The room looked nicer in the daylight, more open and smelled of dust. The dark walls making the room feel warmer. The bed looked more inviting now and slightly smaller than it had in the darkness. She could feel her muscles relax as she drifted off into sleep.

When she woke from her sleep hours had passed and the sun was slowly retreating back behind the clouds. It had been a very long time since she had slept for this long without waking up at least once. By now the club would be buzzing again with the group of bikers and the ladies that swarmed their every movement. Faith had known growing up and hearing the arguments her mother had had with Steve that they were a part of the lifestyle, a big part and one that wasn't going away. Even though every old lady knew the lifestyle they still couldn't get over it. And with good reason. But Faith had to remember she was knew, young and had absolutely no say in whatever anyone did around here. One thing she did know was that she had to get out of the shirt she had selected, the grim reaper who stood proudly on the front now had a more sinister feel knowing the man who used to wear it, will never wear this shirt ever again. "Mum I wish you was here. You'd know what to do" Faith sighed picking at the corner of the bed sheet. She hadn't spoken to her mother since the day they had left, partly because if she had, she would want to go home right away and secondly because she honestly didn't feel like she missed home. As bad as it was to admit it, home was not where her heart was. Leaving the room once again she didn't hear any music, no loud cheering, no squeals, no nothing really apart from a few hushed whispers. She had walked down this corridor several times already yet hadn't looked much at the motorbike on display in a very large glass cabinet. How fitting. The bike was a large Harley, blue with custom built elements displayed proudly in front of the American flag. This must have been an important bike to be the chosen one to be on display.

"Fay!" Faith looked up to see Lilly in the reflection in the glass.

"hey, you ok?" she wasn't usually one for hugs but she had missed her friend last night, and felt slightly bad for leaving her in such a state with a stranger.

Lilly, not one to miss out on such a rare opportunity quickly accepted the hug before the offer was revoked.

"Yeah, of course I am, are you?" Lilly pulled Faith back till she was at arm's length and narrowed her eyes.

"I'm really sorry for leaving you. I promise from now on we'll stick together" Faith smiled at her friend and felt herself relax. Being here was good for them; they were safe and not alone.

Lilly stepped away holding onto her friends hand as they entered the main area where Faith had suspected a busy group, however the place was almost deserted.

"Juice said the guys had to go somewhere, something for the club, so it's just us girls right now" Faith raised an eyebrow at the mention of Juice's name and the way Lilly had blushed when she had spoken it. "Us…girls?" Faith hoped she wouldn't be stuck in with the stripper girls that would be the last thing on earth she would want right now.

"Hey sweetie, I got your bags from your car, there behind the bar, you might wanna change your top." Faith spun around to see a woman much older than herself. The old saying 'mutton dressed as lamb' sprang to mind. She was tall, thin and looked like she had been awake for a week, yet her makeup was still immaculately in place, if not very heavy.

"Errrrm…" Faith trailed off looking at the woman's tattoos; she must be an old lady sporting ink like that. But who's?
"Gemma" the woman said lighting a cigarette and placing one of Faiths bags on the bar all in one swift move.
"Thanks" Faith went for her bag yet Gemma would not let go, instead just pulled Faith closer. They stayed like that for what felt like ages, with Gemma staring right at her through half squinted eyes; however it must have only been a second or so as no one seemed to have noticed their exchange. At least she would be able to shower and wear her own clothes.

"Lilly come with me?" Faith turned to see her friend talking to a girl who was utterly beautiful, with long tumbling blonde hair and crystal blue eyes that lost their smile as soon as she set eyes on Faith. Lilly and the woman walked over to Faith, both smiling and talking about one of the men.
The strange girl's hand stretched out to Faith very slowly as if she was going to touch her, however Faith quickly realized it wasn't her she wanted to touch, but the shirt. The girl quickly recomposed herself and smiled down at Faith who understood this woman to have some relation to Opie.

"I'm so sorry"

"Don't worry, he can't wear it, I'm Lyla"

"Hi, erm, I'm Faith, I am honestly sorry." Lyla hugged Faith quickly before she could protest and rolled her eyes at the apology given.

"Gemma's doing a family meal soon" Lyla eyed Faiths bag hinting.

"Oh, yeah, sure, Lilly?"

"Hey, so I was thinking, like we could stay a while." Lilly called so Faith could hear her through the bathroom door. She hated asking serious questions face to face, and hated asking Faith for anything.

Faith stopped showering immediately and stood under the water silently. She liked it here too, but there was something off. The people here, the life they lead, they shouldn't be so comfortable offering a home to the girls they just met. She waited for Lilly to continue, careful not to upset her friend who was becoming attached.

"I'm not saying permanently, just until we get sorted. We could find jobs around here and get a bit of money together." Lilly knew the conversation was going to be completely one sided, she knew Faith would be sceptical, but this place was so exciting. It had everything they had ever been looking for and could be a fresh start, if only her friend could give it a chance.

"Just think about it please?" Lilly quietly pleaded standing outside the door.

"You think I haven't?" by this time Faith had started brushing her hair out of her face to put in a high bun.

"Lilly, we just got here; we don't even know if they want us here. We just got to take it slowly"

Faith paused waiting for a reply but one didn't come. Guess she could finally change the subject.
"So… Juice?" Faith couldn't help smiling hearing her friend stutter trying to find some way of stringing a denial together. Getting dressed into her shorts and vest she listened to Lilly gush over Juice, how great he was but how she didn't like him like that. How he had a lovely smile, not that she had noticed. It had reminded Faith of the boys back home, and how no matter what, their friendship had come first.

"Their back" Lilly called, the excitement barely contained in her voice.

Faith came out the bathroom feeling rather underdressed. Her grey vest had faded in the wash and stretched so it almost covered her shorts. Her hair had become a wild mess in the bun with no way of controlling it. She hoped no one would be dressed up or thought she hadn't made an effort as a guest.

Lilly was at the door already holding it open for Faith making her laugh. "What!?" asked Lilly raising one eyebrow, she knew exactly what Faith was laughing about, but she didn't understand why it was funny. Juice is just a boy. That's all he was. She was just excited about seeing and talking to everyone, getting to know them. Ok, who was she trying to fool; she was excited to see Juice. She wanted to hear about his day, where he had gone, how much he liked being on the road. She wanted to see his smile and his eyes light up. Shit. She needed to stop before she got carried away. She couldn't help but laugh along with Faith who was now in hysterics. They entered the kitchen clutching their bellies and loudly laughing at the fact they couldn't stop, causing the conversation to stop immediately along with their laughter as they halted at the door. Lilly skipped off to Juices side as quickly as she could, leaving Faith awkwardly standing by herself.

"Don't just stand there hunny, give me a hand." Gemma said handing her a pile of plates to put around the tables that had pulled together to make one large one.

Gemma scared Faith, in a way only a mother can, she looked like she could easily beat the shit out of Faith with one hand behind her back. However when she looked at the boys her angry looks softened and she looked as any mother would. Very proud.

"Hey doll face, come sit down next to me" Tig had already taken the plates out of her hands and set them in the middle of the table before she could say anything. She couldn't lie, she had missed him. One thing she loved about Tig was his sense of humour. There's were similar in sarcasm and downright wrongness. So sitting next to him would take away the awkwardness of the gathering strangers.

Everyone had taken their seats with the food piled in the middle. Jax sat at the head of the table playing with his son Thomas proudly like a king. His other son, Abel, sat next to Faith on Chibb's lap. Tig sat opposite Gemma who had his full attention. Opposite Chibbs sat Juice, and opposite Faith sat the ever confusing Happy, who today was as charming as anyone else around the table. He had given Abel a toy motorbike which the child loved immediately. Faith had kept relatively quiet throughout the meal, only speaking when she was addressed; she looked at each member in turn, judging their characters. Jax was a family man, but had a lot of anger, although he hid it well, it was undeniable when he looked at Tig. Gemma was the queen; she sat proud and important keeping everyone in the conversations however looked tired and beat. It was hard to think of Chibb's being anything other than the man who Steve trusted so much as to make sure they met. This was something she had to once again make a mental note of. Not wanting the real agenda of why they were here to go under the radar, sure that there was some other reason behind wanting to know if she was safe. Steve had always been secretive but never to this extent. The meal started drawing to a close with Jax wanting to get the boys at home in bed with the help of his mother Gemma. Lyla, whose children had also attended the meal for the last hour or so, also wanted to leave to make sure the children were in bed due to school tomorrow. Faith had questioned why two of Lyla's children didn't call her mum, when the others did, when Chibb's had quietly explained that two of the children, a girl and a boy were Opie's from a previous relationship.

As people stood and gathered their items for the journey home Faith wondered if it would be just her and Lilly tonight at the clubhouse however was shocked to see happy had not moved from his seat.

"Hey Killah, make sure the girls are alright for the night?" Tig patted the snake covered man on the back who nodded up at Tig before setting his eyes on Faith who felt the gaze burn through her flesh.
