Kol moved in a blur. Rage and hurt propelled him forward as his fangs tore into stubbled skin. Warm blood spilled into his mouth. Revenge was sweet indeed. He used all his might to tear away flesh, taking half Klaus's throat with him. Blood spurted all over the open door and entry wall. It gushed from the elder vampire's neck. The hybrid's face turned red from anger, although his displeasure was mute. He shoved his younger brother hard, sending Kol sailing to the back of the room. He connected with wall, emitting a large boom. Paintings crashed to the ground around the suite. Kol grunted in pain, his face twisted. Stefan stood rooted to the ground, unsure what to do. Heads swung from side to side rapidly, watching for Kol's recovery, and glaring at Klaus horrified as his wound quickly repaired itself.
Kol finally rose just as Klaus launched himself over the two beds in the center of the room. Stefan found his legs and used an ottoman to knock the hybrid onto the bed. The ripper attempted to stab him with one of the fractured pieces of wood but Elijah flashed to the vampire grabbing him by the neck and pinned him to the wall. "This is family business," he said tightening his grip around the man's throat. Stefan attempted to swing at the original. Elijah clicked in distaste snapping the vampire's neck. Stefan's body slumped to the ground.
Kol took advantage of a temporarily stunned Klaus, and retrieved one of the broken shards littering the bed. He jammed it into Klaus's gut as the hybrid stood. Klaus doubled over from pain meeting Kol's knee. Klaus growled, knocking Kol back into the wall, ripping the stake out and tossing it to the side. He wiped at the blood rushing from his temporarily broken nose.
Rebekah and Bonnie watched anxiously on the sidelines. Rebekah wouldn't interfere. She loved her brothers, the one who always came back to her, and the one who did her evil bidding. She could understand why her younger sibling was upset, but he was overreacting, if only he would let them explain.
Bonnie was torn. She wanted to stop this, but she knew this confrontation was inevitable, maybe even necessary. This is something Kol needed to do despite his claims of rehabilitation and his new lease on life. She loved Kol, all of him, even his more violent tendencies.
On the other hand, could Kol really go against his family? God knows they had done horrific things even Kol…especially Kol, and she knew that he repeatedly talked about how they turned their back on him, but they were his family. She might need to step in before he does something there is no coming back from. He asked her to let him make his own decisions, and if he were embarrassed in front of Caroline and Stefan when she intervened, he would be humiliated in front of Klaus, Rebekah and Elijah.
Bonnie watched as Kol struggled to get up, terrified. She kept watching Stefan for any signs of life. Her attempts to make it over to him were stymied by originals flying around the room every two seconds. She couldn't take too much more of this. Male ego or not she protected those she loved.
Caroline and Tyler appeared behind Rebekah in the door. Tyler moved forward but Rebekah's arm shot out blocking the entrance. Tyler growled but stood watching from the hall. Caroline's main concern was a very mortal Bonnie in a room full of pissed off immortals, but from where she stood Bonnie looked unharmed.
Klaus picked up Kol from the floor and wrapped both his hands around his neck. Klaus smirked as he slowly began to crush his windpipe. Kol repeatedly pummeled Klaus's arms but it was no use. Klaus had him in a vice grip. With a bit more pressure Klaus could sever his sibling's head from his shoulders. Desperate, the younger Mikealson began reaching out frantically. His fingertips felt a smooth cool surface beneath them. Seconds later glass was being shattered. A shard being jammed it into Klaus's neck, slicing Kol's palm in the process. He twisted the makeshift weapon and broke it off for good measure.
The Hybrid screamed, dropping his brother to the floor. He backhanded the determined vampire into the wall nearest the bathroom, creating a Kol sized dent. Sirens could be heard in the distance. Rebekah, Caroline and Tyler heard security in the stairwell.
Kol tried to stand but collapsed back to the floor. Klaus flashed over to him producing a dagger coated in white oak ash. He lunged for Kol's heart and was halted midstrike. His arm fought against an invisible barrier, but he was unable to continue. His eyes darted from left to right. But from what he could see, Elijah, Rebekah, and Tyler were immobile as well. He looked down at his brother and watched his eyes wide with surprise.
Kol might as well have been a statue. He couldn't move. He heard the whisper of Bonnie's spell in the distance. The world around him hazed then swirled into gray. His dinner threatened to make an appearance as he was being pulled backwards by some unseen force. Until he was standing, staring into Bonnie's moss colored eyes as she stood on her tippy toes and pressed her soft lips against his chastely. It was if the last ten minutes had been some weird daydream.
Stefan had been lying on the bed but sat up trying to figure out what just happened. The last thing he remembered was Elijah's grip on his throat then darkness. The room was back in perfect order. Like Klaus had never knocked on the door. He looked around confused.
Kol looked at his kitten astonished, a smirk on her face. "This time let's use our words." She said a brow arched. Klaus pounded on the door. "What the bloody hell?" The trio heard Rebekah exclaim from the hall. Kol stared at Bonnie reverently. She was the most beautiful and fearsome individual he had ever known. "You are magnificent." Bonnie blushed.
She reached up and gave him a quick peck then gestured towards the door. She went and sat on the bed with Stefan who was equally stunned. "You rewound time?" He asked looking into those emerald eyes. Bonnie winked, kissing the bridge of his nose. Her phone chirped on the bedside table. It was Caroline texting her.
"OMG…Did you just rewind time?" She texted her back and watched as Kol swung the room door open.

The originals all stood in the door of the hotel room. Kol smirked at Klaus. Klaus glared until Rebekah blurted, "For heavens sakes." She pushed her way into the room taking a seat at the desk. Elijah looked between both brothers then sauntered into the room, his hand knotted behind his back. He went and stood by Rebekah. Kol pursed his lips at his remaining sibling, waiting for his older brother to act like it. Klaus narrowed his eyes and slowly swaggered into the room.
"Perhaps Ms. Bennett and Mr. Salvatore could allow us a moment of privacy." Elijah suggested. "Not a chance in Hell." Stefan sneered at the vampire in response. Not when Klaus had a dagger and white oak ash handy, Bonnie thought.
Klaus looked over to Stefan. Was that his old friend the ripper? It didn't matter. He had an empire to run. He sighed impatiently. "Kol do get rid of your pets or I'll do it for you. We have family business to discuss." Kol went and sat on the bed with Bonnie and Stefan. "Splendid, then they will stay since they are my family." Rebekah grimaced, annoyed by his words. "Kol?" She questioned making her displeasure known. Kol looked over to his sister, scorn planted on his lips.
"Really what is it you want to discuss? We three have more important things to do like watch telly, stare at the walls… cuddle. Plus I really need a bathe. Despite Bonnie's intervention, I still feel like I'm covered in hybrid stink." Kol said causing Stefan to chuckle. Klaus scowled. Bonnie sighed. Rebekah was growing tired of all the male posturing in the room.
"We came to see if it was true…if you had been alive for months, and living in Mystic Falls? That you didn't even contact us? We came…"
"Your place is in New Orleans with us." Elijah finished Rebekah's thoughts succinctly. Kol began laughing. Can you believe this ripper? Stefan thought about his own brother and the audacity he possessed. Then thought about his time with Klaus and Rebekah. I can.
Bonnie was dismayed. It had begun to dawn on her that Kol may be angry and hurt, but this is how the originals operated, in a dysfunctional unit. Sure they would go off on their own for a while but they always came back to each other. Klaus lugged those coffins around with him everywhere he went. Then raged war on Mystic Falls to get them back. She watched Klaus now, stalking the length of the room. He was there to rip half her heart away.
Magic began humming in the air. Stefan sat up straighter looking over his witch. Her eyes were hard, her mouth tugged downward. He inched closer to her. Kol felt the power surge as well. He reached back to squeeze her hand.
Rebekah's head cocked to the side as she observed the three. Elijah mouth ticked ever so slightly then smoothed. Klaus continued to move about the room too arrogant to be concerned about his erratic brother and his new play pretties.
"How is it that you're alive?" Klaus said after a moment. Kol rolled his eyes. "The Hybrid King of New Orleans doesn't know? You did find me after all, I'm assuming through one of your many spies. And for what…not out of care or bloody concern. Not from Niklaus Mikealson. No… You can't be worried about your poor dead brother… you're here for a spell that you think will grant you even more power. Another means to hold on to your long and miserable life."
"That's not fair Kol." Rebekah rebutted. "Nik tell him why we are here." Elijah looked over to Klaus and knew Kol was mostly correct. Klaus turned his eyes meeting Kol. "We are family. We belong together. Always and For-"
In the blink of an eye Klaus was flying backwards into the wall. His body bounced against it crashing to the floor. Kol hovered over him. "DON'T YOU FUCKING SAY IT. I'M NOT A SENTIMENTAL FOOL LIKE ELIJAH OR A NAÏVE PRINCESS LIKE REBEKAH. ALWAYS AND FOREVER?" Kol snarled. He was distracted by smell of something burning. Everyone turned towards the sage hovering in the air by the door. Glowing embers were slowly consuming the bundle of dried green leaves. A soundproofing spell? The originals turned back towards Bonnie. This was not the Bennett witch they had grown accustomed to. Someone had been practicing.
Klaus climbed to his feet ready to attack, but he caught a glimpse of the looks Elijah and Rebekah were throwing him. His siblings wanted peace. He wanted to know the secret to his brother's resurrection and why he and the league of Mystic Falls were here exactly. Klaus sighed. He would allow Kol this one act of insolence. Elijah relaxed turning back to his youngest brother.
"Where. Was. My. Bloody. Retribution? Why are the Gilbert siblings down stairs sleeping soundly in their beds instead of hacked up into bloody fucking pieces? I thought you of all people would avenge me, Klaus? Rip out there hearts. Drain every drop of blood from their bodies, at least a bit of torture. Some form of bodily harm from the immortal hybrid…the big bad… but no. The Mystic Falls merry band of twits dangled something in front of you that you wanted and no more thought was given to your brother whose corpse was rotting on the floor. You just slung me into a casket and went to play emperor in someone else's kingdom." Kol turned to his eldest brother.
"And you Elijah? I thought your family was the most important thing to you? What a fucking joke. You defend the latest version of the Petrova doppelganger like you're the one planted between her legs every night. Who knows by the way she changes her mind you might be soon, right?" Kol spat.
"Hey" Bonnie chastised. She took a side-glance at Stefan. "It's the truth Kitten." Kol said softly. Klaus's eyes widened at the term of endearment. He watched his brother closely. He smelt it now…Bonnie and Stefan's scent was all over him, buried beneath the various aromas of human blood and bits of the forest staining his clothing. He hadn't realized the nature of their relationship. Kol was shagging the Bennett witch and Stefan's blood coursed through his brother's body. He thought they had only formed some kind of alliance. What the fuck was going on here? Kol was too busy zeroing in on Rebekah to notice Klaus's scrutiny.
"And my dear sweet sister, whom I have committed countless atrocities for. You're no better. Carrying on with Elena because she wanted to be your mate, go with you to the prom. Pathetic Bekah. Remember when she stabbed you in the back…literally? I always wondered while I was trapped on the other side, you know, while your tongue was down Matt Donovan's throat, did you think about the time he put a dagger in my heart? What about Finn? That's the other brother this lot murdered in cold blood."
Klaus's red lips pulled into a grin. "So what… you made a new family? How adorable. Except it's with the two people who would kill everyone on earth including you to protect Elena Gilbert." Klaus flapped. The words sliced through Bonnie like a blade. Stefan felt the sting as well.
Kol, however, was mostly bored and tired. Klaus arguments were moot because he knew something that no one else in this room had figured out yet, not even his mates. Bonnie and Stefan weren't those people anymore. Kol was certain the doppelganger would have no more sway over either of them. He believed this with all of his soul.
He could say it was the trauma they had both experienced, the recent life lessons they had both learned, but he liked to think it was him and his excellent tutelage, maybe a little fate…but mostly him. He was just ready to climb into bed with his kitten at his side, but first he wanted some blood from his favorite vampire.
"I see Stefan is in his ripper mode." Klaus continued. "Take it from me brother… you think he's a great guy, loyal, interesting and dangerous. Then he flips that switch and stares into a doppelganger's brown eyes and he's just some lovesick bloke, sniveling and blubbering all over himself." Stefan moved forward. Bonnie squeezed his hand to keep him beside her. Klaus did not miss that.
"And Bonnie Bennett…the sanctimonious witch. She's so moral and better than everyone else. Just ask her. 'Oh we have to protect the innocents.'" Klaus mimicked. "Truth be told she has murdered countless beings, including herself, and went dark all to save the person who orchestrated your death. A girl who cares more about herself than anyone else on this planet." Emotion swept through Bonnie she wanted to kill Klaus but she couldn't deny that he may have a point. Klaus sat on the bed with Kol, Bonnie and Stefan. He peered into Kol's eyes. He lowered his voice just above a whisper.
"Stop deluding yourself little brother. There is no one they both love more than… What was your clever turn of phrase? Ah yes…the latest version of the Petrova doppelganger. I don't have time for your temper tantrums. You want an apology. Fine. I'm sorry you were stupid enough to get yourself murdered by Jeremy Gilbert of all people." Kol blinked at his brother. Klaus smiled reveling in the fact that he had put a ding in Kol's armor of confidence. Knocking humility into a man as arrogant as his brother was an accomplishment.
After a moment, the hybrid turned serious. He leaned into his sibling and whispered. "I don't have the energy to clean up any more massacres because your fragile little heart has been broken by yet another witch and Rebekah's leftovers." Klaus got off the bed going to stand by his siblings. "You've made your point, Kol. Let's go home."
Kol looked back at Bonnie and Stefan amused. Kol's expression changed when he saw Bonnie was taking the Hybrid's words at heart. "Kitten, don't let Niklaus affect you. He's a giant baby looking for the love my father denied him. He's jealous. That once again I have earned the love of a powerful witch and the loyalty of the only man he has ever admired." Klaus yawned for show, but everyone knew Kol had struck a nerve. "Is that your epic revenge, Kol? Take away my toys." Kol shook his head. His brother just didn't get it.
"They are not toys, Nik. They are my family. Always and Forever. I will not leave there side, especially now. You were foolish to come. You may leave." Bonnie and Stefan were more than touched by Kol's declaration. He was always joking, and although he had shown his feelings for them in other ways he had never hinted to how deep they were. Bonnie was lost in her lover's loyalty. She basked in the feeling of having someone who was hers completely, while Stefan was trying to determine what he was feeling and what that meant. Something warm and delightful fluttered inside his chest while his stomach churned with fear and trepidation. Bonnie took his hand recognizing Stefan's expression. He was grappling with himself again. This thing the three of them had would either kill them or… Bonnie couldn't think about the possibilities. Not yet, not with so much at stake.
"Why now brother?" Elijah asked. "Does this have something to do with the rumors about Silas and Amara Maeve?"
"Does it matter? Klaus has to get back to his empire. Why don't you two run along after him like you always do? Does he let you sit on the throne sometimes Elijah? Rebekah, do you get to dust it every now and again? Wait…no…from what I hear you're nothing but a glorified dogsitter. "
"Grow up Kol. Be reasonable." Rebekah threw at her brother. Kol laughed. "I am being reasonable. Klaus's head is not on a spit. Your spleen isn't lying on the ground. And Elijah's lying tongue hasn't been severed from his mouth."
Klaus rolled his eyes. His brother was so dramatic. "Why are you here? What does Silas want?"
"The world." Bonnie said glaring at the original. Klaus cursed under his breath. He didn't need anyone challenging his throne, especially a wizard that could control his thoughts. "I thought you had taken care of him witch. I should have known you would screw that up also." Klaus found himself pinned to the wall, Kol's hand deep inside his chest. Kol squeezed the Hybrid's heart until it burst. Grey veins crawled across the Klaus's skin and his body slid down the wall. Kol couldn't help the smirk that befell his lips. It wasn't the revenge he wanted but it was a nice consolation prize.
"Let me explain something to you before anyone else gets any more brilliant ideas. Bonnie Bennett is not to be disrespected. Am I making myself clear?" Kol directed to Rebekah watching her glower at the witch.
The blonde nodded. She did. Kol had never cared enough about a woman to raise a hand against his own siblings. Delphine couldn't even inspire that act of loyalty. "Crystal clear brother … She's your family."

Bonnie stood surrounded by rot and decay staring up at the slope of the mountain. Dark energy bubbled under her feet. Magic ran rampant, bouncing around in the air. She opened her senses, closed her eyes and prayed to her ancestors for strength and protection.
"This place gives me the creeps." Caroline said rubbing her arms behind the witch. Despite the high temperature she had a chill running through her body. The human corpses littered about the ground weren't helping.
"I'm guessing this is your handiwork?" Rebekah said walking over a slain mercenary. Kol ignored his sister and Bonnie's gaze burning into the side of his face. He would fight that battle later. "Remind me again why you all are here?"
Klaus stood head cocked. He could hear four beings breathing just beyond the first ridge. He smelled werewolves and vampires. This was going to be interesting. "Was it not less than 24 hours ago I was accused of not caring enough for my family? I'm here to protect my little brother." Stefan snorted. Klaus eyed the vampire.
"More like protect your own ass. I hear Silas's baby mama has a thing for killing witches and taking their power. Now where is the most powerful and largest coven in the United States?" Damon said walking over trying to decipher the best way up. "I do believe it's New Orleans." Elena answered setting her backpack down. Klaus ignored them watching Kol and Stefan share a look. It was obvious to Caroline, if not everyone that Klaus was jealous.
Caroline rolled her eyes looking back at Tyler, but her boyfriend had gone still. He was also picking up on the supernatural creatures poised to attack in the brush on the mountainside. Matt raised his scope following Tyler's line of sight. Jeremy readied an arrow.
"How quaint. It's charming really, but Tyler is exceptional. He was after all blessed with superior supernatural parentage. Then threw it away to do what… disappear in obscurity." Klaus chuckled at the thought. Elijah's brow rose. They didn't need Klaus courting strife within their ranks. "Niklaus." Klaus turned to his brother. "But I digress, he can hear and see things mere mortals or baby vampires can only imagine. They are more than a mile away. I wouldn't worry about them just yet. The real question is how are you all going to get around all this magical mumbo jumbo. This place is crawling with spells and dark magic."
Everyone turned to Bonnie. Bonnie looked over to Kol who immediately produced her grimoire. He opened it and smiled when it started flipping to the page she would need on its own accord. Kol held the book for her. She glanced at the spell even though she knew it by heart. She turned.
"Stefan?" Stefan pulled the athame Kol had purchased for Bonnie out of the bag he was carrying, handing it to her. He then pulled out a brass chalice. Everyone watched as she sliced her hand. Blood trickled from her palm into the awaiting vessel. The holy water that once held Stefan captive came out next. Bonnie was happy she had listened to Qetsiyah and collected a few bottles. Three drops went into the chalice with a sizzle. Then powdered burhead, French mulberry, and toothwort leaves were sprinkled in. Bonnie had a hard time getting the flowers she and Caroline collected weeks ago to dry out.
The final ingredient was a healthy pinch of soil from the cursed ground on which they all stood. It went in with a plop. Bonnie chanted taking the chalice from Stefan. She spun the basin until the mixture swirled in a counterclockwise motion. Raising it in the air towards the sun she uttered the binding words of the spell. The mixture burst into a bright blue flame, flickering angrily, then extinguished suddenly. The potion smoldered, bubbling down until it was clear.
She motioned for Kol. He put away the grimoire and stepped over to the witch. She smiled looking into his eyes, dipping her fingers in the bowl. "Your devotion, love and loyalty are gifts that I will always cherish. I wouldn't be here right now if it wasn't for you. The Daughters of Qetsiyah smile upon you. Be blessed." She swiped the potion across his forehead. Kol stole a quick kiss, winking at Elijah and his curious expression.
Kol could feel the difference almost immediately. As soon as the potion touched his head he felt the spell's power slide down and around him until Bennett ancestral magic surrounded him. Before it felt like the mountain air was statically charged. The pressure was uncomfortable which he was sure was Qetsiyah's intention, but now there was a gentle hum, almost welcoming. Bonnie turned to Stefan.
"I always felt like we are two sides of the same coin. Like you understood me. We both know what it means to sacrifice for those we love. I'm so thankful we have had this opportunity to grow closer, and find a new purpose that doesn't require such suffering. The Daughters of Qetsiyah smile upon you. Be blessed." Stefan pulled her into his arms kissing her on the top of her head. They stayed like that for a minute until Damon coughed, "Ahem." Bonnie pulled away from him and walked over to Caroline.
"Sister of my heart. Keeper of my secrets. Sunlight of my soul. I couldn't do this without you. The Daughters of Qetsiyah smile upon you. Be Blessed." Caroline wiped the tears from her eyes as Bonnie brushed the potion above Caroline's brow. The vampire hugged her friend tightly then let go so Bonnie could finish the protection spell.
Bonnie smiled at Matt, walking over until she was standing on her tiptoes in front of the strapping young man. "You are the strongest of us all with a heart as pure as gold. I'm so happy to have you for a friend. The Daughters of Qetsiyah smile upon you. Be Blessed." She said swiping the potion on Matt. Matt gave her a giant bear hug before Bonnie turned to Tyler.
"Your journey has been a long and difficult one, but it has made you into the warrior I see before me. Your growth is inspiring, and I'm glad you fight on my side today. Be Blessed. The Daughters of Qetsiyah are with you." Tyler nodded. Bonnie turned before she started crying spying the new tears forming in the corner of Caroline's eyes. She closed her eyes to compose herself then opened them zeroing in on Damon. She walked over to him slowly brow raised. The vampire shifted under her gaze. He sighed as she stepped in front of him, wary what her blessing would say about him.
"You are the most passionate person I know. It oozes out of you and affects everyone around you for better or worst. When you use that power for good it's amazing. Don't let the darkness consume you. The Daughters of Qetsiyah are with you this day. Be Blessed." Damon leaned forward so Bonnie could touch his brow and seal the spell. He relaxed looking over to his brother. Stefan looked up his mouth in a hard line. He closed his eyes and sighed. When he opened them he nodded to his older brother. The small gesture filled Damon with hope that they could get past this.
Bonnie stood silently in front of Elena, looking into the eyes of the person who was once the most important person in her life. Elena wilted a little under her gaze. Like Damon, she was unsure she wanted to hear what Bonnie felt and thought about her now. "You were my family when mine abandoned me. You offered me a home when mine was broken. You taught me what sister meant. I will never forget what you have been to me. The Daughters of Qetsiyah are with you this day. Be Blessed." Elena smiled touched by her words, wrapping Bonnie in her in her arms. Kol tried not to gag but couldn't stop his rolling eyes. He allowed his attention to waiver when he realized who Bonnie was going to spell next.
"You are the first person I gave my heart to, and always will be. You accepted me for who and what I was, and was brave enough to tell me when you didn't like that person and the choices she was making. I'm grateful for the time we had. The Daughter of Abigail smiles upon you Jeremy Gilbert, and bestows upon you her ancestor's protection. Be blessed and prosperous always." Jeremy looked into Bonnie's eyes and felt shame for his behavior over the past few days. He fought back the tears until they embraced, then his eyes blurred with them. He had to turn away from the crowd when she pulled away from him and moved over to Rebekah, Elijah, and Klaus.
"The loyal one" she said swiping goop on Rebekah head. "The honorable one," She continued blessing Elijah. She pursed her lips as she looked over a smirking Klaus. "You're lucky I'm in love with your brother. Do better." Bonnie said pressing the sealant into Klaus's head a little harder than she had to. "The Daughters of Qetsiyah are with you all this day as long as you're alliance remains true. Be blessed." Klaus yawned mocking the witch, but stiffened as he felt the power around him dull.
"Lovely…now lets get this show on the road." Kol said grabbing Bonnie's tools. "I couldn't agree more brother." Klaus said jumping in the air and instantly transforming into a wolf. He leaped over Kol and landed in the bushes behind him.
Screams erupted, as Klaus tore into his first victims. A bloodied vampire managed to escape Klaus's wrath. She shot up a trail on the mountain. Tyler, Matt, and Jeremy took off after her. Everyone scrambled for their weapons and gear and headed after the trio.
Ripper, I trust you have your game face on and you will not leave Bonnie's side, Kol thought following the witch up the slope. As anxious as he was to smite Silas and his minions he would not leave Bonnie unattended. Silas had known they were here somehow, and Bonnie would have a giant target on her back.
The three of them were bringing up the rear of the group. He could hear beings moving around them. You say that like your planning on doing something stupid. Stefan said shielding Bonnie as they moved through the almost impenetrable forest. Kol was listening intently. Something was happening. Who me?…never.
Stefan grabbed Bonnie's hand trying to keep her in pace with the rest of the group. Caroline's back was getting further and further away. We're in this together Kol. The three of us. We are stronger together. We protect each other. There's no need for you to play the hero. Kol laughed. Says Stefan the Saint. Looks like someone took my 'Always and Forever' speech to heart. Besides, I'm actually getting the hang of playing hero. Although… I do villain much better.
Kol's fangs lengthened and he leaped into the trees. Stefan and Bonnie looked up as they heard a scuffle, a growl and then a yelp. Seconds later a giant wolf carcass came crashing to the ground. Bonnie saw Kol glide to another tree. There was a crunching noise to their right. A woman screamed, then suddenly two vampires charged Stefan and Bonnie. Stefan grabbed a low hanging branch and angled it just in time as one of the beings impaled himself.
Bonnie waved her hand and the other was catapulted over the nearest ledge. Stefan and Bonnie heard more screams near them, then silence. Kol dropped from above, wiping blood from his mouth. "So the good news is we just killed all of Silas's goons I sensed near us. Bad news… they are the only people I sense near us, we lost the others." Bonnie looked nervous. "We're on our own?" Stefan looked at Kol, who turned to Bonnie. "As it should be."
Hope you enjoyed it!
