Bonnie's Trainer Adventures 7

XX

In Which Bonnie Surpasses Her Goal

XX

The snow crunched under the feet of passing trainers. It was the season for the finest Mareep wool lined jackets and boots. And perfect upholstered mittens and scarfs. It was the customary time for trainer's to begin their journey home after a long year of traveling. Which was exactly what was happening to a familiar blonde.

Rubbing her hands together rapidly she let a large breath escape from her mouth between her green mittens.

"Gahhhhhh, why is it so cold-d-d-d-d" She shivered.

The only response she got was the gust of wind.

Not the kind of response she was looking for.

Shoulders slumped in defeat she adjusted her scarf and strived on.

"Almost there. Almost home." She kept muttering into her scarf.

A few miles more Bonnie stopped when she noticed an overlook.

Eyes sparkling like an anime characters would, she stretched her arms over her head and jogged in place.

"HOME. GUYS LOOK IT'S RIGHT THERE" She excitedly said.

Looking all around, she sighed in defeat again.

"Right, it's winter. Too cold." Placing her hands in her pocket Bonnie picked up her pace.

The sign she passed read Lumiose City. The City of Dreams"

XX

Lights twinkled throughout city. They hung on trees shops and buildings while holly wrapped around the lampposts and benches. Bonnie couldn't take her eyes off the glorious city. Before she knew it she was in the center circle, in front of the most exquisite structure in the city.

Home.

It lit up brighter than any other Christmas tree she's ever known. Arceus. It was ten times bigger than the tree directly in front of it. But that didn't matter. This was the pride and joy of her family. What her brother created.

Bonnie took one step forward and stopped in her tracks.

Huffing she took one last look and turned around abruptly stalking back into the streets.

"I'm not ready yet." Could barely be heard over the roar of the wind.

XX

Darkness started to cloud over the bright streets. But that didn't seem to matter. People still rushed about despite the cold.

"That's what holidays do to ya" Bonnie muttered weaving between the crowds.

"This is taking longer than I'd like" She sighed but continued winding throughout the streets. Then she reached it.

Vernal Avenue.

Picking up her pace she found herself standing in front of a well-polished store,

The Stone Emporium.

The bell chimed as she opened the door.

Shutting it behind her she huffed off her external gear and made her way towards the man at the counter busying himself in a book.

Standing politely at the counter she cleared her throat lightly and greeted the man.

"Hello sir!" Bonnie smiled

….

Nothing.

"Excuse me sir?' She tried once more.

….

Puffing her cheeks, Bonnie straightened her posture and took a deep breath.

"Hello! I'm looking to purchase something" Giving the biggest smile she could offer despite her frustration.

Finally the man lifted his glasses and looked up at her.

"Yes?" He pushed.

Trying not to narrow her eyes, she began, "Hi, I'm inquiring about purchasing a Thunderstone."

"Don't have any sorry." He said and looked back down.

"What! Wait. What do you mean you don't have any?" Bonnie spluttered and leaned forward.

"Exactly what I said. I don't have any." He repeated.

"How! That can't be" Bonnie whined.

"It's out of season. And we primarily are focusing our winter mining for mega stones. Much more demand. Some girl just bought our last thunderstone not too long ago. I also doubt you are going to have any luck elsewhere. I apologize for the inconvenience." The man said.

Squeezing her fists together in her pockets, Bonnie put on a smile and bowed slightly.

"Thank you anyway sir. Have a nice holiday."

Without bothering to adorn herself in her winter attire Bonnie walked out. Finding a nearby bench she plopped down.

"What am I going to do now?" She whispered looking towards the sky.

A tear shined in her eye.

Letting out a sniffle she wiped it with her arm.

The cold nipped at her but she did nothing. Not even a shiver.

Sighing Bonnie stood up and adjusted the warm clothing to her body.

"No use getting sick." She spoke to herself and started walking.

Her destination?

Unknown.

XX

Her stomach momentarily got Bonnie out of her stupor. Looking around she noticed one of the corner cafès. Reaching into her satchel she pulled out her Holocaster. The time read 20:38.

Good, she still had time before it closed.

Another bell jingled as she walked in. Shutting the door behind her she approached the counter where a female was waiting at the counter for her.

"Ha, at least this is better service." She laughed to herself.

"Happy Holidays! How may I help you?" She smiled.

Bonnie gave the girl her order and reached into her satchel to pay.

"May I have your name for the cup?" The barista asked.

"Bonnie. Thank you!" She said as she handed the girl the payment and walked to the left where the queue was.

She noticed there was an older female adjacent to her left with her back to her. She was dressed in forest green poncho hood and all. Very couture and perfect for the weather. What you would see all those magazines.

A few moments later another barista came into view and handed the other female her order, "Serena, here's your order. We apologize for the wait! Thank you again for the autograph!" The barista gushed.

Bonnie gasped.

"It was no problem at all don't worry! Have a wonderful holiday!" Serena smiled and turned around.

"SERENA!" Bonnie couldn't help herself as she ran up closer to her friend.

"Hey! Bonnie! What a surprise!" Serena smiled

"What are you doing here!" Bonnie smiled and reached behind Serena to grab the tea the barista was handing her.

"Oh... Um just doing some shopping!" Serena stuttered with a slight redness to her face.

Bonnie narrowed her eyes curiously at her older companion but let it go.

"Okay. Okay. Where are you off to now?" She smiled.

"Ah, well I was going to go see your brother actually, I picked up some sweets and I know he and especially Chesnaught would love them." Serena replied.

"Oh." Was all Bonnie said.

"What's wrong? Have you been home yet?" Serena questioned as she held the door open for the younger girl.

"Oh. Um. No I haven't." Bonnie confessed.

"Don't you want to go? It's been so long. They really miss you." Serena smiled.

Stepping out into the cold Bonnie turned to face Serena. Looking to the ground Bonnie admitted it. "I'm not ready Serena."

"What do you mean by that Bonnie?" Serena questioned and took a gentle step toward her.

Looking up Serena noticed the amount of emotion in Bonnie's eyes. She was trying so hard not to cry. She laid a gentle hand on Bonnie's shoulder to give her comfort.

Taking a raspy breath Bonnie said, "I said I wasn't going to return home until I've reached my goal and was ready to finish my dream."

"Oh Bonnie, why don't you think you're ready?" Asked Serena.

"I haven't fully completed my team yet. I couldn't evolved Pikachu" Bonnie said sheepishly.

Serena's face gently twitched slightly.

"Bonnie! That is nothing to be ashamed of and sad about. Your father and brother are not going to be disappointed in you at all if that's what you are afraid of." Serena said.

"I know that. But I guess I just want them to be proud. I'm so happy with how far Clemont has come; I just want him to be proud of me too. The right way." The younger Lèmon sibling explained.

Wrapping the girl in a hug Serena waited a few seconds before releasing her and looking her in the eye.

"Bonnie. Let's get you home."

Serena released a hand to adjust her poncho and wrapped Bonnie in yet another hug. Still wrapped in the hug Serena slipped a small rectangular box out of her sleeve and carefully slid it into the girl's satchel.

Letting go, Serena wrapped her arm around Bonnie and walked towards the large beacon of Lumiose city.

"Home" Bonnie whispered to herself.

XX

Serena stepped forward to open the small side door for the younger girls homecoming. Giving Bonnie a reassuring smile, the blonde got the courage to step inside. Serena soon followed suit and shut the door behind her.

"Ah, it still looks the same." Bonnie smiled and took a deep breath.

"Bonnie, you haven't been gone that long, just a couple of months." Laughed Serena.

As the girls walked through the foyer, they continued to chat between each other while dispensing of their exterior layers on their designated hooks.

"Serena is that you?" an echoed voice was heard with accompanying footsteps.

Bonnie's face contoured a sly muffled giggle, as she stepped behind Serena.

Turning around the corner was Clemont, however he was not how Bonnie pictured he'd look.

"Serena! You made it" Clemont smiled affectionately and stepped forward slowly pulling his arms from behind his back, to capture the said girl in a hug.

Catching Clemont dressed in a flannel shirt, slacks, and a tie looking so natural caught Bonnie off guard.

She almost missed her cue.

Almost.

Not catching Serena's awkward smile in time shocked Clemont as well. As a smaller figure ran into his arms instead of the honey haired girl he was expecting.

Gasping the blonde male dropped what he was holding and his eyes wandered downwards watching it fall slowly to the ground.

Serena followed his gaze and happened upon a red rose resting a few centimeters behind Bonnie's feet. Blushing slightly, she bent down to pick up the delicate flower, placing it in her poncho pocket. Looking back up she gave Clemont a genuine smile and mouthed, "Thank you".

Accepting her response gladly he looked back down at the figure tightening her grip on his waist. Trying to shake himself out of shock he wrapped his arms around the smaller girl and placed his head atop her head.

Bonnie attempted to speak into Clemont's chest but all was heard was a mumbled voice.

Laughing, he loosened his grip on his younger sister, and smiled down at her.

"Welcome Home Bonnie" He spoke.

Giving the brightest smile she could manage despite her previous dilemma she accepted the response and grabbed his hand dragging him farther inside the house.

The siblings paused to look back at their old travel companion, both seemed eager to have her follow.

"Come on Serena!" Bonnie smiled.

"Yes, Serena, it's your home as well." Clemont smiled and reached out his hand.

A light breeze flowed in from the window and blew her bobbed hair slightly. Shivering a little, Serena fixed her hair slightly with her hands, and awkwardly followed the Lèmon siblings, latching onto Clemont's arm lightly.

Bonnie took to herself by taking slower steps but the older duo didn't seem to mind as they continued walking through the foyer to the living quarters. A crazy thought filled Bonnie's head but decided it was best to keep it in her head for now. Smiling slyly to herself she walked through the threshold behind their lead.

XX

A few hours later, the dining room table was full of laughs. Clemont was currently cleaning off the table meanwhile Serena was making room for the delicious desserts. "Ohoho, I'm getting spoiled over here, delicious dinner followed by desserts and my little cutie pie is home." Said Meyer, rubbing his stomach happily.

"I know Dad! Clemont and Serena really do make a great pair. I never noticed it before, it's like they complete each other." Bonnie exclaimed not missing a beat.

A loud noise clattered on the counter where Clemont was standing washing dishes.

Sheepishly apologizing he went back to his own business rather swiftly.

Serena looking the other way didn't seem to notice where her hands were heading as her hand accidently landed through a strawberry cupcake.

Whipping her head around she gasped. Bonnie also took notice of the bright red hue across her cheeks. Bonnie gave herself a small smile.

"Aha… It's working…" She thought to herself

"Uh..." Meyer began but was silenced by Serena's gaze. It was like a Deerling in headlights.

Hands awkwardly scratching the back of his head, Clemont offered his suggestion,

"Oh, well since dessert seems to be postponed… Ha..Ha.. Let's just go ahead to the gym. The Pokémon would love to see you Bonnie."

Standing up, Bonnie managed smiled and said, "Sure. I'd love to see them." Momentarily Serena locked eyes with Bonnie and gave her a reassuring nod. The young teen replied with a small nod and took the lead through the opposite door they had entered earlier.

Serena then straightened herself up and walked towards the sink where Clemont was still standing. Brushing up against his thighs she started to wash off her hands.

"You two have to tell her eventually you know. It's been some time." Meyer suggested and stood up from his seat. "She's a smart girl, she probably already knows." And walked in the opposite direction of his daughter.

Sneaky laughter echoed through the hallway going into the gym.

"Oh they're so obvious. At least this gives me something else to focus on for a while instead of the battle..." Bonnie thought to herself, although a sad smile appeared on her lips the last second.

XX

Meanwhile in the kitchen,

Serena and Clemont locked eyes, but unsureness till glossed over them.

"Not yet, Clemont. She needs this time to focus on getting ready for her battle against you. And you need to focus as well. Bonnie is a tough cookie you know?" Serena said.

Clemont sighed and continued, "I know. This is not going to be easy." Looking away and wiping his brow, he then turned back to Serena. Placing a hand gently on her elbow he continued, "We can still reschedule our date, don't worry."

"Oh Clemont, don't worry about that. Getting Bonnie home is an even better event." She replied.

Smiling at her, Clemont agreed. "Yes. Indeed it definitely is."

XX

Darkness lit up the walkway towards the industrial part of her home. With each step she took the elongated hallway alight a little more in due to the motion-censored lights, courtesy to Clemont of course. Looking around, Bonnie breathed in the industrial scent of the interior.

'Nothing physical has changed, just the people I suppose.' She thought to herself and kept on walking. Keeping to herself the rest of the way she did not realize she had reached her destination.

Bright fluorescent lights filled Bonnie's vision, which caused her to stray her eyes away to adjust. Once they finally did, she noticed one of her favorite of Clemont's inventions standing center stage.

Clembot.

"Hello Bonnie. It has been a rather long time." It spoke robotically.

'At least, Clembot hasn't changed.' Bonnie laughed to herself.

"Hello Clembot! How's the gym been fairing?" Bonnie asked politely.

"It has been very successful. Clemont has a 83.87774% win rate as of late." He replied.

The girls eyes lit up as well as her eyebrows.

"Oh wow! That's so good…" Her excited remark slowly turned to contemplation.

Clembot said nothing in response but looked on past the blonde towards the entranceway.

"Hello Serena. Welcome!" He spoke.

"Hi Clembot, Bonnie are you alright?" Serena spoke softly.

Looking up at her friend, Bonnie held a strained smile.

Putting a hand on Bonnie's shoulder once more, the older girl motioned for Bonnie to look up at her.

"It's going to be alright okay?" She said, and Bonnie nodded.

"Alright, good attitude, now here's your satchel." Serena continued and held out the bag she hid behind her to Bonnie.

"Why do I need this?" Bonnie questioned tilting her head to the side.

"Just trust me on this, okay? Go into Clemont's workshop. I'm going stay in here and distract Clemont for a while." Serena smiled.

Bonnie accepted the strange instructions but gave her a suspicious glance before heading her guidance.

XX

Motion-censored lights appeared once more in the workshop. Looking around Bonnie tried to pick up on any new inventions her brother could be working on. She noticed some different objects but shook them off, considering she still probably wouldn't understand them, even after all these years.

Thinking back to Serena's words, Bonnie looked down at her bag she was now wearing. Cautiously she lifted the flap and noticed there was a small wrapped box. Tilting the palm sized square around, she took in the fact it was striped in yellow and blue… Those were Clemont's favorite colors.

Staring at the object for a few more seconds, Bonnie finally caved and pulled on the yellow bow lightly.

The bow fell off and drifted to the floor.

Grabbing the nearest corner, Bonnie gave it a nice rip.

It still wasn't enough. So she kept going. Wrapping paper accumulating on the floor around Bonnie's feet.

In time, a blue box was lying in Bonnie's palm. With just a lid separating her and the prize.

With one final deep breathe, she unmasked the box and gasped with the content.

A Thunderstone.

'...'

'…..'

"Everything is going to be alright." Bonnie whispered to herself. She reached up to dry her eyes and released a little sniffle. "It really is." She smiled.

XX

Walking back towards the gym she noticed Serena was true to her word. She was distracting Clemont. They were currently standing amongst several Pokémon.

But all attention was on each other, not the boisterous creatures around them.

Pretending not to notice, Bonnie shouted out, "Hey Guys!" And ran to the center of the gym.

Running straight at her, a majority of the Pokémon managed to get to her before long.

Getting knocked over, she burst out laughing.

"Ha hahaha, Chesnaught, stop!" She giggled.

"Naught!" It replied. Looking around her she noticed other familiar faces.

Included were a Delphox, Sceptile, Ryhorn, Diggersby, Magnezone and countless others.

"It's so good to see you all again!" She smiled and reached over into her satchel. Catching eye contact with the duo staring at her, Bonnie gave a big smile.

"It's time for you guys to meet my team!" And she gave the six pokeballs and great toss in the air.

Time seemed to stop as they slowly appeared.

First Dedenne.

Many surrounding Pokémon gave him a loud welcome home cheer.

Second Pachirisu.

Cheers of welcome were heard again.

Third Emolga.

The cries didn't stop there either.

Fourth and fifth included the twin Pokémon. Plusle and Minun. It was customary at this point for them to have synchronized entrances.

And the last to appear made Bonnie's heart soar.

A Raichu.

Bonnie walked behind her full team ensemble, and held her hands up towards the sky.

"I'd like to introduce to you, my dream team."

Cries were echoed throughout the gym and Bonnie's smile light up the room. It especially captured the hearts of two particular people.

Serena gave her the most genuine smile. She was happy for Bonnie and glad she could assist her.

Clemont on the other hand looked like he was going to fly. Proudness shown throughout his eyes and facial features, more so than when one of his inventions were successful.

"Well Bonnie. I am so proud of you, and I'm here to accept your challenge whenever you ask for it."

Setting her hands back down at her side, Bonnie stepped between the twins in front of her and ran to the human pair.

Engulfing her arms around the two of them she let tears escape.

"Thank you. Both of you." She smiled as their arms reached around her and squeezed.

"No, thank you Bonnie." They both replied.

XX

A few days later finds Bonnie at one of the many Pokémon Centers in Lumiose city.

"Okay" Bonnie said as she looked to her left. "Emolga use double team once more" Looking to her right she spoke again, "Raichu, try and get your speed back up to par, and use Iron tail on each copy of Emolga. Then counter it with Aeriel Ace Emolga! Sound good?" The Pokémon nodded and Bonnie stepped back off the battlefield.

"Ok, go!" she yelled and the battle commenced.

Emolga created the double team and hovered through the air. Raichu ran forward but was startled when a large gust of wind passed through the field, tripping over her feet she toppled to the ground. Meanwhile also knocking Emolga's concentration off guard as well. The flying squirrel rapidly fell to the ground.

Once Bonnie gained her composure and fixed her hair and jacket away from her face she studied the battlefield.

"Ugh oh no oh no. Come on guys! You worked out in the cold before when we went against Wulfric."

Walking over to the two Pokémon she helped them sit upright.

"We have to get in shape, I keep postponing Clemont's battle and that's not looking too good." Bonnie frowned.

"Don't worry about what your brother thinks Bonnie. He's always going to be proud of you and he's a patient man. He will wait as long as he has too." A voice rang from behind Bonnie.

Turning her head she realized it was Serena making an appearance once more.

"Hi Serena, are you back from the photo shoot?" Bonnie asked.

"Mhm." She hummed. "It went very well actually. It was a pain to have to travel to Couramine town, but nonetheless I'm happy with the outcome!" She smiled and motioned for Bonnie to come join her on the seat.

Helping her Pokémon walk towards Serena, Bonnie settled herself next to the girl.

Bonnie faked a gasp and said, "The sacrifices a Kalos Queen has to make." Then stifled into giggles.

"Hilarious Bonnie." She laughed. "So what's wrong?" She asked genuinely.

Letting out a large sigh the blonde contemplated her answer.

"Well, first of all I just want to say I really appreciate the thunderstone. I didn't get to talk to you much about it since you had to leave the next day. I understand the gift was originally for my brother and you gave it to me. That means a lot Serena. So thank you. Really." She smiled at Serena.

"Oh Bonnie. You're very welcome. Plus, you needed it more than he did. I'm sure he wouldn't mind at all. Your dream is important to all of us."

"I've come this far, and I'm at a standstill Serena. Clemont is such a good gym leader; I don't know how I'm going to beat him. And I've been working with Raichu for the past few days but we can't seem to get a good flow going. You know? He's going to think we rushed into evolution. I want to be ready. That and the deadline for the league is coming up. I just don't know Serena…" She sighed.

"I understand." The older girl said. "I didn't know you were thinking about the league?" She questioned the younger girl.

Looking at her feet Bonnie shuffled a bit before responding. "I. Um. Originally wasn't actually. But I've met someone on my journey, I mean people. That kind of inspired me to try and go for it." Bonnie sheepishly smiled.

Serena gave a light chuckle and stood up looking down at Bonnie.

"Come, let's have a battle. I'll help you." Serena said and reached into her purse pulling out a single pokeball.

"Really? You don't mind?" Bonnie exclaimed.

"Not at all, plus it has been a while since I battled! It'll be good practice for me as well!" She said.

Bonnie gestured towards Raichu as she returned Emolga to her pokeball to rest. Thanking the Pokémon at the same time.

Raichu and Bonnie got into battling stance as Serena threw her hand up at the sky.

Spinning out of its pokeball engulfed in flames was the ever so beautiful Delphox, Serena's most trusted partner. Serena nodded at Bonnie, and she took it as her cue to go first.

Bonnie gulped and called out her command.

XX

'Breathe Bonnie breathe, breathe Bonnie breathe' She kept thinking to herself as she paced her room. Sitting on her bed was her faithful team she had managed to assemble within the past year of traveling.

Turning her attention towards the six she pulled up her desk chair. Turning the chair so she could sit backwards on it.

"Okay." Was all she said.

"Dedenne de" The small orange mouse said, jumping to climb up her arm. Reaching Bonnie face, he quickly leaned up against her cheek and nuzzled before Bonnie could stop him.

The next few moments left the blonde quivering over her momentary paralysis.

"Ga…Gah…Thanks Dedenne. I needed that…" She laughed.

"Okay team." She addressed them.

"Today is the day we finally fight my brother. And I plan to beat him, alright?" She smiled and received cheers in return.

"I just want to thank each and every one of you. I am so happy to call you my team.

Dedenne, you've been here since the beginning, and you started it all. You're the best.

Raichu, thank you for bearing with me this whole journey we've had. We've had to do a lot of training to get you where you are today. You're the powerhouse of this team, I expect you to show all you got today. I know you can do it.

Pachirisu, you've witnessed me having several life and death situations and you're still here. I'm glad you don't think I'm too crazy after all we've also been through.

Same for Minun and Plusle, our first impressions weren't that great of each other but we worked on that and you two are a great duo. The best I could ask for.

And finally Emolga, thanks for saving my life and completing this team. Without you my dream would not be any step closer.

That last sentence goes for all of you. I love you all very much, so let's go be the best team ever." She finished her monologue and wiped her eyes swiftly. However, before she could notice, her true companions tackled her to the ground.

'Best team ever.' She thought.

XX

Cracking and re-cracking her knuckles and bouncing on her toes were all that was keeping Bonnie sane while she looked around the gym. On the seats to her left were Serena and her father. To the right stood the official referee, Clembot. But standing directly before her was her brother. 'Or her worst nightmare' This moment could be put. 'Sh. No Bonnie don't think that.' She thought to herself.

Giving herself a swift smack to the head she looked up at her brother and awkwardly smiled.

"You alright Bonnie? We don't have to do this now." He asked full of concern.

"No no no no no, Clemont. We are doing this now. I'm ready." She shook her hands in front of herself.

"If you're sure." He asked once more.

"I'm positive." She replied confidently.

"Okay. This is going to be a six versus six battle. Only the challenger is allowed to switch Pokémon. Winning this eighth badge will allow the challenger to enter the Pokémon League if she so wishes. Challenger will make the first move." Clemont finished his speech and reached to his jean belt pulling out his first pokeball.

Bonnie took a large breath and did the same.

Clembot looked between the two trainers and lifted his hands. "Battle commence!"

"Go Minun!" She shouted.

Simultaneously Clemont shouted, "Go Ampharos!"

XX

Minun went down, as Bonnie sent out Plusle in her place.

'Don't sweat on it. It's only the first round.' She thought to herself.

XX

Ampharos went down second round. 'Good, they really do work in such a great duo' She smiled to herself.

"I see you've been preparing for this Bonnie." Clemont smiled and sent out his next Pokémon. Helioisk.

XX

It was Bonnie's turn once more to return her Pokémon.

"Don't stress Bonnie!" cried from the stands. Looking over, Bonnie smiled and thanked Serena for her reassurance.

"Okay, let's go Dedenne! Let's show Clemont how much more awesomer you've become!" She shouted and the red light came to show the orange mouse.

"Bonnie.." Clemont started.

"Shh. Clemont. Not now. I know that's not a word." She sternly said and continued to shout. "Quick attack Dedenne!"

XX

The pattern seemed to be set in place. Clemont thanked Helioisk for his hard work and reached once more to his belt. Enlarging his third Pokémon he threw it towards the battlefield. "I would like your assistance Magnezone"

Bonnie's posture shifted as she thought of her next move.

Deciding she pulled out two pokeballs. "Return, Dedenne, take a rest for now." Pocketing that ball she threw the other one in the air. "Pachirisu it's time to go! Super Fang on Magnezone!" She yelled.

XX

The pattern was broken. Clemont once again reached into his pocket and switched pokeballs. "Aha, you're ahead Bonnie. But we'll see." Clemont smiled.

Bonnie shook a finger towards her brother. "I'm going to finish this!" She taunted.

Clemont shook his head slightly and sent out his next Pokémon. Suddenly Electabuzz materialized.

XX

Bonnie looked down at her pokeball and thanked Pachirisu for his hard work, reaching into her bag once more. "Emolga! It's your turn!"

XX

"Yes!" Bonnie cried as Electabuzz fell to Emolga's aerial ace trick. "Yay! You've got the double team, aerial ace combo down pretty well!" Bonnie cheered.

Hearing chuckles across the battlefield she made eye contact with her brother.

Narrowing her eyes, he said nothing in return. Just sent another pokeball out on the field.

"Mana Manetric!" It cried out.

Bonnie froze up and shifted her eyes towards Emolga whom was floating just above her. Noticing the Pokémon choice, Emolga's composure stiffened as well. Clemont noticed the change in atmosphere.

"Is everything alright?" He asked.

Hearing a voice Bonnie looked straight ahead.

"Oh. Oh" She said looking back up towards Emolga. The Emolga nodded confidently and got back into battle ready mode.

"No, Clemont, it's alright. Let's keep going." Bonnie smiled.

XX

A few minutes later the squirrel fell down for the count. "Emolga, that was great. I give you amazing credit for going up against Manetric." Bonnie smiled and pocketed Emolga.

'Two Pokemon left. It's even.' She thought to herself. Bonnie's fingers twitched over the two remaining pokeballs. Deciding on one, she threw it. The silhouette grew large signaling it was Raichu whom was chosen.

"Raichu. It's time to shine!" Bonnie shouted.

XX

Raichu proved Bonnie right. She did shine. Manetric was down just as quick as Emolga had been. "Yes! One more to go! Come on Raichu we can do this!" Bonnie cheered. And responses from Meyer and Serena came in addition. Bonnie smiled towards the audience. She was glad to have such great people behind her for her journey.

"It's the final countdown Bonnie." Clemont smiled.

"Oh please don't quote things Clemont. Let's just continue." Bonnie laughed and added a quick face palm.

Chuckling at his little sisters behavior he sent out his final Pokémon.

'Luxray. I knew it.' She smiled.

"I knew you were saving him for last." Bonnie said.

"I figured, but can you still beat him?" Clemont challenged.

"Anytime. Let's go Raichu! Iron Tail' She commanded

Clemont stuck out his hand, "Luxray Fire Fang!"

"Spin around Raichu! You can dodge him!" Bonnie shouted.

Staying true to her trainer's words, Raichu did indeed slide past Luxray, grabbing ahold of his legs with her tail.

Tossing the wolf Pokémon to the side, Raichu gained momentum to slam him with a proper Iron Tail.

Landing the hit, Luxray hit the ground hard.

"Luxray! You can do it, get up and use Crunch!" Clemont called.

Before Raichu could process, Luxray was on her tail. Letting out a huge cry, Raichu collapsed to the ground.

"Raichu!" Bonnie screamed

Hearing her trainer's voice brought the large mouse back to her senses. And the battle commenced once more.

XX

Dust clouds covered the area. Both Lèmon siblings waited anxiously on either side of the battlefield at the outcome. Who was left standing crossed everybody's mind. A few moments later the dirt cleared.

Standing victorious was Luxray.

Raichu out cold in the center.

'Okay. Okay. Don't panic. I still have one Pokemon left.' Bonnie thought to herself as she reached into her pocket. Crossing her fingers she took out the ball, looking straight at it once she enlarged it.

Before pressing the button she looked up at her brother.

"It all comes down to this. Our most faithful companions. Who we started everything with. They're both worn out from battle, so let's see who's going to win this big brother." Bonnie smiled.

"I wouldn't want anything else Bonnie." He smiled and waited for his sisters move.

"Dedenne! I'm putting all my faith on you!" Bonnie cried.

The red light left the small mouse just in front of the large Luxray.

Instead of being intimidated, Dedenne puffed out his chest and awaited his trainer's instructions.

Laughing Bonnie called out, "Dedenne Play Rough!"

"Luxray, dodge and use Take down!" Clemont yelled.

The Luxray was stumped with how swift the small Pokémon was. He came to a stop, confused on where it disappeared.

Then Dedenne hit Luxray, knocking him to the ground from above.

Luxray hit the ground once more, panting.

Trying to get up was a struggle for the wolf Pokémon.

"Do you still have any fight left Luxray?" Clemont called out.

"Luxx" It cried as best it could and stood as firmly as it could.

"Dedenne use Thunder!" Bonnie called out.

"Luxray counter with Thunder!" The male called out.

Both Pokémon's attack met in the middle.

Evenly matched at first but it was obvious one side was draining out.

And then it stopped all together.

Dust clouds covered the field once more, as did the confusion.

Clemont looked around, seeing Luxray standing. But Dedenne was nowhere in sight.

Then.

All of a sudden, Luxray went flying towards the back wall.

Clemont looked back at Luxray and then towards his sister in alarm.

It was like scene out of an action film.

Bonnie's hair blew slightly in the commotion, surrounded by dust and a small mouse spurting out electricity.

'Well, maybe like an action film…' Clemont rethought his statement, but shook it out of his head quickly for he just came to the realization with what had happened.

Bonnie had beaten him.

Loud cheers were heard across the room.

Behind the loud cheers Clembot's robotic voice could be heard. "Gym Leader Clemont is out of usable Pokemon, the victory goes to the challenger, Bonnie."

Bonnie ran up to Dedenne grabbing him in the biggest hug.

She didn't seem to be bothered by the small electric shock she received.

'Ha, that's my sister for you.' Clemont laughed to himself and approached Luxray.

"Thanks for all your help Luxray. You were fantastic." He said, and returned him to his pokeball.

Looking behind him he saw Serena approaching him.

"That was a great battle Clemont." She smiled. "How do you feel about it?" She asked.

He thought about his answer for a few seconds.

"I'm so proud of her Serena. She really had come a long way. She's going to do great things. Just like you Serena." He smiled.

Before Serena could respond Bonnie came charging to them. Dedenne seemed to have been returned to his pokeball for rest.

"Big brother!" Bonnie cried.

"Congratulations Bonnie." He smiled and reached into his pocket pulling out a badge resembling a lightning bolt. I now present you with your final badge. With this you can enter the league. But most of all, you have reached your goal Bonnie. And I couldn't be more proud." He said.

Sobs were heard emanating from the corner where Meyer stood.

"Congratulations Bonnie." Serena smiled as well.

Bonnie reached forward to take the badge placing it in her badge case. Smiling, she held it up against the light and watched it shine. Silently, she added it back into her purse and looked to the three adults in the room.

Giving a sly smile to her father she then looked at her old travel companions.

"Serena I have a question to ask you, if that's okay?" She asked.

"Hm? Sure Bonnie, what is it?" Serena answered.

"Would you please keep my brother for me?" Bonnie asked while getting down on knee, extending her arm.

Clemont and Serena's eyes seem to jolt out of their heads while Meyer's laughter filled the room.

Catching the vibe, Clemont joined in on the laughter and put his arm around Serena.

Face as red as the rose she received a week ago, she looked between the Lèmon family and joined in laughing.

"Sure Bonnie. I'd be honored."

Bonnie laughed and reached her hands out to her family.

"I think this family deserves a group hug?" Bonnie asked.

"Of course" They all responded.

A few months later finds Bonnie staring at a place where Bonnie never thought she would ever be again. She was staring at the Kalos League entrance. Thinking back on her whole journey with all the obstacles in her path, she never thought she'd reach her goal. Never mind surpass it, only to achieve more. Taking out her six pokeballs she held them up slightly to reflect off the light. Something she often did for pride purposes and to relive the moments. Smiling widely to herself, she pocketed the balls and went on to take her second steps into the league. This time, her goal was to win it all. Just like a certain Ash Ketchum she knew had in mind.

Stopping her in her tracks however, was another familiar voice.

"Looks like you beat your brother hm?" it said.

Chucking to herself, she turned around to see the familiar voice matched a familiar mop of mahogany hair as well.

"Yes, Duncan. I have. And I hope you know I plan to win it all." Bonnie smiled.

Laughing sarcastically he caught up with Bonnie and she turned to match his pace towards the archway.

"Yeah okay. We'll see about that. Glad you came though. Wouldn't be fair if I competed without my rival."

Bonnie looked up at the boy and smiled.

"Yeah, I am too."

And the pair walked through the threshold.

To forever further their goals and dreams.

Hey Guys! This marks the end of Bonnie's Trainer Adventures! I hope you all enjoyed it! I apologize for how long it took to finish this story. School always gets in the way. Please let me know how you think it came out! I really suck at writing battles, and if I wrote all battles in this, it would create a very long story. I wanted to stick to a small amount of chapters as well. One chapter for each addition to her team.

Also, If you didn't notice I stuck a ton of Geekchicshipping into this last chapter. I'm sorry, I love the ship. I couldn't help myself. But if you dislike the ship you can look past it and just focus on Bonnie. I decided to incorporate Serena, because she had become a great influence for Bonnie, and to bring the whole 'keep my brother' aspect back. Which creates great interaction between the siblings.

In addition, I ended it this way, as for you guys, the readers to have an opportunity to explore what you think happens next. It's all up to your imagination. So let me know what you think happens! Or want to happen!

So again, thanks for your support! Until next time! (:
