Hey… Yeah I'm not dead surprisingly. I've just been hella busy because of school and work and sickness and life and stuff. But hey an update! Yay! Have some pie like all of it! I feel so bad for not updating in forever.

I don't own the mortal instruments or its characters Cassandra Clare owns em' all.

"Is something wrong with the pool?" Alec asked, "Because if there is I can fix it."

"No, no there's nothing wrong with the pool," Magnus said laughing a little. "I just wanted to ask you something."

"What is it?" Alec asked

"Well I was wondering…" Magnus said, smiling at Alec, "if you wanted to go out… with me?"

"Are you asking me out on a date?" Alec asked, shock spreading over his features, "Are you being serious?" Magnus could hear the panic in Alec's voice. "If you're not being serious and if this is all a joke, it's not funny!" Alec was shaking and the colour had drained out of his face.

Magnus placed a hand on Alec's knee and Alec froze. "Just calm down Alec," Magnus said softly, rubbing Alec's knee soothingly.

Alec looked up at Magnus and he saw a light blush across the blue-eyed boy's cheeks. "Sorry," Alec whispered, "it's just you're joking and I'm just making myself look stupid and…"

"Alec," Magnus said. "I'm not joking."

Alec's eyes widened, "You're serious you're asking me out on a date?"

Magnus nodded, "Yep."

Alec smiled and blushed.

"So what do you say?" Magnus asked. "Do you want to go out on a date with me?"

"Yes, I want to go on a date with you…" Alec said, smiling. "But I can't," Alec's smile dropped and he looked away.

"Why can't you?" Magnus asked.

"I'm really busy," Alec mumbled.

"We can find a day and time that suites you," Magnus said. "I don't really mind."

Alec shook his head, "I don't know…" he sounded uncertain.

"Come on…" Magnus said, smiling. "When are you free?"

"Well I'm not really free at all," Alec said, rubbing the back of his neck looking embarrassed.

"Are you sure?" Magnus asked, hoping that it wasn't true.

"Well…" Alec mumbled, "I'm free tonight…"

"Really!" Magnus asked, perking up.

"Yeah at like eight thirty, but I've got to do homework and stuff…" Alec said.

"We could do our homework together or something," Magnus suggested. "It could be like a study date and we could get to know more stuff about each other before we go on like a proper date."

"I don't really know…" Alec mumbled looking around the empty hallway.

"C'mon," Magnus said, knocking Alec's shoulder with his own. "I can come to your place if you want."

"Um… I don't know," Alec mumbled.

"Or you could come to mine…" Magnus said hopefully.

Alec sighed, "You can come over to mine I guess."

"Really?" Magnus asked, "because if you're just saying that to get rid of me I'll be sad."

"No!" Alec said loudly. He lowered his voice, "I want you to come over it's just that I'm afraid you'll think my house is lame."

"It's alright Alec I won't think that your house is lame" Magnus said smiling brightly.

Alec gave Magnus a small smiled, "Okay I'll see you at eight-thirty I guess."

"I need your address," Magnus said.

"Oh right sorry," Alec said a light blush spreading over his cheek. Magnus watched in amusement as Alec fumbled with his book bag. Alec pulled out a piece of crumpled paper with math equations on it.

"What's that for?" Magnus asked.

Alec flipped it over and scribbled something down on it and tore the page in half. "My address," Alec said handing Magnus the sheet of paper.

Magnus smiled and took the paper, "thanks." He leaned over and placed a kiss on Alec's cheek. When he pulled back he saw a dark blush spreading over Alec's Cheeks. He stood up and tucked Alec's address in his back pocket.

"I'll see you tonight darling."

"See you tonight," Alec said, ducking his head down so Magnus wouldn't see the blush coating his cheeks.

Magnus smiled and turned around and walked off, hoping to find Ragnor before the bell rang so he could tell him all about what just happened.

O.o.O.o.O.o.O.o.O

Magnus hadn't been able to find Ragnor before the bell rang so he had to wait until the math lesson he had with him at the end of the day. During Math Magnus told Ragnor everything from Alec's adorable smile to the cute way he said goodbye.

The two of them had gotten in trouble a few times during the lesson and the teacher had almost given them a detention but with some charm and bad excuses Magnus and his friend were able to not get detention.

"Hurry up Magnus!" Ragnor yelled, "Come on we have to get you ready for your date!"

"It's not a date," Magnus said walking up to his friend, who was waiting by his car. "It's just like a study session…"

"It's a study date," Ragnor said.

"It's not a date, date," Magnus said, trying to get his point across.

"It is in my books," Ragnor said, smiling brightly at Magnus. "Now hurry up!"

Magnus sighed and unlocked his car door, "Okay, get in."

Ragnor jumped into Magnus's car and Magnus got into the driver's side. Magnus started the ignition and drove out of the school. Magnus decided to drop Ragnor off home because he was starting to get on his nerves, Ragnor complained but Magnus told him that he'd tell him everything that happened after his study date.

Magnus pulled up into his driveway and his face fell when he saw his father's car parked in his usual spot. He got out of his car and pulled his book bag over his shoulder, he trudged up the steps towards the front door.

He unlocked the door and walked into his home, shutting the door behind him. "I'm home!" he called out.

"We're in the kitchen!" his mother yelled out.

Magnus sighed and walked to the kitchen, he saw his father sitting down at the kitchen bench his suitcases were at his feet.

"Hi," Magnus mumbled.

"Magnus," his father said happily. "It's great to see you after so long, how are you?"

"I'm fine what about you?" Magnus asked.

"I'm glad to be back home," his father said smiling brightly at him.

Magnus hummed and sat down on an empty stool. "So Magnus what are you up to tonight?" his father asked.

"I have a study date," Magnus said.

"Ooo!" His mother said rushing over to Magnus, "Who is it?" she asked, "Who are you studying with?"

"Alec," Magnus said. "You know the boy who cleaned our pool."

"Maryse's son!" His mother smiled widely, "He must be a cutie!"

"He's pretty cute," Magnus said happily.

"Isn't their family poor?" Magnus's father asked.

"No," Magnus said. "They just don't have as much money as other people."

"What happened to that Camille girl?" His father asked, "I thought you two we're together."

"We're just friends," Magnus said.

"But she was over here a lot," his father said.

"Yeah because we're friends," Magnus said.

"Oh… Well I hope you have fun on your study date," his father said smiling.

Magnus forced a smile and slid off the stool, "I'm going to go upstairs and take a nap or something."

"What time do you have to be at Alec's?" His mother asked.

"Eight-thirty," Magnus said.

"That's a little late isn't it?" His mother asked.

"Yeah, well Alec has to do his jobs and stuff and eight thirty was the only time he was free." Magnus explained.

"Oh…" his mother said, "well that's understandable."

His father nodded in approval.

"Okay well I'll see you later," Magnus said.

His mother and father smiled at him as he walked out of the kitchen. He walked up stares, into his bedroom and flopped down onto his bed. His father was back from his business trip that meant more rules and no fun.

At least he has Alec to look forward too.

So yeah tell me what you think.

Have some pie.
