Chapter 14 No food

Evelyn's POV

The days that I had my brother and his friends in my home were interesting to say the least. i was no longer alone and bored with my routine life. I had people to cook for, to joke with, to just talk to about life again. It was like having a big family and I enjoyed it.

I hadn't realized how much I had missed Raven. Now that we were back together, I had a sister again for all that girl talk you miss out on when you are alone. Like the talk about clothes and boys. Which really brings me to my biggest struggle with having everyone in my home.

There were too many adolescent boys. I mean seriously, these idiots walk into a room without knocking, leave the seat up, don't bathe regularly and to top it all off it's Havoc and banshee's favorite past time to stare at my breasts. Sure I guess they are big but guys, you are NEVER going to get near these babies so stop fucking teasing yourselves! Otherwise I may rip out your eyes, and shove them in each others pants.

Though there is one guy I wouldn't mind catching while he stared at my breasts. It would at least let me know Erik was a bit more interested in me. I mean come on. That man is extremely good looking and has an awesome power. He also has a tough exterior, but I can tell he cares deeply about his beliefs.

When we talked about our stands on certain ideals, I would catch this glimmer in his eyes, that is just... passionate. There was more to Erik than the gruff exterior, there was pain and love, that hardened his heart due to misfortune, and unlike Charles I didn't need my mutation to figure that out. I digress though.

So here I was rummaging through the fridge, which I had only stocked three days ago full of food, and found nothing to eat, and when I say nothing, I don't mean "Damn now I have to cook," nothing. I mean "there is actually no food in this damn fridge," nothing. I slammed the door to the fridge shut and pouted for a moment before sitting on the ground in front of it. I was hungry and pissed that now I had to go to the store.

I heard a set of footsteps behind me and smiled slightly as I tilted my head back. "Yes Erik?"

"Why are you sitting in front of the refrigerator?" he asked me with this adorable cute and confused look on his face.

I pouted at that. He just had to remind me. "We are out of food and I'm hungry." and then he laughed at me.

Erik's POV

These past few days have actually been really nice. Evelyn made us all feel at home, but I could tell the boys were bothering her. They constantly walked in on her while she was shut up in her room. Left the seats up so that even Raven complained, and they wouldn't stop staring at Evelyn's breasts. That is not that I noticed how nicely proportioned and plump they were, or how they complimented the rest of the curves on that sculpted body of hers either.

I have also stopped censoring my thoughts. I can't help being male and if Charles doesn't like it he doesn't need to listen. After all it not like I acting upon them. Although a couple times I did have to stop myself from pinning the petite girl to a wall.

We had quite a bit in common, and I really enjoyed talking to her. Unlike Charles who allowed me to think, and challenged my ideas, Evelyn had this sense of understanding. Like she could see a deeper part of me, which was a bit frightening.

I thought about this as I made my way to grab a bite to eat, but what I found instead was the woman who took over my thoughts, sitting on the ground in front of the refrigerator. I couldn't wrap my mind around why she was there.

Evelyn smiled slightly as she tilted her head back and looked at me. "Yes Erik?"

"Why are you sitting in front of the refrigerator?" I asked her with completely confused look on my face.

Evelyn had this cute pout on her face as she looked at me. "We are out of food and I'm hungry."

I couldn't help but laugh at that. "You mean no meals?"

She shook her head at me in utter despair. "No I mean there is physically no food in the fridge. Those..." She paused thinking of some sort of insult. "Animals ate it all! And I only just went shopping the other day." Evelyn then laid back on the tile, with that same cute pout.

I chuckled at her and shook my head a bit. "Then lets go." I was starving after all and it sounded nice to get out of the mansion. Plus some alone time away from a certain prying mind reader sounded really nice.

Evelyn looked at me with this perplexed expression. "You want to go shopping for food with me?"

"I don't see why not, so are we going?" I asked her smugly.

A huge grin spread across her face, as Evelyn shot up. "Just give me a moment, to change." She said bounding off to her room.
