This place was completely different from they'd been. There weren't many things, and there wasn't even a window, but something told Steve this was no ordinary cell. There wera some chairs, and they were very fancy, made from a material Steve couldn't recognize. He looked around him and saw only a figure dressed in black on the floor. One moment… He knew that figure.

"Loki!"

He ran to the man, but Loki was unconscious. Steve tried to wake him up, but couldn't. Great. So he was in an unknown place, trapped in a locked room that didn't seem from Earth and the only one who could have a clue as to where they were was unconscious. Just great. He changed his mind and decided to try to be positive. Focus on the situation. Steve deposited deposited the limp god in a nearby chair and he sat in another.

"Whoever you are, this is not funny! Release us!" He screamed into the room with the hope that they were being watched.

The sound awoke Loki, but the world was blurry. The Captain's blue eyes were in front of him, asking him if he was all right. He wasn' hurt, he wanted to sleep, or die, and the pain still clouded his mind. He didn't know why he was on the floor.

But he recognized the place.

"This… This…" He wanted to tell him something, something important about that place, but couldn't.

"Loki?"

He almost smiled at the mortal, knowing where they had landed.

"This could be good…"

"Where are we? Is this Asgard?"

Loki nodded weakly, tried to find the words. Think. Talk. The Captain was their best chance at getting out of there.

"It is a place of Asgard known only to very... few people." He started, weakly. "But this could work to our advantage. Is the lair of the sorcerer Eldmar."

"An enemy?" Steve asked.

"A sore loser. Older than me, but less skilled, and he hated me for being better."

He wasn't a real threat, he could easily trick the man with a few sentences in the correct order. Lies were his thing, and Eldmar would believe all the ones he said. It would be easy.

"What do you think he'll do with us?"

"I don't know. Maybe I can convince him to let you go."

Steve frowned, not liking what Loki had just said. Not a bit.

"And leave you here, alone with a man that probably wants you dead – no way."

But now was not the time for Rogers' heroisms. There were other things that were more important.

"Captain, I…."

But they were interrupted by the enemy – Eldmar, in the flesh. He was a middle aged blond man who wore a golden and grey outfit and had dark blue eyes. There was malice written all over his expression , and Steve suddenly knew that this man had killed before and would continue doing unless he was stopped.

"Loki" the man started. "Finally in the place where you should have always been. At my mercy."

Loki threw him a condescending to forget about the pain and start acting. Start talking- The sooner he could outsmart the man the better it would be for everyone.

"If you had put the same effort you put to sabotage me to put improving your skills you wouldn't have needed to take me out."

"And who is this?" Eldmar said, looking at Steve. The soldier was protectively standing in front of Loki. That man was not going to hurt him, not while he was around. He would have to go through Steve first if he wanted to do something. Loki kept speaking, trying to ignore the fog in his mind, the headache, the sharp pain in his stomach. Now was not the time to show weakness.

"A warrior from Midgard, from the very place you took me, who, if you are smart, you will return immediately."

Loki's tone left no room for doubt, but Eldmar just arched an eyebrow.

"Now, why would I do that?"

"Because if you don't Midgard's most dangerous warriors will hunt you down and finish you. If something bad happens tothe Captain then, trust me, there will be no spell to save you from their wrath."

The sorcerer just shook his head, unconvinced.

"Sorry, Captain. I'm afraid you'll have to stay because if I let you go you could alert Thor and I really –really don't want him to know that it was me."

"You are making a mistake, Eldmar" Loki said, matter-of-factly. "This wasn't part of the plan. You are making a mistake and you know it."

"SILENCE!" The man said, and with a movement of his hand Loki's lips were sewn shut. Loki was panicking, trying to this again. Please, not this again. Eldmar had chosen his punishment wisely, as words were Loki's biggest weapon. And now he couldn't, and he could hardly breathe. Damn. The stupid man was winning. And Loki hated it. But he had to be strong. He was not going to let Eldmar see how much he was hurting. No. Never.

"Brings back painful memories, does it not? Well, get used to it, because I will not listen to any more of your lies. And, yes, this was part of the plan, to have you dying and without magic. After everything, after all that you have done, now your life is my hands, trickster, and when you're gone everybody would compliment my magic."

Steve was glaring at him.

"And you, mortal. I will not harm you, but I won't let you go either – not until Loki is dead. I imagine that he has… three days to live, perhaps? Maybe two? And then I will return you to your world after erasing your memories, like I did with him. That way nobody in Midgard will have reason to seek me. Now, I've had enough of the both of you even move an inch, Loki, I will know and I will come for you. Enjoy your agony."

And with a smirk he left. The situation looked quite dire, to tell the truth. They were trapped, without any sort of weapon and no means of communication – no one knew they were there, and they couldn't get out. And at the hands of a man that wanted to see Loki die painfully. It seemed a hopeless situation. But then Steve remembered that Loki had said something about this place being a good thing, there had to something they could do.

Pity that Loki couldn't exactly talk right now and his eyelids were drooping. It was just all too much. He didn't care anymore, he would let himself fall into the darkness – what was the point of fighting, anyways? Steve searched the place for something to cut the wire in Loki's mouth or something for him to write with, for couldn't find anything. This was bad.

Getting through the fog on his mind for a moment, Loki told the Captain to get closer. He knew a way to communicate, and right now it was essential. He had to get the message through before he passed out, and he could feel the darkness on the corner of his eyes. He took one of the Captain's big hands and softly started drawing letters on the back with one of his fingers. Maybe he was lost, but the soldier didn't have to go with him. He'd shown him kindness on SHIELD, now it was the time to repay the favour.

"What… oh, you're writing! Of course! S….e….secret?"

Loki nodded and continued.

"T….u…. tunnel? There's a secret tunnel? Amazing! But why would there be a tunnel on a prison?"

Loki pointed at himself.

"You put it here? Well done then, friend. Lucky you did."

Loki took the hand again and continued writing.

"Y….you…es…escale? Escape, of course, escape. Yes, I escape, and you with me."

Loki shook his head. Eldmar didn't care about the Captain- but he cared about him. If he left the sorcerer would be alerted and then nobody would be able to escape. Besides, he didn't the strength to remain awake, much less walk through the tunnels to his room in the court. He wouldn't last, only cause problem's to the one man that could leave. He felt the darkness threaten him as he wrote another word.

"Burden." Steve said. "No way, Loki, I can't leave you here! I'll carry you in my arms if it's necessary."

"He…will…know…find…me."

Steve didn't know what to do. Of course, he didn't want to stay there, in a prison cell, with no food and… No. He couldn't leave him there, no way. It was important. But he also understood that this was the best chance they had – if he left alone. If Loki left, then Eldmar would come after them, because he was being watched, controlled. But the sorcerer hadn't even known who Steve was or why he was here, so there was probably no spell watching him. Which was good. He could run, ask for help. Maybe come back with someone else to get Loki out. Yes, that sounded good.

"All right, I'll get out, find help and come back for you. No buts. I can go home after saving you just the same. "

Loki wrote "No help" and "Asgard hate". Meaning he thought Steve wasn't going to get any help because all of Asgard hated him. Well, Steve wasn't ready to give up so soon.

"I'll find someone, I'm sure. I'm not leaving you here."

Loki wrote "escape" one last time on the man's hand and directed him to the entrance of the tunnel. He looked at him one last time. His only hope. Steve looked into his eyes, optimistic. They would get out. This was the beginning of the end, he was sure. The beginning of the solution. He left the room and ran through the dark tunnel. Ran through the unknown tunnel, because there wasn't time. Because he had just left someone in a very vulnerable position, in a very bad place. He had to be quick. And hope, hope, for Loki to be wrong, hope that someone would help, because he didn't know anything about this place, he was completely lost without Loki. Maybe this had been a bad idea. But even if it was, it was too late now.

This plan had to work.

Loki lay on the corner of the cell, and closed his eyes. He tried to ignore the pain in his mouth, tried to ignore the tears at the thought of being silenced. He vaguely wondered if this was the end. If the Captain would be succesful. If he would get out alive. He closed his eyes and fought against the pain. But it was stronger than him.

When he Steve re-emerged on what he imagined had once been Loki's bedroom, he heard thunder.

Good.

A/N: This is so different from the rest of the chapters... Hope you enjoyed anyways! I know the lips-sewn-shut thing has been done a thousand times, but I had never done it and felt that someone from Asgard would know better than to let Loki talk his way out. Avengers will be back next chapter, and some more Asgard. Reviews are love! You know you want to review!
