But I guess that by the time you see this, it'll have been quite some time.
X-X-X
I let out a deep breath as I closed my locker filled with my school books.
I had survived the first horrendous day of school.
I shook my head and laughed at my exaggeration before slipping my bookbag over my shoulder. I walked through the hallways as I thought of all that had happened that day…
Bumping into Saria… getting new friends… meeting the baddies of the school… science class… algebra class… Japanese class…
I sighed as I remembered how the only thing I knew in Japanese was "Konichiwa." I had to get a tutor or something because I already knew that I would fail.
"Why did I even sign up for Japanese? Oh, that's right! I wanted to know a ton of languages for no reason!" I groaned as I facepalmed. "I guess that I have to-"
My rant was cut short as I felt myself ram into what felt like a brick wall. I began to fall backwards when someone suddenly caught my forearms. I sighed with relief as I looked up to thank the person.
"Oh, thank you very-"
I froze as I stared into familiar red-brown eyes.
Ganondorf.
"T-thanks…uh, G-Ganondorf," I stuttered and then realized that he still held my arms. The Gerudo grinned at me… and this was not a "I'm a niceperson" smile, this was a "I'm a creepy person" smile.
"It's no trouble at all," He said in a deep baritone voice. "What did you say your name was?"
"Uh oh…" I thought. "You're never supposed to tell some creeper your name... but if I don't tell him, he'll know that something is up!"
"… Zelda," I responded and immediately regretted my answer. "Why didn't I tell him that my name was Aviel or Romani or something other than my real name?!"
Ganondorf smiled that creepy smile again. "Zelda. What a gorgeous name… a beautiful name for a beautiful lady, hm?"
I laughed nervously as he continued to grin down at me. He opened his mouth to say something else, when I suddenly heard someone call my name.
"Hey, Zelda!"
I had never been so glad in my life to hear my name being called!
I looked down the hallway and almost sighed in relief at seeing Link push past a group of people to get to me. When he finally came up beside me, he smiled cheekily at Ganondorf and said, "I'm sorry, Ganny, but the principal would like to speak with Zelda… so I kindly advise that you let go of her before Principal Shadow gets angry for the delay." The Gerudo glared at Link and released my arms, but not without a wink thrown my way.
I threw myself in Link's arms, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
I looked up to see that his gaze was still on Ganondorf's retreating form. "He shouldn't be talking to you…" He said, narrowing his eyes. "But I'm okay now, thanks to you!" I reminded him. Link looked back down at me and smiled a truly kind smile.
"Actually, you should thank Impa."
"Impa?"
"The principal."
"Wait… that wasn't a fake excuse?"
"Nope. She wants to know if you would like to come to a little party that the gang and I are having at Sheik's house."
"A… party?" I had never really liked parties that much, especially when things get too crazy. "Don't worry," Link assured me. "Like I said, it'll only be my people and me." I giggled at his way of referring to our friends.
"I'll ask my father..." I texted him a quick message about our get-together. "He said yes!" I told Link. He smiled and said, "Great! Let's get going!"
