Author's note: hello everybody. It's been too long. I curse the writer's block. I just lost my mojo I ended up writing like two different chapters for this story then finally got a little inspiration and ended up joining those two chapters together and this is what you got. Hope you enjoy.

"So what's it like living in America?"

The sounds of quills scratching on parchment stopt, Scorpius looked up at his friend as he contemplated Albus question.

It's been just little over 2 weeks sense they had their first weekend meeting with their year group and in that time they, Albus and Rose were trying to learn about him like he was trying to learn about them So a random question like this wasn't necessarily on expected.

After a few minutes Scorpius wrote down a answer. Mostly just like living anywhere else. Although it is quite amusing listening to all of you talk since I'm not quite used to the British accent. Lol.

Albus and Rose smiled. " what are some things that you like doing?" Rose asked. " I enjoy reading."

" my favorite activity is flying." Albus said.

What did he enjoy doing? he thought.

Well I've always enjoyed reading and cooking with my dad.

"Where do you live in America?" Rose asked. Scorpius wrote: New York City, in a two bedroom flat.

After a few more questions the trio went back to doing their homework.

Later

After they finish their homework they decided they were hungry and so decided to make their way down to the Great Hall to get something to eat. On the way Albus was engrossing them with a story, ..." so that is how my uncle George came up with the boom boom bubble bomb."

Albus and Rose smiled as their friend laughed. But then, 'BANG'. Next thing the to know Scorpius is on the ground, Rose quickly got to her knees to help her friend up and when she managed to get him on his knees gasp.

Turning around Albus look to see what made his cousin gasp, but what he saw kind of grossed him out. Scorpius nose was just a bloody mess. "Oh... Wow Scorpius maybe we should get you to the hospital wing? That can't be comfortable?" he said this last part with a slight hesitant laugh.

By the time the trio made it to the infirmary Scorpius was looking rather pale. "Oh Marilyn Mr Malfoy. What happen?" the matter-which asked as she motion for Albus and Rose to put him on a bed. The trio covered in blood from Scorpius nose or what was left after it had impacted the floor of the hall.

"Well ma'am" Rose began, " we were walking to the Great Hall to get something to eat when he just trip. I think somebody may have casted a tripping jinx at him." the Medi which hummed as she casted a cleaning charm to remove the blood from their robes.

After a few minutes, where which in Scorpius had to drink some Skelly grow cuz his nose bone had completely shattered from impact, and where he had to drink a blood replenisher Scorpius was completely healed and the trio were allowed to leave the infirmary.

Over the next couple of weeks Scorpius was the target of many more jinxes. Rose and Albus expected Albus's brother James to be the culprit but had no proof to confirm their suspicions.

The rest of the month passed by with Albus and Rose getting really ticked off with James. And Scorpius trying to avoid the hexes and jinxes he found coming his way a lot .

Before the trio knew it it was November.

Scorpius walked into the Great Hall but before he even made it to the table and was able to say good morning to Albus and Rose, Ana landed on his shoulder carrying a letter and package for him.

When Scorpius made it to the table he grabbed the letter and untied it from her leg as well as the package,

the moment the package was released it grew about two sizes bigger than Scorpius's own petite hand, he decided to read the letter before opening the package.

Dear Scorp.

Happy Birthday Scorpius!

Hope you're doing well. Your mother and I miss you. We have sent you a small package of a few of your favorite treats.

I hope you are sharing this happy day with your friends. I made sure to send enough of everything for you to share.

Love you scorp. And more happy birthday wishes. Love dad and mom.

Putting the letter off to the side Scorpius open the box and indeed there was a great selection of different wizarding and muggle candies.

Scorpius rifled through the box before finding a package of Twizzlers, quickly opening them for going breakfast for the moment he smiled happily as he bit into one of his favorite candies.

"Wow! Scorpius what's you got there?" Scorpius looked up from examining his box of treats to where his friend Albus had just sat down across from him,

Scorpius smiled as he offered Albus a piece of licorice and then turning to offer one to Rose he gave both his friends a smile,

"Who sent you all of that candy?" Rose asked After she caught a glimpse of the box contents. Scorpius smiled sheepishly and turned his parents letter so his friends could see what it said.

"Oh..." his two friends said before, " happy birthday Scorpius" Scorpius smiled as he buttered a piece of toast.

"How old are you Scorpius?" Rose asked. Scorpius paused in eating his toast. 'How am I supposed to tell them that I'm actually a year older than them' Scorpius thought. But before Scorpius could go any farther in his thoughts a nother owl flewn down in front of him, turning his head to the side Scorpius wondered who this owl belong to, it wasn't one that he recognized.

"Hey, that's Teddy's owl."

James hearing his brothers exclamation got up from his seat and walked over to where his brother and cousin we're sitting.

The owl stuck its leg out to Scorpius, James thought, [why is our cousin sending that blonde squirts a letter.]

Scorpius gently untied the letter and package from the owl's leg and then gave it a piece of fruit off his plate.

Pulling the latter out of the envelope he began to read.

hello Scorpius. Happy birthday!

I do not know if you are aware of me but I am aware of you. My name is Teddy Lupin. I am your cousin. My mother and your father were cousins which makes us second cousins.

I just wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday, and ask if you would like to come stay with me over the winter holidays. I have talked to your father, and he made me aware of your circumstances. And would greatly love for you to come visit.

Un-wrapping the present Scorpius found a medium size green and blue book with black writing on the front, ( the Whittle guide for beginners) Scorpius smiled but before Scorpius got the chance to clinic open the book he was being tap on the shoulder by Albus, looking up he save a smile to his friend as Albus said, " it's time for class," Albus smiled, so I don't think you'll have time to start their new book."

Scorpius blushed, quickly packing up his bag he quickly got up and followed rose and Albus to their first class.
