So, since I have no life whatsoever, I'm gonna write this next chapter! I really hope you enjoy and do send me ideas! Also, check out my brother GrayXSilver's stories, which are really good, too. Really check them out! So, without further ado, enjoy this next installment of the Promise!

Dez, Trish and Dane were all excited about Cabaret. Dane and Dez had all even put away their distrust and hatred for each other to prepare, since auditions were tomorrow. It was definitely gonna be a long night considering none of them had actually worked on anything. The only person they knew who had actually prepared, was Austin, but he didn't really talk about it.

They all even knew who they wanted to play. Dez wanted to be the creepy, pervy Emcee, Dane Cliff and Trish Sally Bowles.

They started preparing their songs. And it was quite funny, considering none of them could sing, and eventually after they got bored, they all just fell asleep. The three decided they would just wing it. How bad could they actually be, though. Seriously?

Meanwhile, Austin and Ally were in the next room working on a song for his next album.

"I can't be away from you-"

"Away from you." Ally echoed as he sang and played.

"I promise I love you with all my heart!"

"All my heart."

They sang together beautifully. Austin was the lead and Ally provided the background vocals.

As Austin played the last few notes, he turned and looked into Ally's deep brown eyes.

"You know, Ally?"

"What, Austin?"

"You sing so beautifully," Austin spoke softly, Ally stared into his eyes and was just mesmerizes by his tender smile and his touch as he gently touched her cheek. She refrained herself from shivering at his touch. It was intimate and it spoke volumes. And then he leaned forward and kissed her soft lips gently. Ally realized in that instant that that was how she wished she could remain forever.

"Ally?" She snapped out of her fantasy.

"Wh-wha-wha... yes?" she stammered.

"I was just saying you should try out for the school musical tomorrow. Are you okay?" Austin asked seriously.

"What? Oh, uh, I don't like going out on stage and singing... I'm... I'm not that good." She chuckled and averted her gaze.

"No, you are. I want you to try out. Here. I'll help you rehearse even."

Austin pulled put a CD and a song book full of musical numbers. He handed it to Ally and she flipped through the songs. They included songs like "If You Were Gay" from Avenue Q, "The Internet is For... Porn" also from Avenue Q, and also "Wilkommen" from Cabaret. She decided upon "For Good" the final number from Wicked that she loved. She could probably sing Kristin Chenowith's part well. She had the voice for it.

Austin helped her for hours and by dawn she was ready for the audition completely.

That afternoon, at auditions, Mrs. Hannigan, the drama teacher at Marino High was waiting for Trish's audition. She was known in the school for her outlandishness and Mrs. Hannigan was very interested in how she was going to audition.

And she didn't disappoint. She had done her research and prepared herself for her role as a cabaret girl, complete with the black stockings and body-hugging clothes and the short skirt and she was basically only wearing a black bra as her top.

"Well, who do you want to try out for?" Mrs. Hannigan asked politely.

"Sally Bowles." Trish replied, trying to sound like how she figured a cabaret girl would.

"Oh. Well, I would have supposed a cabaret girl. Sally Bowles may be a cabaret girl, but in all the productions of Cabaret I've seen, Sally Bowles doesn't look as near as slutty as that. But they're all whores, so I guess it doesn't matter. Go on with your song."

Trish continued with her audition, killing Mrs. Hannigan's ears with her off-key singing. As she started off, Mrs. Hannigan clapped politely and said, "You even sound like a whore... after she's sucked too many dicks!" Mrs. Hannigan laughed as she left and Dane took the stage.

He looked very sexual as well. He wore tight black boxer briefs that displayed the size of his package and a tight white button-up with most of the buttons unbuttoned, except for the one in the middle. Mrs. Hannigan raised her eyebrows at his attire. Very... Well sexy as fuck. She would turn into a cougar for him. But she shook it off and asked him his name and who he wanted to play.

"Cliff." He said in his deep masculine voice, causing Mrs. Hannigan to shiver in excitement.

"Ooh! OK, then, um... I would have thought the two gay guys at the cabaret, Victor and what's his name. Or a cabaret guy, but hey, again, all of the characters might as well be sluts. Now sing for me." She said.

Dane sang through the song he chose, which happened to be "What Do You Do With a B.A. in English/It Sucks to Be Me" from Avenue Q. He did better than Trish at least, though he still stunk.

She, again, clapped out of politeness, nothing more, and he left.

There were several more auditionees, including Gavin, a nice guy with a nice voice and Dallas, a nice guy with not such a nice voice. They were also both very jocky and didn't seem like the type of people to be in musicals but she didn't discriminate. She accepted anyone. She knew exactly who she wanted them to play. She was going for gay rights this time, she she knew they were gonna be the gay guys. Funny stuff.

After Austin's nice audition, it was Ally's turn.

"Austin, I'm so nervous."

He grabbed her shoulders and stared into her eyes. Then he leaned in and kissed her, taking her by surprising and then she was pushed onstage.

"Hello, what's your name?" Mrs. Hannigan asked.

"Ally Dawson. I'm just trying out." She replied, nervously, but still buzzing from that kiss.

"Alright, then. The stage is yours."

"OK then..." Ally cleared her throat and began as the music started. "I've heard it said, that people come into our lives. For a reason, bringing something we must learn. And we are led, to those who help us most to grow- if we let them. And we help them in return. Well I don't know if I believe that's true but I know I'm who I am today because I knew you. Like a comet pulled from orbit, as it passes a sun. Like a stream that meets a boulder, halfway through the woods, who can say if I've been changed for the better, but, because I knew you. I have been changed for good."

She sounded amazing and Mrs. Hannigan began to cry as she stood up and applauded her. Meaning it.

"That was beautiful!" She said. "I have decided I want you to be the lead! You're going to be Sally Bowles!"

Ally walked into Sonic Boom happily and proudly. Trish ran up to her.

"How'd you do?"

"I GOT THE FUCKING LEAD!" Ally screamed. And so did Trish but for the opposite reason.

"What the FUCK?! OOH! THAT BITCH, MRS. HANNIGAN IS GONNA DIE TODAY! SHE IS SO DEAD!" Trish began marching angrily towards the school, but Ally was excited. And the kiss had made it all better.

Sorry if this chapter seemed a bit awkward, I don't have my head on right, but hopefully you all still enjoyed it. This was a more serious chapter. The next one will be a ton funnier and better written! Ideas please! And also reviews! Thanks so much!
