4 Page Letter

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto. (Obviously or Neji wouldn't have died… - insert incoherent fangirl grumbling-)
She placed the pen down, her hands resting on top of the four full pages worth of emotion she had poured out over the last hour and a half. It made her feel better that she finally let the pent up emotions she had stored within her spill out on paper, even if it would never reach the person the letter was meant for. "It's better this way… he never needs to know."
Stuffing the letter into an envelope, she sealed it before neatly writing Neji Hyūga across the front and placing it in her desk drawer where it would sit for the next four years… forgotten.
…
4 Years Later
…
"Did you want to take all of this stuff as well," the pale eyed young man asked, gesturing to the desk drawer he had pulled opened while he was helping her pack her things up so that she could leave her parents' home for school.
"Yeah," she called behind her as she exited the room. "I'm just going to grab more boxes. Can you pull all that stuff out and separate it? That way when I get back we can just stuff it all in there and ship it off."
"Hn," he grunted as she left the room before he turned to do what was asked of him.
As he sat there, pulling things out, he came upon an envelope with his name written across the front of it. Turning it around in his hands, he glanced at it curiously. What exactly could this be…?
"Hey Neji," he heard her call out to him as she walked down the hall toward her room. "I brought snacks and boxes."
He quickly stuffed the letter inside his jacket then returned to doing what he had been doing before just as she walked through the door.
With a smile, the bun haired brunette sat down a plate of sweet buns and two cups of tea before throwing down the boxes she had brought as well, "Mom sent them up for us to have while we worked on getting through all my crap I've got up here."
Neji nodded, taking one of the sweet buns before carefully placing the contents of her desk into the box she had brought.
…
"Thanks again for all of your help Neji," she said as she walked the brown haired male to the door after they had finished eating dinner with her family. "It would have taken me forever if I had to do it alone. You're really a life saver."
"Think nothing of it, TenTen," Neji said as he turned to leave, "It was my pleasure to help you."
"Still I don't know what I would do without you," she said as she watched him walk down the porch steps and to his car that waited in the driveway. "I'll see you soon."
Neji nodded, giving her a slight wave as he stepped into his car before pulling off and driving away.
TenTen watched until she could no longer see him before she returned inside, heading upstairs to her room to get ready for bed, not knowing that he had the letter she had written four years ago.
…
Neji dropped the pieces of paper he held in his hands. TenTen…
He had no idea she felt that way. Had no idea that for so long, she had loved him just as he had loved her. Had no idea that she was too scared to confront him face to face about her feelings just like him. He had no idea… until he read that letter…
