Chapter 2.

Meanwhile, Rose and Jack were searching for the latter's room.

"I can't wait to see what the TARDIS makes for you!" Rose said excitedly.

"And why's that?" Jack asked.

"Ya know how the TARDIS is bigger on the inside?"

He nodded his head, "Yeah – how does it do that anyways?"

"Search me.", Rose replied. "Anyways, the TARDIS can create any room you want. You picture the room in your head, and the TARDIS makes it real."

"Any room I want?" Jack smirked.

"Mhm,"Rose hummed, smiling.

"I can't tell you what I'm thinking right now."

Rose giggled, "I'm not sure I want to know!"

"Well-", Jack started, but was unable to finish due to the TARDIS jerking violently, sending them both to the floor.

A strange alarm was blaring, forcing them to block their ears.

"Oof!" they both exclaimed as they were thrown into a wall.

Don't panic. Rose thought to herself as she held her head. We are in the TARDIS. The TARDIS is safe. The Doctor's probably just messing with the controls or something. Yeah, controls…

Then, the TARDIS was calm; the only thing to be heard was the humming of the ship and a faint ringing in the travelers' ears.

Jack realized that he wasn't breathing, let out a loud shaky breath and turned to Rose, "What the hell was that?"

"I-", Rose swallowed a lump in her throat, "I don't know. That's never happened before." And hopefully it'll never happen again, she thought.

"Let's go find The Doctor," he stated," see if he had anything to do with what just happened."

"Yeah."

Jack stood up offering his had to Rose, which she took and nodded in thanks at. They started to walk towards the direction of the console room.

After ten minuets of walking, Jack stopped in the middle of the hallway.

"I think we're lost," he admitted, "maybe when the ship shook, it...shuffled the hallways?"

"Maybe...", Rose said. "Oh! Wait a second. I remember the Doctor told me that, if I ever got lost, I should just ask the TARDIS for help."

"So, what? We just address the interface?"

"I guess so." she uttered.

"Well then," Jack spoke, glancing at the ceiling, "TARDIS, could you please show us the way to the console room?"

The ship hummed in approval. Suddenly, a blue arrow of light appeared on the floor, pulsing down the hallway and turning right.

"Huh." Jack exclaimed. "That was easier than I thought it would be."

"C'mon," Rose chided, grasping Jack's hand and pulling him in the direction the arrow lead, "Let's go. The faster we get to the console room, the faster we know what happened."
