Ross's gaze flickered between me and the Everett. I was still gazing at the place, a single tear rolling down my cheek. His calloused hands cupped my face and turned me towards him, two fingers lifting my chin so our gazes met. He leaned his forehead against mine, wiping the wet trail left on my cheek with his thumb.
