Percy Jackson and the Quest to Save the gods
Quest Morning
Percy's POV
After a dreamless night, I woke up to the sun peering through the windows of my cabin. I heard a noise, and at first I was startled, but then I remembered; I have a sister now. I am no longer alone in the Poseidon cabin.
"Goodmornin' sleepy head." I heard Audria say from across the room. I heard a little southern twang in her voice, remembering that she's from Alabama. I've always wanted to visit the south. I went to Tennessee once a couple of years ago, but it wasn't really a vacation. Hunting down Luke and saving Olympus from Kronos rising is not exactly a piece of cake.
"Goodmorning sis." I replied, making her smile. She has a step-sibling, but I'm sure it's nice to have some blood related. I was kind of starting to enjoy it. I've always wanted another sibling in the cabin, besides Tyson. Tyson will always be my brother, no matter who his mother is, but it was nice to have someone more like me.
Audria was already dressed in a pair of jeans and a camp T-shirt Chiron had given her.
"Ready for today?" I asked her, getting out of my bed and stretching.
She laughed which made me frown a little. "What is it?"
"Oh, nothing." She said, grinning. "You just might want to get a brush to that hair."
I reached up to feel my hair, and it did seem like it was kind of crazy. I laughed a little and walked into the bathroom, looking into the mirror to see a huge mop of black mess on my head.
"Yeah," I yelled from the bathroom. "I might need to calm this sea of black down some."
"No kidding!" I heard from the other room.
I brushed my hair down some, put a pair of jeans on, put a shirt on, and headed out the door with the Audria behind me.
I found the quest crew in the Big House playing pinochle with Mr. D and Chiron. Annabeth smiled at me as I walked in and I took the seat next to her. Audria took the seat next to Cade, who I think I saw blushing slightly. I sighed inside and took Annabeth's hand in mine, feeling her warmth.
"I still don't get it," said Audria, referring to the game. Cade then started explaining it to her while Mr. D went to go get another Diet Coke.
"You seem to have slept wonderfully." Annabeth said teasingly.
I patted my hair down and said, "Awh, man, is my hair still messed up?"
She giggled, which was ridiculously cute, and said, "Percy, didn't you think to put water on it or something?"
"You're talking to the mighty son of Poseidon!" I said, buffing up my chest. "Of course I put water on it."
Annabeth laughed and whatever'd me. I kissed her softly on the cheek and I heard Cade and Audria say, "EWWWWW!"
Everyone was laughing by then. Even Mr. D chuckled.
"Okay, so since Mr. Sleeping Beauty over here has woken up, you all can go. Argus will take you into the city, then you are on your own. And good luck, might I add." Chiron said with a huge smile on his face, but a little worry too.
"Thanks, Chiron." Annabeth said, then took my hand and walked me out with Audria and Cade behind talking about something probably totally random and NOT normal in a teenager's life. But hey, what is normal when you're a half-blood?
