I am really, really sorry for not updating sooner. I had to go to my old state for Thanksgiving with family and I wasn't going to take my school laptop with me. X3
And the internet would not let me update! UGH!
Hope you understand.
Oh, oh, oh! I heard Ninjago was coming back and I thought it was too good to be true. That was when I saw the OFFICIAL trailer and I had gone to Wal-Mart and I bought one of the 2014 Sets this week! I CANNOT WAIT!
X3 I apologize but I had to get that out of my system. You know how butterflies are.
Part 6: Fear and Frost
Chapter 20: Fearful Battle
Date: February 13th 2043 (Still XD)
I smiled at my uncle, a smile on my face. I held a hand out to him, and helped him up. He simply stared in shock at my new form.
"Hi, Uncle."
"F-Frost...? I-Is th-that you?" I nodded. "B-But you… you're…."
I nodded again. I smiled friendly at my uncle, who simply continued to stare at my tails. I gave a soft laugh and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Uncle, go with your brothers and find shelter. I will deal with Fear." I said with a smirk on my face. I clenched my fist at Fear's name, and a swirl of icy air swelled around it, causing small crystals to form on his clothes.
"But you cannot— You have not reached your potential. You are still young."
I gave a chuckle. "I heard from a wise man that a group of five young boys got together and destroyed the most powerful overlord in the universe."
His eyes twinkled as he looked straight into my eyes.
"You have matured a lot, Frost."
"I— I know, Uncle."
I pulled him in for a quick hug before pushing him in the direction of his training brothers. I turned to see Fear climb from the rubble of the wall and snarl at me. She gave a flap of her white wings, and shot towards me, her sword held close to her body as she shifted all of her energy to her hand.
I narrowed my eyes and jumped up from the ground. The sound of water being pushed filled my ears as Fear changed her flight direction towards me. She came closer, and closer, and closer.
I twirled at the last moment, evading her blade.
I closed my eyes and let my body go limp as I started to fall towards the ground. I heard my uncle's scream as Fear came near me again. I smirked as I heard the wind whistle around her, and her growls of pure hatred. She raised her sword and stung it down to me.
It didn't hit anything but air.
I had moved at lightning speed to the side. I was in a position as though I were flying, though my small pixie wings remained crisp and useless. I blinked, and my eyes turned pure white. A feeling of pure power overwhelmed me.
I felt the fierce durability of Earth.
I felt the scorching power of Fire.
I felt the swift speed of Lightning.
And I felt the overwhelming wisdom of Ice.
A warm feeling swelled in my toes and slowly rose to my chest.
Zane's PoV
I stared in awe at my nephew as he swiftly evaded Fear's sword. He smirked and blinked.
His eyes glowed pure white when they opened.
A small glow emitted from his body, swelling up like mist from his toes up his legs to his torso.
"What's happening to him…?" Kai asked breathlessly.
"He has reached his true potential." I uttered.
His body flashed, filling the room with blinding light.
When the light disappeared, I stared at a man who could not have been my young nephew.
The man looked at least in his middle thirties. His nearly white eyes shined with determination and pride. His white hair was in a strange style. The hair on his neck seemed perfectly combed and stood up, much like mine, however, it spiked over his forehead, covering his right eye.
He wore a piece of armor that only covered his upper chest and arms, much like Kai's. It was colored dark blue, and had golden lightning bolts down the arms. He wore a white gi that waved in wind that did not exist, and his pants were the same color. The gi was tied down at his waist by a pale-blue ninja belt with icy tips. His boots and gloves were black, skin-tight and seemed to be made for hiking. He had two tails colored pure white, each ending in a long spike of ice. He had large pale blue dragon wings.
He was Frost Garmadon, Ninja of Elements.
Frost's PoV
I opened my eyes and the glowing stopped. A pulse of wind magically swept around me. I smiled as the wind turned metallic and swelled into my hand, forming the handle of a sword. The wind repeated the same thing for my left hand.
In my right hand I held a golden sword handle that was created to look like a dragon with its wings fanned out. Its left eye was pure sapphire, and the right was a bright ruby. The dragon's tail swirled down the golden pillar-designed handle, ending in an emerald spike. The handle in my right hand was the exact same thing, only with different gems in its eyes. The left eye was an icy crystal and the right was a dark piece of onyx.
All of the eyes glowed, as did the emerald tail spikes.
Suddenly, a flat blade shot out of the right dragons mouth. It gave a golden glow, and looked like it was made of pure light, though it was solid. Small orbs of soft, warm light floated away from the blade.
The same thing happened with the left sword. This blade was flat, just like the other one, only this was pure darkness. The handle looked darker than night, and evil mist colored both purple and black swelled around the blade.
I held them tightly, and smiled at how natural it felt to hold them.
Suddenly, I heard Fear's fierce battle cry, and I spiraled away from her long sword. I opened my wings and flapped towards the ceiling.
"Fear, you may live up to what you're named after, but I gain success by confronting fear itself. If you are half the person you claim to be, you will join me outside, and fight me till one of us falls."
"Frost! No!" Zane shouted. I looked down to where he and his brothers had gone. I smiled at him, and disappeared into the hole in the ceiling.
Lightning flashed, and thunder crashed through the air as I flew out. I felt the heavy drops of water slash down on me, trying to push me down to the ground. I flew away from the palace, and turned to look back. A huge crack was heard as static filled the air.
An agonizing moment passed.
Then another.
And another.
Then, as fast as the lightning in the sky, the ceiling blew off of the palace. Large chunks of rock splashed into the ground below as Fear floated above the place she once called home.
I heard the front gates to the palace open, and I saw Zane and the others rush out to see what was happening.
I glared at Fear once more, raising the light sword above my head, only to swing it down once more, dragging a trail of light in its path. I repeated my actions with the dark blade, forming an X of light and darkness. I gave one flick of my blades and the X shot towards Fear. She barley escaped the attack, and the X struck her palace.
We all watched in amazement as the tower we were once in exploded, throwing pebbles of stone and marble all across the land. Fear narrowed her eyes at me, and burst forward. I flapped my wings and shot towards the dark clouds above. I raised the dark sword to the sky, and a trail of lightning shot into it. I stared at the black blade and sparks of blue static covered it. I pointed the sword down to Fear as she flew closer.
I released the charge, and a line of pure lightning struck Fear. I shot to her and brought the light blade down on her back, using the power of Earth to force her to the ground. I shot towards her again, slashing her waist, leaving a nasty burn as I filled the dark blade with the power of Fire.
She snarled, quickly recovering. She waved her tail, forcing its long metal spike to stab into my stomach. I grit my teeth and swung the light blade at her tail, turning it into solid ice. I used the power of Earth to crack and shatter her tail. She shrieked and grasped the knife she had attached to her belt. I tried to avoid her attack, but she managed a small cut on my lower neck. I tried to stab her, but she flew back, a nasty smirk on her face.
I gasped as her eyes glowed. A sudden constricting feeling overwhelmed me. I closed my eyes. It became hard to breathe, and I struggled to remain in the sky. My hands grew shaky as the fierce power of fear swelled within me. I shook my head, trying to avoid her intense power, but it was impossible. Suddenly, my wings stopped working. I grit my teeth as I started to descend.
I heard my uncle scream my name as I fell to the ground. My quick, panicky breathing slowed and calmed. I opened my wings slowly and felt myself slow down. I wasn't far from the ground, and I saw a tall tree to my left. I forced both of my tails in its direction and jabbed the tree with the icy spikes at the tips. I heard bark split and branches broke under my weight. The fear suddenly left me, and I hacked my tails free from the tree. I flapped my wings twice and perched on the tree, staring up at the white dragon-girl who stared at me. She held her hand towards me, her palm facing me.
"Guilt, hear me. I ask for your power, for I need it to destroy this boy." She said.
Her hand suddenly began to change color. Her arm up to her elbow turned pure black, and she smirked. A sudden fireball colored dark purple shot towards me. I jumped from the tree, landing in the one to my right. I watched as the tree next to me vanished completely within a dark mist that dispelled moments later.
She repeated her actions with the tree I was in, and I hopped to the next one. I leaped again, but Fear quickly changed her aim. She shot a fireball at the tree I had just landed in.
I flapped my wings, desperately trying to free myself from the balls of energy.
I felt a searing burn grow on my tail tips and my toes. I narrowly avoided another ball as it scrapped one of my belt straps. I flew up into the storm clouds above, certain that she could not see me.
I peaked my head out of the clouds and saw her searching for me. I heard the faint crackle of electricity gathering to form a lightning bolt. I pointed the dark blade to Fear, closing one eye for better accuracy. I felt the static gather, and a jet of electricity burst from my sword, striking Fear. I dove to her and slammed my light sword into her stomach, using the power of Earth.
I flew away from her, and then repeated my actions. I heard her snarl, and she aimed a ball of dark energy at my next location. I struggled to avoid it, and felt the scorch of the ball as it grazed my cheek. She rushed at me as I tried to regain my balance.
She did a front flip in the air, bringing her spiked heel down on my head. The spikes weren't long, and only caused a scratch as though claws had dragged down my head.
She grasped me by the neck and pinned me to the nearest tree.
She held her right hand right over my chest. I felt the wind twitch as a small black orb formed in her palm.
"Frost!" Uncle Zane screamed in the distance. Fear laughed, staring straight at my icy eyes.
"Any last words?" Fear sneered.
I swallowed and stared at Fear's bright blue eyes.
"I didn't think so. No little boy from an old prophecy is going to defeat me or my master."
Wait…. The prophecy.
Fore once he discovers his swords potential shall he stand a chance against the darkness.
I glanced to my hand. I gripped my sword firmly and did the same with my other hand. I gave a shout as I forced the blades into the tree behind me. Fear stared at the tree, and I heard the creaking of wood.
Seconds later, the tree burst into millions of splinters. I flipped, kicking Fear's chin.
I smirked and pointed my blades at Fear. I closed my eyes and felt myself become calm.
"Ninja, please hear my plea. I require your powers so that I may banish the evil that dwells in this land."
I opened my eyes and saw the dragons eyes on my handles glow brightly. I put the blades close to each other and felt them fill with power. I narrowed my eyes at Fear as a small orb of pure light grew at my swords tip.
"Any last words?" I asked with a smirk.
She stared in horror at the orb that grew in size. She flickered her eyes at mine.
"I didn't think so." I said.
A beam of light burst from my blades, shooting right towards Fear with frightening speed. The light flashed right through her stomach, and she gave a shriek. I was forced through the air from the fierce power that had burst from my blades. Fear opened her wings as they slowly disintegrated into the air. Her feet and arms soon followed, until her whole body finally vanished.
I crashed into the ground.
I heard four sets of feet splashing in the muddy ground run to me.
"Frost. Frost!" My uncle shouted frantically.
I smiled and slowly opened my icy eyes, staring at his.
"Hey, uncle." I whispered, trying to sound casual.
"Frost, you're hurt…." Kai stated, his eyes on the stab wound in my stomach. I chuckled faintly.
"It—It is nothing…. When do…. We return to Ninjago and face…. Guilt?"
"You're kidding right?" Cole shouted in surprise.
"N-no." I said as I tried to sit up. Zane forced me down.
"You are staying in a room where you can heal." The Ninja of Ice said sternly.
"Yeah, try to defeat one evil lord at once!" Jay exclaimed. I sighed.
"One night. I will rest one night, then we return to Ninjago." I growled.
The Ninja all looked to each other, then nodded.
"Fine." Kai mumbled.
I nodded, pleased with the news.
I will fight Guilt tomorrow.
The Final Battle was coming….
Meanwhile, back in Guilt's castle….
Searing pain struck the evil lord of Ninjago. He cringed, leaning on a wall for support.
This could only mean one thing….
Fear was defeated.
"Lord! Are you ok?" Came a worried female voice. The female put her soft hand on Guilt's shoulder.
"Yes. Get ready to fight, my dear. It is nearly time to battle against him."
"I hear you constantly refer to your rival as him, but I never hear a name."
"It is none of your concern. He is merely a thorn at my side, one that will be plucked fairly easily in his condition."
"But what if he is not so easily defeated? What will become of you?"
Guilt stared up at the red, hypnotized eyes of his partner.
"That is not a problem. You need not worry, I will destroy that worm, dear Milla."
Dun, dun, DUN! The end is coming! I have decided to write a story of Asuna and Lloyd. It won't be a sequel so much as a 'just happens' story, unless of course you would like it to be like a sequel to Guilty Escape. (Though that would be confusing, considering the story would happen before Chasm of Nightmares, so technically it would be a prequel to everything X3)
Either way, the story shall be written. Do not worry, I shall tell you the title soon. I will start typing now, but I wont upload until this story is done.
I was also kind of depressed because I had heard Ninjago was returning December 18th, but it is NOT. Oh well, guess we have to be patient just as Sensei Wu said.
In the meantime, enjoy the snow and your hot coco! :3
