AN. HEY! I'M BACK! FINALLY! I'm so so so so so so sorry it took so long to update. I've been all over the place lately. I promise I'll try better to update more often… So this is the last chapter of "Only Time Will Tell" :( BUT there will be a sequel and it will be called "A New Beginning." Thank you all SO MUCH for all the favourites, follows and reviews. They all mean so much to me 3 ! I REALLY hope you like this chapter and the sequel!... ENJOY!

Valkyrie's POV

Time ticks by slowly as Jonathan and I pace nervously outside the bathroom as we wait for Skulduggery to emerge. He went in ten minutes ago to take the potion to turn him human and has not said a word, has not made a sound and has not come out.I chew my lip and look at my watch again for the hundredth time. Since I checked it last thirty seconds have ticked by yet it feels so much longer.

Suddenly the locks clicks indicating Skulduggery has unlocked the door. It very slowly opens with a light creak and out steps Skulduggery Pleasant in the flesh… literally. He looks just as he did all those years ago before we died. He has a long scar running from above his left eye down his temple, cheek, neck and ends at his left collar bone. I remember about a year before we died he came home for a few days and I saw the very same scar he received during the war. He feared I'd be disgusted but instead I found it more attractive… me being me and all… He's wearing a pair of Gorgon's tracksuit bottoms and shirts. I knew his suit specially made for him as a skeleton wouldn't fit him when he was human again.

I jump up and hug him immediately and just as quick he wraps his strong arms around me. I pull back slightly and smash my lips to his and after some time when it begins to get serious Jonathan clears his throat, "Could you two please wait until I'm not present? That would be wonderful!"

Skulduggery and I roll ours eyes smiling widely. "Fine fine…" Skulduggery says wrapping an arm around my waist and pulling me close. We walk over to our son we both hug him tightly. "Thank you my boy," I hear Skulduggery whisper in Jonathan's ear.

Jonathan waves off the thank you smiling "Think nothing of it dad. I'm just so happy to be with you both again."

"Words cannot describe how happy we are to have you back, sweetheart," I say as we hug him again.

"We should celebrate!" Skulduggery shouts suddenly. "We'll invite Ghastly, Tanith, Erskine, Anton, Dexter, Fletcher and Gordon and we'll have a huge feast and drinks."

"But I won't be having any drinks," I pout.

He kisses me cheerily saying, "No you won't because you are having my baby!" He rubs my belly. I smile nodding. Jonathan chuckles.

"I'll go call everyone," he says leaving to get Skulduggery and I some time alone.

Skulduggery's POV

Two hours later everybody is around the dining room table eating pizza. We are laughing and having fun. They are delighted about Jonathan and the new baby (but not as much as me) and everything is perfect.

And what's better is now that I am human again, Valkyrie and I can have many more children!

I haven't been as happy as I am now in so long.

Nothing could ruin this night.

But I spoke too soon.

There's a knock on the front door and Valkyrie and I go to it to see who it is. There's no one there but there is a note addressed to Valkyrie on the door step. Me being as protective of Valkyrie as I am, I step in front of her and pick it up so she won't have to strain herself bending down. She takes it from my hands rolling her eyes and reads it.

She pales. Her eyes widen and her jaw drops. Her hands visibly shake.

I take the note off of her and read…

Well, well Valkyrie… Skulduggery is human again… you have your son back… and now you're having another child. You must be so happy. Well not for long… enjoy them while they last… you're mine and mine only and I will have you if it's the last thing I do.
