin telepathy. What happened at the party cause since then I noticed your behavior."

"I apparently grinded with Cristine, I kissed Aislinn at midnight and told her I love her. Not like I love you in a friendly way. In a way like I love you babe."

Tom looked speechless. "Wow. Umm…" He scratched the back of his head. "Do you love her for real? I know you known her forever. Were you drunk?"

"I was drunk."

Tom laughed. "You always do stupid stuff when you are drunk. Did you talk to Justin about it?"

"Yeah, I did. He told me, that if I love Ais like that I should date her because he's 100% positive she likes me. But if I don't feel that way then maybe I let her down easy and try to be best friends again."

"Its 10:30 maybe she's awake now, you should go talk to her."

"You're right, I'll see you later Tom." I picked up my car keys and went to my car. I drove towards Ais' house. I found myself singing along to the radio.

I arrived at Ais' house. I shut off the car and stared at the huge red brick house. I got out of the car with the song stuck in my head. I swallowed hard as I rang the doorbell. I heard someone walk down the stairs. Shortly after that the door opened and there stood a sleepy Ais. I felt bad that I woke her up.

"Munro? What are you doing here?" She asked in a groggy voice. It was so cute. I saw a blush creep against her cheeks. I studied her quickly. She smelled like cinnamon with a hint of vanilla. Her curls were pulled up in a bun with small ones that just hung above her eyes. She was wearing a white camisole that was a little too see through but she had a white cotton bra underneath. She also had short purple polka-dot boy shorts. She looked beautiful.

"I…um…oh yeah, I came to talk."

She gestured inside. "Come on in." I sat on the couch and she sat right next to me.

"Ais, I'm still sort of confused on my feelings but maybe we can..." I pointed to both of us "hangout or go on a date if you would prefer."

She nodded her head. "Okay Munro, we can hangout or go on a date. My parents aren't home so we can hang out here and watch movies."

I smiled. "Sounds like a plan."

"Okay, well I have to shower. You can stay here and make yourself at home while I shower." I nodded. Ais headed up the stairs. I laid down on the couch and flipped through channels. I was so tired. I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

"Munro wake up!"

I shook and opened my eyes. "How long was I out?"

"About a half an hour." I stretched and yawned. "I don't have good DVD's unless you wanna see a romance type of movie."

"We could go to my house. I got lots of good movies. Home Alone, 50 First Dates, The Dark Knight Rises, and all that good stuff."

"Home Alone sounds good. I'll just get my coat." She walked over to the closet and got her coat. "Let's go." I walked towards her door and opened it as she followed along. We walked towards my car as our hands slightly brushed against each other. We both smiled at the feeling. I opened the car door for her. "Thanks." I closed it and went to my side. The car ride was pretty silent.

We got to my house and as we walked inside I noticed Tom was nowhere in sight. I saw a note on the living room table. It read,

"Munro, I'm going out with a few friends won't be back till late tonight. Hope you worked out your situation with Ais. Love you bro. –Tom"

Ais sat on the couch and I took her coat. After hanging it up, I went to the kitchen and put the popcorn in the microwave, "water, sprite, fruit punch or milk?" I asked Ais.

"Sprite." I nodded and got two glasses of sprite. The microwave beeped and I empted the bag into a big bowl. I walked back to the couch and placed everything down on the small table. I put the movie into the DVD player.

"It's chilly I should get us a blanket." Ais nodded and smiled. I ran upstairs and grabbed my extra big fluffy blanket. I ran back downstairs and wrapped the big blanket around us. I skipped all the previews and clicked play on the movie. Ais stuffed her face with popcorn.

I couldn't help but stare at Ais' cuteness. She was so adorable. I drank my sprite and looked back at the movie. Throughout the movie, Ais scooted closer to me and laid her head on my lap. I took this opportunity to run my fingers through her hair. She smiled and closed her eyes.

I wanted to kiss her but maybe she didn't want that. Ais opened her eyes and we both stared at each other. I got the courage and leaned into her face. Our lips met and we kissed for what felt like hours. We pulled away and smiled at each other.
