A/N Another one I couldn't get out of my head. Super short. For this, just imagine Emma is shorter than Killian. The top of her head reaches his chin. K? K.
She wouldn't let go of the lapels of his jacket, her head tucked under his chin, tears streaming down her face, eyes closed tightly.
The Ice Queen screamed in agony behind them and still she held on, knuckles turning white forcing her eyes closed tighter. The ice wall began shattering around them and she buried her head further in his chest trying to drown out the deafening noise.
She held on when her parents showed up, shouting her name, concern evident in their voices. She didn't look up, instead breathing in his scent of rum and leather. She gripped the jacket even harder.
It wasn't until everything grew silent and the shouting had stopped that she lifted her head, hair falling in waves around her face, fingers still clutching leather. He placed a finger under her chin and stroked her cheek with his thumb until her eyes opened, green met blue. "I've got you, Swan. It's ok."
She sniffled and nodded. Letting out a breath she hadn't known she'd been holding, she once again leaned into his chest and closed her eyes as he whispered into her hair. "It's ok, love. Shhhh. Everything is alright."
Emma's hands never left the lapels of his jacket as he stroked her back, her hair.
She'd swore she'd never let go of him again.
