Katniss' POV

To the side of my bed Cato and Clove are making out.

"Ew" I manage to get out but it comes out croaky and frog-like. I can't believe that while I'm in a coma, my step-brother and best friend are hooking up; right next to my bed!

"Katniss!" They both yell. And then I'm engulfed in a hug by the two of them. Cato calls the doctor and they have to run several tests on me, the results will take twenty-four hours so they decide on keeping my overnight.

I lay in bed for the next hours and think about my life. I think of how many chances I've missed by not being direct. I almost died so I think I have a new resolve; to be more straight and blunt, to demand what I want. I mean I've missed so many opportunities already if I do this I can have so many choices, I need to have more control over my life. I could have prevented this, I could have changed so many things, but I can't afford to dwell on the what if's and all that, I need to start to change my life.

The rest of the day, everyone comes to visit me; everyone except Peeta, that is. Just when visitor hours are about to be over, I hear commotion outside of my room and then Peeta comes rushing in carrying a giant teddy bear that's bigger than me but slightly smaller than him. From his arm dangles a gift bag and in his hand is a dozen of roses.

After he sets everything down, he takes a seat next to me and clears his throat.

"Sorry I wasn't here earlier, I was getting all your gifts and taking care of some... business." He smiles. How can he be so sweet?

"It's okay" I say and cringe once I hear my voice. It's like a dying cat mated with a croaky toad and my voice was the offspring. Oh great now I have the image of that in my head eww!

"Thank you Peeta, you truly are a kind friend." I smile gratefully after taking a drink of water and clearing my throat.

He flinches at the word 'friend' as if I hurt him. His face contorts as if he's having a serious discussion with himself.

"Listen Katniss, ever since I almost lost you; I've realized something. I don't want to be your friend."

"Well if you have no desire to be my friend then you can go-"

"Let me finish," He says with a chuckle then turns serious. "The reason I don't- can't be your friend is because I want to be more than your friend you are so amazing and just so... different from all those other fake girls. You are one of a kind; unique and I can't spend another day knowing that I didn't at least try to get you to be with me. I know I may not be the best for you and that you could probably find a better guy, but all I'm asking is for a chance. So Katniss Everdeen will you go out with me?" The determination and slight fear in his voice make my heart melt.

"Peeta you're such a sweet guy, if anything I don't deserve you." His face falls when I say that so I decide to tease him further. "How do I say this? OF COURSE I WANNA GO OUT WITH YOU!" I whisper yell.

His face brightens and his smile is so wide I fear that his face will split in half. He comes closer to my bed and leans down, as soon as our lips touch the sparks fly, it feels like we've been waiting for this moment forever. Things start to get intense when I glide my tongue against his delicious plump lips. "Katniss" He groans. He groans it a second time and I start to shake. He yells my name and I jolt awake.

I see that the person who woke me was in fact, Peeta. But that's not the thing that shocks me it's that I just had a very weird dream about him. Does this mean I like him? I mean of course he's attractive but I'd have to be blind not to notice that. And how much of it was a dream? I look outside my window and see that it is daylight so I guess all of it was a dream. That makes me sigh in sadness. Until I see Peeta standing in my room. I think it's time to start my new resolve but I think I wanna be more slow and less blunt about this one. I need to be subtle and cautious, I need to tease him and have fun.

Operation: Seduce Peeta is on.

2 days later...

They finally released me yesterday and I couldn't have been more happy. All the results came back negative, which concluded that I was okay and fine to leave the hospital, they only gave me medication which I was given to use only if I feel any pain or extreme dizziness. The doctors of course were befuddled because they were sure I would at least have suffered some sort of illness or something like that. I like to think it was my guardian angel, Castiel watching over me. (A/N: Sorry couldn't help myself Supernatural reference. It is my weakness!) Anyways since today was my first day back my doctors recommended I do not walk around much so that dampened the mood, considering that all of us were going to go see the a Roman cathedral that was pretty far away.

"Guys really, I can stay here by myself, you go enjoy the cathedral." I said. We had been arguing about this for about 30 minutes.

"Katniss we are not leaving you alone, for the last time!" Prim said back. She was pretty angry that I wasn't seeing her point.

"Actually I want to stay behind, I need to email somethings and I have some work to do, plus I don't really feel up to walking at the moment. I could stay and watch Katniss if you want." Peeta offers.

"Really? Are you sure?" Rye and Prim ask in sync.

"Yeah, I'm positive" He answers surely.

"Ok" They all answer. An hour later they leave and Peeta retreats into his room. I, of course,think of the devious way I could torture/seduce Peeta. I go into Clove's room and pull out a bikini of hers. It is white and a bit transparent, on Clove this would have fit ok but due to my larger curves, it is tight to say the least. I would never in a thousand years wear this but, it is a special occasion.

I pull the tiny swimsuit on and head to the living room. I put my stuff on the floor in front of a couch before heading into the kitchen to eat a late breakfast. After eating I head to the living room to watch something while I wait an hour for the food to digest. I go on Netflix and have to choose between Doctor Who, Sherlock, or Supernatural, these shows are my favorites so it is SO freaking hard to choose. I decide on Supernatural and start to watch a random Supernatural episode. Dean, Sam, and Cass are so freaking irresistible and hot and cute and sexy and omg the list goes on and on. I'm in the episode where Dean comes back from Hell and he has his shirt off and omg I think I'm drooling.

"What are you watching?" Peeta whispers in my ear causing me to jump off the couch and land on the floor. I pause the T.V and turn on Peeta.

"Oh my gosh don't ever do that again!" I yell, while trying to call me racing heart. I stand up and notice Peeta hasn't paid any attention to what I've said but is instead staring at my body.

I have a feeling operation Seduce Peeta is going to be a success.
