BEST FRIEND
The First Date

Remus hated how nervous he was for his date. Sirius was his best friend. Why was he so nervous to see him?

They'd been through so much, and they were more comfortable with each other than an old married couple, but this was new territory for them, and Remus felt like he was going to throw up from the nerves. He flattened his hair down and stared at his reflection.

He wished he was more handsome. He wished he was taller, more muscular. He wished his hair didn't always fall into his eyes. He wished his eyes didn't crinkle up when he smiled. He wished his teeth were straighter and that he wasn't so thin. He wished his skin wasn't so pale, and that he had no scars on his body.

Stop, he told himself sternly. Sirius likes me for me.

Remus grinned at the thought and instantly regretted it because his reflection just looked stupid grinning. He seriously wondered what Sirius saw in him.

He turned away from the mirror and took a deep breath, before opening the door. Sirius was sitting on the edge of his bed. He looked up to see Remus and his eyes widened.

"Merlin," Sirius said quietly, standing up. "You look-"

"-I don't," Remus said, blushing. Sirius stepped towards him and smiled.

"You look amazing, Rem," Sirius said, pulling him in for a hug. Remus smiled and hugged Sirius back, inhaling his scent and smiling at how good it made him feel.

"Thank you," Remus mumbled as they parted. "You look pretty amazing yourself."

"Well, duh."

Remus rolled his eyes and smiled fondly. "You're so big-headed."

Sirius leaned forwards so that his mouth was next to Remus's ear. "I'm also big dicked," he whispered, winking at Remus as he stood up straight again.

Remus cleared his throat, trying desperately not to blush. The way Sirius whispered made a shiver run down Remus's spine.

"Anyway!" Remus said quickly. "Shall we get going?"

"Of course," Sirius replied, holding his hand out for Remus to take. With a grin, Remus entwined his fingers with Sirius's and they left the dormitory for Hogsmeade.

##

Half an hour later, Remus was standing in the middle of Hogsmeade with his hand still connected to Sirius's. His hand was feeling sweaty, but he didn't want to let go.

"So, where would you like to go?" Sirius asked, smiling at Remus. Remus scanned the street and his eyes landed on a restaurant hidden in the corner. He wasn't sure if he'd ever been inside before.

"Let's go there," he said, pointing at the restaurant.

"How comes I've never seen this place?" Sirius asked. Remus shrugged.

"Neither have I."

They walked towards the door and opened it. A bell rang as the door opened and they were greeted by the face of a very cheerful waiter.

"Hello!" he said excitedly, glancing between Sirius and Remus. "Welcome to The Hidden Treasure."

"Is this place new?" Remus asked him curiously. The man grinned once more.

"The Hidden Treasure is a family-owned business. It's been in my family for centuries. One can only see our restaurant if they are with their soulmate."

Remus glanced at Sirius and he felt like his heart was about to jump straight out of his chest. Soulmates? Sirius had the same expression on his face.

"Surely you don't get a lot of business then, if most people can't see it."

"Ah, most couples who eat here decide that they want to come back regularly," the waiter said. "Can I get you two gentlemen a table?"

"Of course," Remus said.

"Follow me!" The waiter said, walking towards a table for two in the corner of the restaurant. There was quiet music playing, and Remus noticed that the restaurant smelt very nice. He couldn't quiet put his finger on what the smell was, but it smelt amazing anyway.

"Smells like you in here," Sirius said to Remus.

Remus sniffed and grinned. Yes, he thought. I know exactly what this smell is. Sirius.

"They must be using Amortentia in here," Remus said. "I can smell you."

"I love when you grin like that," Sirius said, resting his elbows on the table, and his head on his hands, and staring into Remus's eyes.

"Really? I think it makes me look ridiculous," Remus admitted, blushing at the way Sirius was looking at him. He still couldn't believe this was really happening.

"Your smile is probably the best thing I've ever seen in my life," Sirius said.

"What can I get for you two this afternoon?" The waiter asked.

"Is there a menu?" Remus asked.

"We serve everything," the waiter replied. "Whatever you feel like eating, we'll get it for you."

"In that case," Sirius said, rubbing his hands together. "I want a plate of those things me and you had that time when we went to that Muggle place," he said, looking at Remus excitedly.

Remus raised his eyebrows. "You'll have to be more specific."

"You know," Sirius said. "Where we saw the fish and we played those weird Muggle games where you can win teddy bears. Near the beach!"

"You mean Brighton?" Remus asked.

"I think so."

"You want a plate of doughnuts Sirius, really?" Remus looked amused.

"If doughnuts are those round things covered in sugar that are all hot and delicious then yes," Sirius grinned.

"He'll have a plate of doughnuts," Remus said to the waiter, shaking his head in disbelief. "For lunch, Sirius? You're one of a kind. I'll have, er... pizza, I guess."

"Pizza and doughnuts coming right up! What topping would you like?"

"I'll just have margarita, please."

"And can I get you any drinks?"

"Two Firewhiskeys," Sirius said before Remus could respond.

The waiter bustled away hurriedly, leaving Remus and Sirius alone again. Sirius grinned at Remus.

"You're going to drink some today."

"But-"

"-No buts."

"Fine," Remus said. "But you better not get drunk."

"Why not?" Sirius said with a smirk.

"You've told me on a number of occasions that you get horny when you're drunk."

"I'm horny right now," Sirius said quietly, rubbing his foot up and down Remus's leg under the table. He leaned across the table and stared into Remus's eyes. "And guess what, Rem?"

Remus bit his lip and started playing with the tablecloth. "What?" he replied.

"I have a boner right now," Sirius whispered. "Because of you."

Remus grabbed a napkin and 'accidentally' dropped it onto his lap to hide the fact that what Sirius had just said had just turned him on. A lot.

"Oh damn," Sirius said, dropping his fork onto the floor. "I dropped my fork. I'd better go and pick it up."

He got out of his chair and crawled under the table. Remus wasn't sure what he was expecting, but he certainly wasn't expecting to feel Sirius's hand unbuttoning his jeans. The tablecloth was hiding Sirius from view of any onlookers, and Remus was very tempted to just let Sirius continue.

He sat as casually as he could, leaning his elbows in the table and trying to keep the blush from his cheeks. He felt Sirius pull the zip down and Remus let out a gasp as Sirius's hand made contact with his cock.

Remus grabbed his fork and started tapping it on the table. Act normal, act normal.

He felt Sirius stroking him up and down, and he knew he was getting harder and harder in Sirius's hand. The idea that they were doing this in the middle of a restaurant turned Remus on much more than he cared to admit.

"Two Firewhiskeys!" the waiter said, making Remus jump.

"Th-thank you!" Remus piped up, with an unusually high voice.

"Where's the boyfriend?" the waiter asked.

"Bathroom."

The waiter nodded and walked away.

Remus sighed and leaned back in his chair, thrusting up into Sirius's hand. He couldn't believe how good it felt to have Sirius down there. He didn't want it to stop.

Until it did. Remus desperately wanted him to continue, but it was as though Sirius wasn't even under the table anymore.

He was about to 'drop his fork', to check that Sirius was still there, before he felt warm breath on his skin. He closed his eyes and swallowed.

He felt a tongue flick across the tip of his cock, making it twitch with pleasure. Remus couldn't stop himself from thrusting. Damn you, Sirius. Stop teasing me.

Sirius licked up the shaft slowly, swirling his tongue around the top, and then licked back down again. Without any warning, he took the whole thing in his mouth.

Remus couldn't help the gasp he let out when he realised that Sirius was actually giving him a blowjob.

"Oh god," he moaned, embarrassingly loudly.

He reached under the table and grabbed Sirius's head. He started thrusting into Sirius's mouth, not even caring now that they were in a public place. The feeling of his cock being in Sirius's mouth was better than anything he'd ever experienced before. The wetness surrounding it, and the warmth of his breath.

He pulled out, panting. He was so hard now, and he could feel Sirius jerking him off, his hand sliding up and down easily now that his dick was all wet.

Remus's forehead was lined with sweat now and his heart was beating fast. He knew he was almost there. A few more strokes and...

"I want you to cum in my mouth," he heard Sirius whisper from under the table.

Stop, stop, stop, Remus told himself angrily. This is a first date, STOP.

But it feels sooo good, another part of him said.

This should be something I should save, he thought. STOP.

The internal argument that was going on in his head was driving him crazy.

"S-s-stop S-Sirius," he said shakily.

Sirius's head appeared from under the tablecloth and he looked up at Remus with flushed cheeks. "Why?" he asked.

"Because," Remus panted. "We shouldn't."

"Did I do something you didn't like?" Sirius sounded worried now, and Remus laughed.

"No," he said. "That was amazing. I just think, you know, this is our first date. Maybe we're moving a bit fast."

Sirius sighed and disappeared under the table once more. Remus felt Sirius zip and button up his jeans again, and a second later Sirius was sitting back in his chair.

"So, Rem," Sirius said, as though nothing had happened. "Tell me a bit about yourself."

Remus laughed and shook his head.

##

"So how was your first date?" James asked them when they walked back into the dormitory that night. Sirius and Remus glanced at each other and blushed furiously.

"On the first date?" James asked in shock. "You two are gross."

"We didn't!" Sirius said.

"I don't want to know! LA LA LA LA LA!"

"Don't want to know what?" Peter asked from the other side of the room. Remus hadn't even noticed Peter being there.

"Whether we had sex on the first date," Sirius said.

"LA LA LA LA LA LA LA!" James yelled, with his fingers in his ears.

"Sex?" Peter asked, looking confused. "You? Remus?"

"He doesn't know," Remus whispered to Sirius, who nodded.

"Well, Wormy," Sirius said. "Just so you know. Me and Remus are-"

"-Remus and I," Remus corrected.

"Remus and I are a couple now."

Peter stared at them open-mouthed.

"And that's all we need to know," James interrupted. "We don't need all the gory details."

"Like how I crawled under the table earlier and-"

"-LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA!"

Remus grinned. He could get used to this. Maybe falling in love with his best friend wasn't such a bad thing after all.
