Chapter 14: Oh shit

Kagome's Pov.
It was Monday morning I got a call from the hospital and was (of course) rushing to get there, sadly for me it seemed like karma hated me with a passion because who do I end up running into? Well more like whom I ran into, I ran straight smack dab into Bankotsu, shocking I know, but not ONLY did I run into him but his friend too, which I found out that his name is Koga, the three of us were sprawled all over the ground, of course I was cursing like a sailor because I ran into two handsome guys
But I was cursing because I was going to be late, sighing I quickly got up and apologized, and went to make a dash way so I could get to the hospital but…like I said before karma must really really hate me, Koga introduced himself, I say a quick hi and I tell him that I would just love to stay and chat but I am late and I apologize again,
Making sure he nor Bankotsu could say a word I ran to the hospital like my life depended on it, what I didn't see is that they followed me, and here I thought I got myself out of a situation, and well apparently not, I continue to run once inside and of course just like every other time I was bent over trying to catch my breath, the lady at the desk and as well as the people at the hospital on the main floor were quite use to it, they know I could just drive here but then it would of taken longer because in all honestly traffic is a bitch.
She smiles and says "I see you ran here again" since I couldn't breathe, I nod, pushing the button and telling the head nurse that I am here, I was glad she gave me at least a few seconds more finally when I caught my breath, I see her rushing towards me with a panicked expression and I knew right away that whomever it was it was very bad, handing me the clipboard with the information on it, I look at, not really reading what I was reading closing my eyes I take a breath and look at it again this time reading it and I drop it, a loud cling echoed throughout the main floor
(That is when Koga and Bankotsu wanted in) I spin towards her and yell "YOU HAVE GOT TO BE SHITTING ME! DO YOU KNOW WHO THAT IS?!" (Since I had yelled it so loud the last word echoed a few time) her eyes were wide and she nodded several times, (now I am not one for cussing like a sailor, but this moment is calls for it) "AGH!" I scream while throwing my hand up, several other people were looking at me strange but when they got told on exactly who I was screaming about they couldn't help but to feel sorry.
I continue my rant I started walking back and forth all the while screaming and cussing (and continuing to throw my hands up) like a sailor "THE FUCK DID I DO TO DESREVE THIS!? OUT OF ALL THE FUCKING PEOPLE IN THE WORD IT HAD TO BE HIM?! HIM?!
After my rant I take several and I do mean several deep breaths, walking over to the forgotten clip board, I pick it up and I stiffly walk to the elevator pushing the correct button to the floor I needed, the head nurse rushes towards me and barely makes it in the elevator with me, closing my eyes I try to calm myself but couldn't help but to be irritated, I mentally sigh looking at the papers, I frown this has to be by far the strangest thing ever, I mean come on! He's a fucking Daiyōkai for fuck sakes! Sighing again, I look at the chart and read it
Koga and Bankotsu Pov:
Koga looks at Bankotsu with an open mouth, and says quietly "damn I thought she was hot before but damn she's sexy as hell when she's mad" Bankotsu sweat drops but nods in agreement but then he says "yeah well you should see the one chick I ran into she's hot as hell as well" Koga snorts and says "…yeah ok"
Kagome's Pov (again)
(A/n: the words in the (`) is Kagome's thoughts) Oh yeah and also I am shorta winging it with how old Sesshomaru is)
Species : Inu Daiyōkai (well duh I think)
Gender: Male (again Duh)
Age: 200+ (Demon) But appears physically around 25 (OK! Now that was something I so didn't know!)
Height: 5'10" (….well yeah...)
Weight: 167.6 lbs (…urh I kinda figured as much)
Eye color: Gold (like I would admit it out loud but…since I have seen them in person they are beautiful!)
Ok moving on I sweat drop, Reading a bit lower on the chart to see why he is in here in the first place. I gape.
Room Number: 120
Reason: Car Crashed (I sigh, and think go figured…what the hell is up with people and car crashes?)
-Injuries- few cuts and bruises, and possible concussion, did an X-ray for any broken bones- waiting for results-
Well…at least that's not too bad, I was brought out of my musing when I hear the oh so familiar 'ding' sighing again, I walk stiffly to his room when I get to the door I take a breath then I walk in, I stop dead in my tracks when golden eyes connected with my blue eyes, I felt my breath hitch.
Realizing that I was staring, I mentally shake my head and think "get a grip Kagome and do your job!" with that running through my mind I walk over, giving a shy-ish smile I say "well hello Sesshomaru-sama, under different situation I would say it is nice to see you again"
Sesshomaru's Pov.
I was getting irritated really really irritated, I kept mumbling stupid Jaken and his idiot driving, but I am glad that Rin was not present otherwise that idiot toad would be dead. The reason I am so irritated is because I have been here for over an hour, a nurse had informed me that best nurse is on her way, and that they apologize blah blah blah,
I was really thinking about just orbing out of here but…I reach up and touch my head I was way to dizzy to and even if I did I would most likely end up back in here because I crashed into something, not only that but father wouldn't be very happy that I did an 'all crash course into an expensive building' stunt, and then get chewed out saying that I should act my age and not act like Inuyasha,
I scowl at that, I give a sigh and I was thinking about what I should do but again I was brought out of my thoughts when my sensitive hearing picked up on a…I blink angry female, listening I raise a brow the voice sounded very familiar but I couldn't place it, I growl placing my hands on my head (again) and growling under my breath stupid jaken stupid dizziness
I was brought out of my thoughts (again) when I hear the door to my room open, looking up I was gifted with a sight, well I couldn't exactly see since the nuisance dizziness decided to be more forceful this time around, so in other words I was defenses, my hearing is fine but it is also messing up my sense of smell
Damn it I say under my breath but then I hear a sweet voice say "well hello Sesshomaru-sama, under different situation I would say it is nice to see you again" I know that voice it belong to…Kagome! Or…was it Sapphire? I couldn't tell, because in all honestly at the moment they sounded the same, I frown at that thought
Kagome's Pov:
I gasp when I saw him reach up and hold his head, dropping the clip board I rush over and I summon my Miko powers, I reached out to touch his head to help but I was surprised when his hand shot up and grabbed my wrist I ended up letting out a 'squeak' of surprise, I take a breath and I say
"Sesshomaru, I am not here to hurt or purifying you, I know your head is hurting and you cannot tell what is what, I am only going to make it go away, it is my job" I pause for a moment and say in a softer voice "I also know you want to get out of here asap but you won't be able to if you do not let me help you, ok?"
I watch as he stiffened and then slowly let my wrist go, I let the breath I didn't know I was holding out, closing my eyes, I re-focus on my task at hand, summing my Miko powers again, instead of it purifying I formed it into healing, once that was done, I slowly bring my hand closer, deciding it would be best to inform him (so I wouldn't surprise him) I say gently
"Sesshomaru, I am going to be bringing my hand to your head which means I am required to touch you and be in your personal space, it would be wise if you could try and relax, and I know it will be difficult but please bear with me"
Telling him everything he needed to know for the moment I reach up and let my hand hover for a moment, my Miko energy searching for any damage, I wasn't a bit surprised when I found little to nothing, only a spot or 2, (very small btw) giving a small nod I gently place my hand on his head, automatically I could tell he didn't like being touched or have anyone in his personal space but I did give him a fair warning
Clearing my mind, I start working on the damage, my energy flowing into him, in a soft slow movement, because if I didn't, his demonic energy would fight against me and not with me complicated I know, I continue making sure not to go too fast, but also not to slow either, taking a deep breath and after a few more moments it was completely gone, not wanting him to feel any more uncomfortable I remove my hand.
Looking at him I blink, I didn't even realize his eyes were closed, but I suppose when he noticed that I was staring at him, he opened his eyes they looked unfocused for a moment but when he blinked they were normal again, he shifted his eyes at me and I look down it was sign of respect, after all I did just invade his personal space, and because I wasn't looking at him, I didn't see his eyes go wide, I give an awkward cough, making sure to keep my eyes to the ground I dip my head in respect before walking over to the forgotten clip board, picking it up I look it over and say
"According to the information on here you were in a car crash and-"I was cut off when another nurse came in saying "Miss. Higurashi I have the results of the X-ray(s) I nod and say "thank you" I look at it and give an 'Hmm' sound and then say
"good news is you have no broken bones- as I shifted to the next sheet, "-and you had a small concussion but I already took care of that, the bad news Is that I would like to make sure everything is the way it is supposed to be, meaning I will have to make sure you do not have any other injuries, would that be acceptable?"
I glance up and he didn't move, figured he was thinking about it after a moment he nods and says "it is acceptable" nodding I say "good" Grabbing my pager I page one of the nurses not a moment later she came in saying "yes?" handing her the clipboard with the X-ray information, I say "Mr. Taisho is almost done, please go and file this, and as well bring the release forms"
She nods and says "yes ma'am" I sigh and say sternly while placing my hands on my hips "Bridget…what have I told you about calling me that?" 'S-Sorry K-Kagome' Bridget says I shake my head and say "well? Whatcha waiting for? The sun to stop shining"
She gapes at me then quickly bows and rushes off to do what I ask, I sigh and shake my head again and mutter (also completely forgetting a certain someone is in the room) "Rookies…they are going to be the end of me, I swear why in kami did I agree to take on an assistant? Oh yeah that right cuz in a few months I'm taking over, stupid stupid stupid I continue to mutter.
I bring up my hand to my head pinching the bridge of my nose in annoyance, I jump when I hear "your taking over?" I let out a loud 'eep" I twirl around and gape and say "OH MY GODS I didn't-I mean I forgot-"I couldn't even finish a simple sentence, because? I was extremely embarrassed and the way he was staring at me, my face most likely went several shades of red that would put tomato's to shame.
Sesshomaru's Pov.
I heard a gasp and the sound of a clip board dropping on the ground, I tried to make it not look like it but the sound made me flinch, my ears were ringing, then I felt the rise of Miko powers, the ringing had stopped as soon as it came, and by the sound of slight wind of a body part moving my hand shot up and grabbed the wrist that dared to come anywhere near my personal space, I heard a 'squeak' of surprise, and the person I was holding captive took a breath and said

I stiffened but slowly let the wrist go, I hear her let a breath out I wasn't sure why she did but I look at her, still not really seeing her, but I could see an outline, my eyes where slowly to my displeasure were coming back so I short of watched as she closed her eyes, I was again a bit surprised when I hear say gently

I felt a soothing sensation go through me, I also noticed that she hesitated, and then the sensation increased, my demonic energy didn't even fight against the feeling of the Miko energy, I took notice that it wasn't exactly pure pure purification, it was more of the healing type, if I wasn't who I was I would of smiled and gave a sigh of relief,
I also noticed that she was taking her time, normally it would have annoyed me but I understood why, why she was going slowly with healing she didn't want my demonic energy to react badly, and counteract with the healing, I felt the pain go away after a few moments, I felt her remove her hand, I didn't even realize that my eyes had shifted closed,
That was until I noticed that she was staring at me, I opened my eyes, they were a bit unfocused for a moment but when I blinked they were normal again, for some reason I couldn't help it but I shifted my eyes towards her, I watch as she automatically looked down, I was surprised before, but now I was shocked, does she know that what she just did? (A/N: Ok I have been dying to write this next part, I thought of it sometime ago, and been trying to figure out how to incorporate it into the story XD hope you like it)
And then a thought hit me like a ton of bricks, the stance…the way she talk...the way she acted it was just like… before I even realize it, I was up out of my hospital bed and had her by the throat and I growled out "You lied to me!" I end with a roar my eyes bled red, then I say why?
My eyes grew redder when she looked straight into my eyes, and think she was either being extremely stupid or really brave-My thoughts were cut off when she says
(Kagome) because sometimes I like to forget who I am or what I am born into.
I stiffen and was about to say something but then it dawned on me, why she does what she does, she wanted freedom, but why? Memories of her mother filled my mind, ok…now he really knows why, her mother is a monster, and they say demons are monsters, some are but nothing compared to that devil,
I look at her and see nothing, there was no fear, no regret, or doubts there was absolute nothing at all, just a women…well women(s) since she lives a double life and all, and she just wants freedom, that's all
I sighed and let her go, she just looked at me and then says "look, I didn't ask for this nor did I expect to run into you again, all I ever wanted was to be left alone, be free from my bitch of a mother, and raise my son in peace and move on is that too much to ask?
I blink and say "Son?" she nods, now I felt like a complete ass and think with slight horror 'is she?' I was so lost in thought I didn't realize that my indifferent mask had slipped and I had the look of horror etched into my features.
Kagome started giggling then it went to full blown laughter, confusion replaced the horror and it made her laugh even more after a few more laughs Kagome says "no, I'm not married, I have never been married-" I felt my body relax at the statement, (not that I meant to) but gave an mental sigh of relief, "-And I adopted Shippo, he's not my son by blood but that doesn't matter to me, he is my son blood or not"
(A/N: sorry if you get tired of reading the almost the same thing but I like to show both parties their thoughts/actions on certain situations.)
Kagome's Pov:
Before I could even think, blink, or breathe, Sesshomaru had me by my throat and I hear him growled out "You lied to me!" normally I would have been freaking out and ask 'what is he talking about' but It wasn't that because I knew exactly what he was referring too, I was brought out of my musing when he ended with a roar and I could see his eyes bleed red, before I could even attempt to utter a word he says "why?"
I wasn't scared, my secret is out no point in denying it, so instead I look straight into his eyes and watched as they grew redder, before he could even attempt to say anything I say with complete honestly "because sometimes I like to forget who I am or what I am born into."
I watched as he stiffed and from the looks of it, he was about to say something but stopped when it seemed to dawned on him, why I do what I do, He looked lost in thought but then he looks at me, I look right back him and I give him nothing, I had nothing to hide
I hear him sigh and let me go, I looked at him and says "look, I didn't ask for this nor did I expect to run into you again, all I ever wanted was to be left alone, be free from my bitch of a mother, and raise my son in peace and move on is that too much to ask?
I watch as he blinks and say "Son?" I nods, I continue to watch him, he looked so lost in thought, I place my hand over my mouth to cover and suppress the giggles that were wanting to escape, because I watched as the indifferent mask fade and the look of horror had slipped into its place
Before I could stop myself I started giggling then it went to full blown laughter, confusion replaced the horror and I couldn't help it, it made me laugh even more, it was just too funny, considering every time I have seen him that mask is always in place, so to see it slip was just too funny, after a few more laughs I decided to tell him so I say "no, I'm not married, I have never been married-" (I noticed he visibly relaxed and I give a small smile) and continue "-And I adopted Shippo, he's not my son by blood but that doesn't matter to me, he is my son blood or not"
-Normal Pov-
We just stood there, staring at each other both wondering what to do next, the answer? Bridget returned and Kagome quickly signed it and handed It to Sesshomaru and saying "Just go to the front desk and they will take care of the rest, it was nice seeing you again, good day"
And with that Kagome walks out to do her rounds with Bridget following.

Sesshomaru stares at the sheet in his hand and frowns, damnit he thinks and he was thinking about asking Kagome out to dinner or something to talk (Strange-yes) but he couldn't help it he was fascinated with her, sighing he walks out with the indifferent mask, but to anyone who's been around him would be able to see the difference.
Wowz 7 pages long - and I totally just realized something, this story seriously reminds me of "Hanna Montana" and that show has been gone for like ever, well damn where in the hell did all the years go xD
