Percy Jackson and the Quest to Save the gods
Audria Oceanus
Percy's POV
The rest of the day went really smooth. I was relieved at the end of the night to sleep in my old cabin I've been so accustomed to. I decided to write my mom and tell her what all happened, even thought Chiron probably already called her. I wanted to tell her myself, and to tell her I was sorry. I know she really wanted me to finish the school year without an "accident," as she called it.
I sat down at my desk and wrote to my mom. I had just finished three sentences when I heard someone outside my cabin door.
I got up, walked to the door, and opened it a little, just enough so I could see who it was.
It was Annabeth, dressed in a pair of sweats and a ratty old t-shirt. In other words, I thought she looked amazing.
"Not that I'm not thrilled to see you or anything, but it's around midnight and we could get in serious trouble.." I whispered, but smiling at her because she looks scared to get caught.
"Yeah, well, I'll end up breaking the rules sooner or later." She said, starting to grin at me. "I mean, look who I'm dating."
My heart skipped a beat. I guess we are dating now. Thank the gods, I thought.
"Well, girlfriend," I said, winking at her, "do come in."
Her eyes lit up. "No, I thought you and I should go to Half Blood Hill. It's what all the couples do."
I laughed a little and she told me to hush.
She grabbed my hand and led me to Half Blood Hill. I looked up at the stars and silently thanked Zeus for making it such a clear night.
We quietly sat at the top of the hill, just enjoying each other's presence. She had her head on my shoulder and I had my arms around her. It felt so right, like it was meant to be this way.
I heard something rustle in the bushes behind where we were sitting. I could faintly see a small silhouette, that resembled a girl that was maybe 14.
"Help me, please.." The girl said.
"Annabeth, " I whispered. " There's a girl right there."
"I know that, Seaweed Brain." Yep, she's definitely awake.
"Help." The girl said again. I got up and went over to her. I could see what she looked like even though it was pitch black outside. She had black hair pulled back in a pony tail, around 5'6 probably, and she had a silver charm bracelet on that reflected the moon and shone brightly in the dark night. I caught a glimpse of one of the charms on it. A small ocean wave.
I got a look at her eyes and they were sea green, patterned like a turtles back. She had jeans on and a white t-shirt on that said, "Rosewood High School Basketball." She was holding a led pencil like it depended on her life.
"Help." She said, then collapsed in my arms. She had passed out.
I carried her to the Big House with a sleepy Annabeth walking beside me, going through all the different scenarios of how she could've gotten here.
"How did she find Camp Half-Blood?" She asked me, but mostly asked herself.
"Who knows, Annabeth, who knows."
When we got there, I knocked and Mr. D came out.
"What is it, fools?" He said, yawning.
"Um, Help! Get Chiron!" I said. Then Mr. D seemed to notice what was happening.
"Oh! Hurry, come in!" He said, gesturing for us to come in.
Chiron must've heard the commotion and walked in.
I went and set the girl on a bed and they all followed me. Chiron spoke first.
"Well, another Half-Blood apparently, since she got past the borders."
"Yeah, but who is she?" I asked, totally confused, but kind of not. I saw her eyes and her hair, and her charm bracelet. There's not another child of the Big Three, I told myself.
"I don't know." Chiron said, shaking his head. He looked troubled.
The girl coughed and opened her eyes.
"Hey, you're alright. No worries. I'm Percy Jackson. What's your name?" I spoke softly, letting her know I was a friend and not an enemy.
She squinted her eyes as she looked around and said, "I'm Audria Oceanus, Daughter of Poseidon."
