Nico's pov:

I was sitting on top of Zeus' fist, looking around at the forest that surrounded me. I was thinking of Percy's whereabouts and how he could be dead-when his soul wasn't in the underworld.

'It is impossible! If he was dead not only would I be able to find him in the underworld but I should feel his life force disappear.' I thought to myself angrily. I was really starting to get pissed. 'If anyone is dead it would be Zain.' I thought bitterly. 'He's the one who is dead. Dead on the outside as much as the inside... Wait! Dead on the inside. Could that be, what he means?!' I thought.

I stood up and jumped off the top of Zeus' fist and landed on a bolder that was a few meters below the top. I continued to jump down bolder to bolder till I reached the ground and took off towards the cabins at a sprint. I ran through the foliage and made it to camp, panting from the fatigue that the sprinting caused.

"Hey, Nico, where you going?" Annabeth asked, as she caught up to me. She looked shocked.

"I am going to the Thanatos cabin. I need to talk to Zain." I said without breaking stride.

The cabin was twenty feet from us and it still reminded me of a tomb. Not the Egyptian tombs but modern tombs, the tall gray ones with the stone door that has whoever's name on it that is buried inside. This didn't bug me, but made Annabeth shiver.

"Are you sure Zain is in here?" She asked.

"Nope. But there is only one way to find out." I said before knocking three times on the coffin shaped door.

There was absolute silence as the door creaked open revealing a dark room. The walls of the room were covered in red names, each the height of an inch. Coffins seemed to have replaced beds in the cabin. Each one of them were closed except for two.

The first was a pure black coffin that looked to be rather old but had a white lining on the inside as well as a pillow and a jade green blanket.

The second one was in a room in the back of the cabin. It had a bronze like color and had steam coming out of the top of it. I turned my head and saw Annabeth walk over to it.

"No! Annabeth wait!-" I said trying to stop her but it was too late. Annabeth' s face morphed to one of pure fear, she looked worse than a cornered animal. Then she screamed.

'Great here we go' I thought as a very scared hand grabbed the rim of the coffin and pulled the rest of his body out. Annabeth pulled out her knife and took a few steps back.

"Nico, go get Chiron! I'll hold it off." Annabeth said to me.

"Annabeth. Calm down he is not going to hurt you." I said.

She turned to look at me before looking back at the figure.

"Nico, he is a monster. Monsters kill demigods." She said as if I was three, sometimes you really gotta hate Annabeth.

"That is completely true Annabeth. Although I'm sure Zain would prefer to not be called a monster." I said calmly.

It took her a minute to understand what I meant.

"Wait. That... Person over there... Is Zain?" She asked. I didn't have to explain for the figure nodded his head. "B-b-but he is-" she started to say before I cut her off.

"Pretty beat up? Yah." I said. She just stared at Zain. Zain has had a pretty bad past. It didn't help to be constantly beaten at each foster home he went to. Eventually he ran away and lived on his own and learned to fight with the drumsticks which were a gift from his father.

Supposedly the sticks are a weapon that is kept in Thanatos' family. It gets passed from one demigod son/daughter to the next. There was one who declined using them and used a scythe instead. He killed mercilessly with it and started the whole grim reaper thing mortals talk about.

Zain had received more and more wounds as he had to fight to live, which caused most of the damage. Although getting impaled by Kristina and the other camper doesn't help. I completely understood how Annabeth feels about seeing Zain completely for the first time, I felt the same way too when I first saw him, but I have gotten used to it.

'Poor Zain.' I thought.

Dameion' s pov:

The expression on Artemis's face was priceless. I wish I could have taken a picture of it, it's not everyday that you get to see the maiden goddess's face go from absolute shock with her jaw on the floor, to mad and wanting answers, then to her normal-happy/serious self.

She gave me a look that said we will talk later and I mentally sighed.

'This is going to be fun.' I thought to myself.

I headed back to my tent when Artemis started to explain the hunt and greek mythology to Kacie and started telling her the oath to be a hunter. When I got to the entrance of my tent my stomach growled, so I ran off in the woods to hunt.

It was quiet and peaceful as I started looking for my prey. I walked for about 20 minutes until I saw a herd of deer in the clearing in front of me. I started to creep forward to the closest one and got ready to bring it down when there was the sound of bows being fired. In less than a second all the male deers were shot full of arrows and fell to the floor. I watched as the females ran off and disappeared into the woods.

I slowly stood up and looked around the clearing, I could see a total of 5 male deer dead and no other deer in the area. The hunters came out of the trees along with Thalia, they seemed to be happy with there kills and were looking at there work.I turned and continued on with my hunt.

"Ok girls, start taking the deers back to the hunt. I will join you shortly." Thalia said. She then ran up to me and started walking beside me. I stopped and turned my head to look at her. "So you are the werewolf king Dameion?" She asked.

I gave a nod before I continued walking. Apparently she wasn't done talking because she continued to follow me.

"We both know Percy is alive. Kacie proved it when she stated that Percy brought her here. So where is he?" She asked.

'Wow even though she is not Artemis's daughter she is just as persistent as the goddess.' I thought.

I continued to walk until I saw a rabbit forty yards ahead of us. I crouched and started to stalk the appetizer of white fur. I got within five yards of it when a silver arrow struck the ground beside the rabbit. The rabbit took off before I could even blink. I growled in frustration. This was the second time I had lost my prey to the hunt.

I looked back at Thalia and saw that she had her bow in her hands.

"Oops. I must have accidentally let the arrow go. My bad." She said with fake innocence. The point of this was coming across clearly: if you don't start answering my questions you won't be able to catch anything.

I snapped my head back forward and continued on with my hunt.

'It has been one problem after another!' I thought.

I was getting fed up with Thalia at this point seen as how she has stopped me from catching anything, she has made me lose three rabbits, seven deer, a squirrel, five beavers, and however many berries were on that bush(it just happened to burst into flames as a lightning bolt struck it). 'I am really hungry now and if she so much as-' I thought when all of a sudden.

*SNAP* "OH! IM SO SORRY I MUST NOT HAVE SEEN THAT BRANCH THERE!" Thalia said loudly, -causing the wild bird i was trying to catch- to take off into the air.

'THATS IT!' I thought.

I turned around and stalked back to her growling the whole time.

"What are you going to do? You won't be able to take me by yourself." Thalia taunted me as she pulled out her spear and shield. I was going to make her eat those words when I smelled fresh food. It wasn't just one type either, I could smell fried chicken, pizza, meatloaf, and T-bone steaks. I completely ignored my opponent and took off to the smell of food.

I could faintly hear someone yelling after me and footsteps behind me, but I kept running not really caring who was behind me. Eventually, I broke through the forest and ran up a hill till I got to the top. Once I saw where I was at I completely stopped and didn't move. Spread out before me was a place I didn't want to be at ever again. I was overlooking Camp Half-Blood.

Annabeth' s pov:

What stood before me was what everyone would call a monster.

Zain was a zombie. For those of you who don't believe me just listen and you might understand.

Zains body was covered with scars, they ranged from small to large and were all over his body except for his head. The scars looked like they were not from only blades but also claws, teeth, spikes, spears, arrows, and maybe a shield or two. He also was missing chunks of his skin which were either because of some sort of burn or in some places seemed to have been bitten off. He probably would have been tan if his body wasn't bruised badly, it looks to be if someone beat him as a child.

He slowly walked forward and grabbed the door before closing it. As soon as it closed I turned to Nico.

"What the ha-" I started to say before I was stopped.

"Don't finish that sentence." Nico said. "What you just saw was Zain, and no, not one of the bodies he wears from his rings, but his actual body." He said.

I was absolutely speechless at the thought of Zain's body being really like that.

"There's way too much damage to his body for him to live. How is he still alive?" I asked.

"I can't tell you that." He said.

"Can't or won't?" I asked getting slightly annoyed that he wouldn't tell me.

"Can't. I swore on the Styx to never tell no matter what." He said.

Before I could ask another question Zain opened the door and reappeared in his ninja garb.

'At least I understand why he always wears his ninja gear.' I thought. 'If anyone saw him there would be mass panic.' I thought as the scene ran through my head.

He walked past us and walked outside. He stood out there like he was waiting for something.

Nico and I started to walk out when the conch horn went off signaling dinner. We all walked to the dinning pavilion and sat at our respective tables. Nico scooted to the end of his table in order to talk to Zain. There conversation must have gone how Nico wanted for Zain nodded and Nico got a huge smile on his face before ordering fried chicken.

I ordered pizza and was about to eat when I saw Chad walk up to Chiron and start talking to him. They seemed to be in some sort of argument, with Chad trying to convince the old centaur of something. Chad eventually won with Chiron reluctantly shaking his head yes. Chad smiled an evil smile before he left the dinning pavilion and went somewhere. I didn't care at the moment for I was hungry and started to eat my pizza.

It's Lycaon btw.
Also you seem to write in fragments, then in run on sentences
Ex.
I walked out of the throne room once Aphrodite finished trying to seduce me. I mentally barfed at to he thought of me and her. I mean she is drop dead gorgeous, and I would love to go out with her, but she has been with so many other guys that it's like getting sloppy seconds.
Fixed ex.
I walked out of the throne room once Aphrodite finished her attempts at seducing me, all of which made me nauseous. She is beautiful and all, but she had gone with too many guys to which it would make me feel uncomfortable.

i can see you are trying to help and I am not taking offense to this at all. I know I do this and I try not to but it is how I write and I like the way I write. So in other words I am sorry.

so no to the whole leaving you hanging thing and I hope this was quick enough. Although it would have been out faster if it wasn't accidentally deleted. Good news is that the notes app on my phone is hooked up to my gmail so it will send all my notes to my email. :)
