Hello readers! I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has been writing me wonderful reviews. I love them. I hope this chapter keeps you on the edge of your seat, I have much more planned for these guys. Enjoy!
Felicity had been re-wiring the machine for at least forty five minutes when she realized the it required another smaller machine to operate. She still didn't know what it did but she knew it was expensive. She turned the machine over, noticing a small metal plaque on it's edge. Property of StarLabs. Her eyes widened as she looked the machine over. What would a Queen Consolidated investor want with a StarLabs machine? Better yet, why would a Queen Consolidated investor be in possession it?
Her curiosity got the better of her so she got to her feet and headed to the door, but when she tried to open it, it was locked.
"Isobel?" Felicity knocked on the door, starting to feel a knot in her stomach that something wasn't right, "Mr. Highland?"
"I'm afraid they're not here, Felicity." A rough Australian accent from the other side of the door made Felicity's heart slow. Slade Wilson. She heard the lock turn and she stepped back as the door swung open and in it's frame stood Oliver's enemy.
"Y-You," She stuttered, edging back and using her peripheral vision to look for a weapon. "Where's Isobel?"
Slade laughed, "She's gone home, I thought she deserved a night off from luring you here."
Felicity gulped, Isobel was involved? She shook her head, he had to be lying. She knew Isobel was cruel but she wouldn't be capable of something like this, would she?
"I can see those lights flashing in your head, Felicity." Slade closed the door behind himself and sat at the chair in front of the desk that Felicity now stood behind. "Why don't you tell me what you're thinking?"
She thought about Oliver, he'd be looking for her by now. Him and Diggle were probably on their way here with super arrows ready to rescue her. She hated being the damsel in distress, she just wanted to be home, in the safe arms of Oliver.
"I think that Oliver is going to be very angry when he finds you." Felicity mustered.
Slade shrugged, "Well that's obvious, considering I'm about to take the one innocent thing in his life." Slade stood, walking towards her with something she couldn't quite make out in his left hand. She looked to the equipment on the desk, the pieces clicking together.
"You want me to make this machine work for you." She looked at the wiring; she knew she had some leverage now. He was going to use it to hurt Oliver in someway or another. "And you think I'll do that with you holding me against my will."
Slade held up his hand, a syringe filled with a yellow liquid and a needle so long it could probably stick out the other side of her neck. "For a graduate of MIT you're a bit slow."
"And if I don't fix your, or should I say StarLabs machine, what then?" She asked, trying not to show how scared she really was.
"I'll wait for your boyfriend to show up and I'll give him a front row seat to your torture." He stepped towards her and inserted the fluid into her neck.
Felicity felt her muscles sagging almost instantly. Her vision blurred and her knees gave way but she never felt herself hit the ground, only drift into darkness.
Barry Allen had been sitting in his hotel room, staring at his laptop screen for nearly two hours now. He knew where the man had escaped to, but he didn't know why. The man he saw at the warehouse was tall and broad and dressed like a businessman with an off-putting black eye patch.
Barry expected him to drive to a remote factory that had no surveillance but instead he drove into the underground car park of a five star hotel, not far from his own. With no new activity other than the man moving into an elevator with the machine- Barry had nothing. Until a while later when he saw a woman he recognized from Queen Consolidated exit the elevator.
He zoomed in on her face, confirming it was her and he dialed Felicity's number. He wanted to know if Oliver's business partner had anything to do with StarLabs, but when her phone rang, he saw the woman pull what he swore was Felicity's purple phone from her pocket and hang up on him.
He sat back in awe, wondering if it was a coincidence or if something had gone terribly wrong. Barry didn't believe that Felicity would be involved in theft. Unless it was to help someone in need. Felicity was a good person; he knew that. So why would this woman have her phone? Barry shook his head, it couldn't be her phone. Purple is a common color that women like, he thought. It's not hers.
He looked back at Felicity's number on his phone screen and decided to track it. He had to know.
"Where the hell could she be?" Oliver ran his hands through his hair as he paced back and forth in front of Diggle. Barry was going to pay for whatever he'd done to her. "Find out where he's staying," Oliver moved toward his suit and opened its glass case. "I'm gonna show him my arrows."
Diggle typed madly at the computer and moment later, stood and put his gun in his holster. "Found him, let's go."
Soon after, Oliver and Diggle pulled up out the back of a dinghy brick hotel. It looked like something Barry would hide out in. As Oliver made his way through the back entrance, Diggle hid the car around the corner and hurried towards the building being sure to stay in the shadows.
"He's on the fourth floor." Dig said through the earpiece.
"I'll take the fire escape, you take the front." Oliver ordered, his voice harsher than he intended it to be, but Dig understood - this was Felicity and if anyone hurt her; they wouldn't just have Oliver to deal with.
Barry Allen was sitting on the end of his bed with his laptop resting on his lap when he heard a thump come from the ensuite. He thought maybe a bird had hit the window or one the shampoo bottles had fallen from its shelf to the floor. He put the laptop aside and walked towards the noise when it sounded again.
The door flung open and out jumped Oliver, in his green suit. A second later the front door burst wide and Diggle rushed in with his gun in his hand. "Where is she?" Oliver yelled, pointing the arrow at Barry. At that moment, he knew something bad had happened to Felicity.
"I don't know, I swear!" Barry said, putting his hands up in surrender. "But I think I know who does."
Felicity felt the cool air whipping around her. Her shoulders were sore but she couldn't soothe them because as she opened her foggy eyes, she noticed they were tied above her head.
Slade had her and she knew Oliver would be looking for her- but she felt hopeless. Slade was impatient. He wasn't going to stall.
"She's awake!" Felicity heard the rough voice behind her and her heart leaped to her throat. "But is she ready to help?"
She could hear his footsteps getting closer and then she felt his hand on the small of her back. His touch felt toxic, it felt wrong on her. She tried to move away but the rope around her wrists had her body nearly lifted from the ground. Her body swung back into Slades hard chest.
"That eager, hey?" She heard him chuckle.
"Oliver's going to find me."
"I know that and I'm very pleased for you, Felicity." Slade walked around to face her and pouted. "But, you don't look pleased." His hands grasped her waist and skimmed the sides of her breasts, up her arms and to her wrists. She felt tears pooling in her eyes but she didn't want Slade to see how weak she was. "I'm surprised that Oliver hasn't bedded you yet, you know?"
Felicity scowled and looked away but Slade caught her chin and forced her to face him. "I know the rumors floating around QC aren't true." He told her, "And I'm proud of you for remaining professional." He sighed, "Every girl he touches he manages to get hurt."
Felicity closed her eyes, trying to drown out Slades voice.
"Actually, there is one young lady he's slept with that hasn't been stabbed or shot yet." Slade recalled, "Isobel Rochev." He reached around the back of her neck and pulled the tie from her hair.
Felicity didn't want to think about Isobel and Oliver sleeping together, the thought made her sick. She suddenly remembered Isobel at The Grand Pier, "What did you do to Isobel?"
Slades brows knitted together, "I haven't hurt her if that's what you're getting at." He sighed and stepped back from her, folding his arms. "I've been training her."
He had Felicity's attention, "For what?"
"Helping her kill Oliver's closest friends." He shrugged, "What else would I be training her for? Nothing is more important." He pulled his phone from his pant pocket and opened the camera app. "Now, before Oliver arrives, we're gonna have a little fun." Slade moved towards her, his phone aimed at her tied hands as he took a photo. He pushed the phone back into his pocket before touching Felicity again.
Felicity heard the popping of the buttons on her shirt and a loud tearing noise. She was wearing a bra but that didn't cover her dignity. He walked behind her as she started to cry, he unzipped her skirt and it fell in a puddle at her feet.
"Green underwear," Slade commented, "You are very committed Felicity, I like that about you." He stepped in front of her and took another photo. "Now, what do you think Isobel should include in this press release?"
Felicity cried harder, she knew what Slade was doing. He liked to hurt Oliver publicly, he'd done the same to Thea.
"Executive Assistant play's 50 Shades with Oliver Queen." He said and nodded, "I like the sound of that. It will grab attention and generate views quickly." He put his phone back in his pocket and pulled a chair from the side of the room.
"You and I both know there's only one way this ends." Felicity murmured through her tears. "You'll die."
