Akari gave a faint smile, she looked at the mirror in front of her.

"I finally did it. I feel proud."

She touched the mirror with her hand, she felt a burning feeling on her palm. She let go of the mirror and looked at her palm.

It had a burn on it but the burn had a symbol on it.

"What, no. No, it's not supposed to be today." She looked around and saw fire around her.

She backed away from the fire to the mirror.

"No. Not today. No." Her reflection grabbed her throat and gave a smile.

"But it is. This is the world that will be the future and you will be the cause of it." Akari shooked her head.

"NO!"

"Akari?" Akari looked at Paku. "Are you okay?"

Akari looked down at her hand, the burn mark was gone.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Paku gave a smile.

"We should get ready for the festival. All of the classroom festivals are going out." Akari gave a nod.

"Okay." Akari looked at the mirror, she stared at her reflection.

A purple bruise appered on her neck, she touch it and it stinged. She walked to the makeup and started to put fountation on it. But it hurted more.

She lowered her eyes down, she knew what she had to do.

The only way.

She grabbed her cross necklace and put it on her neck, she took a deep breath.

"Sanare hoc macula." (this is latin if you want to know)

She felt a more burning feeling on her neck, she gasped for air. She put the necklace down. she looked at herself in the mirror.

The bruise was gone but only a small purple mark was left of it, she gave a sigh.

Good enough.

She grabbed her dress and walked out of the room.

Outside, at the booths

Rin stood against the wall, he looked around.

He gave a sigh and looked at the sky.

Where's Akari? She's late.

"Yo!" Shima, Bon and Konekomaru walked to him. "Why do you look so lonely?"

Rin looked away from them.

"Oh, you want to see Akari do you?" Shima told him. Rin started to blush, he looked down.

"N-No." Shima smiled at him.

"Alright. I guess you don't want to know if she wants to dance with you at the folk dance." Rin's eyes went wide.

"Hey!" They all looked behind them, the girls were running to them.

"What took you so long?"

"We were trying to get a way out from the line to the food court." Izumo told them.

Rin looked around them, he didn't see Akari.

Shiemi looked at him.

"Akari told me that she's gonna be a little late, since she's getting changed." Rin lowered his eyes.

"Don't look so down." He turned around to see Marie standing behind him, she had a small lily in her hair. "She'll come, just wait."

Shima stared at Marie with goo goo eyes.

"Stop being a pervert." Luka hit him on the head, she looked at her.

"Marie." Marie nodded at her.

"Luka, it's nice seeing you here." Rin felt a force between the two of them, the force was dark and angry.

Rin walked away from everyone, he turned around and walked slowly.

He kicked a stone as he walked, he kept his eyes on the stone and his foot. He heard childern laughed, he looked up.

"Come on! You can do it!" The little girl told the boy as he caught a fish in the net.

Rin gave a smile at the little boy and girl, he went back to the stone and kicked it again.

I want to see Akari again, I don't know this feeling but it makes my heart feel different everytime I'm not with her.

Rin started to reameber the first time that he held her hand at the cherry blossom festival when they were staring at the fireworks.

That was the first time that we held hands, but we never talked about it.

Rin reamebered that he asked Akari to walk around the town with him. He hit himself on the forehead.

Idiot! I haven't been able to take her around town, I've been a freaking idiot!

Rin kicked the stone hard and it flew to the pond, it hit the water and fell into it. He ran to the pond, it was filled with lights from the lantern hanging around it.

He saw little kids playing with lily pads and frogs, he saw a girl with a short dress that had white hair. She was standing in the pond, holding her dress up and smiling at the kids.

"Akari." The little kids looked at Rin.

"Kari, that boy is staring at you." Akari turned around and saw Rin, he was staring at her.

She stared to blush, she looked down at the water.

The little kids started to giggle.

"I'm sorry, I told Sheimi that I was still in the changing room but I wanted to go to the pond where the kids were playing. And I-" Rin started to chuckle and started to laugh hard.

She gave a confused look.

"What are you laughing at?" Rin laughed, he couldn't speak.

"Your-Your head!" She looked at the top of her head, she saw a small frog.

She grabbed it, she walked to Rin and shoved it in his face.

"AH!" Rin got scared and fell into the pond, Akari started to giggle.

He came up with a lily pad on his head. He stared at Akari with a look.

She laughed hard at him, she held her stomach.

"Please...stop i-it hurts!" She laughed hard. Rin gave a grin at her, he stood up and walked to her. "No! Don't you dare!"

He grabbed her hand and pulled her to the water.

"No!" She laughed, he picked her up by the waist. He fell backwards into the pond with Akari in his arms, causing a big splash.

Akari came up, she stood up and looked down at Rin. He had his eyes above the water and looked up at her.

"You look like a hippo." She gave a chuckle. He jumped up at her.

"Meow!" He stood up like a cat, she stared at him.

"Hippos don't say meow." She poked him in the side, he jumped and looked at her.

He started to tickle her on the sides, she laughed hard and fell down. Rin continued to tickle her, she was laughing and trying to grab Rin's hands.

"Stop! Please! It's...too much!" She grabbed his hands, he looked at her eyes.

She was staring at him, she took calm breaths.

They stared at each other, Akari was staring at his lips. She pulled up a little bit and head for them.

Akari...

"Hey!" They looked behind them, everyone was staring at them.

They both blushed at the same time.

"What the freak happened?" Yukio told them. Akari and Rin looked at each other, they both jumped and stood up. They didn't look at each other.

"They were playing "Splash!" The little kids said to them. Akari looked at them.

"And Akari won!" They said. Yukio looked at them then to Rin and Akari.

"I trust them, go dry off before you get sick." Akari and Rin gave a deep sigh.

Why did I sigh? Everyone knows that me and Akari are dating, and that I was on top of her. Should I tell Yukio the truth?

Rin looked at Akari, she was stepping out of the pond.

Akari and Rin were sitting in the tent, they were drying off their hair.

They didn't talk to each other, the only thing between them was the silence.

Marie walked into the tent with a change of clothes.

"Here, Mephisto gave me these. He thought they would look nice on you." Akari stood up and took her folded pile of clothes.

She walked to Rin and gave him his pile.

"I'm sorry that you have no where to change but this is the only thing they could do. If you need anything just call me." Marie left the tent, leaving Akari and Rin alone.

Akari stared at the clothes facing her back to Rin, he looked at her in the corner of his eye.

"I'll put a cover between us." Rin put a sheet on a line, making a wall between them.

Rin started to take off his jacket and untie his tie, he unbutton his shirt when he heard Akari groan.

"Are you okay?" He said to her not looking at her.

Akari stood on the other side, holding her bleeding arm.

"I'm fine, just trying to take off this dress." She looked at her arm.

"Do you need help?"

"No! I can do it." She said to him, praying to god that he wouldn't open the curtain.

Rin continued to strip, he grabbed the pants and put them on.

"Rin?" He looked at the curtain at the corner of his eye.

"Yeah?"

"Can you help me with this?" She opened the curtain, she was holding her hair up and showing the unzipped dress.

Her pale back was shown to him, he gluped at her and blushed.

"Just zip it up, please." Rin looked at her and walked to her, he grabbed the zipper and pulled it up to the end.

Akari let go of her long white hair and walked to the chair that had the shoes. Rin walked to the chair where his hoodie was.

He picked it up and put it on, the top was stuck and couldn't go down.

"Hey, um Akari. Can you help me with this?" Akari looked at Rin, she saw that the hoodie was stuck to the top of his head. His abs and tail was reveal to her.

She gave a giggle.

"You got yourself stuck in a hoodie."

"Just help me." She walked to Rin, she looked up at him. She reached her hands up to the top of the hoodie, she pulled it down.

She put her hand on his side where it wasn't covered, Rin felt a warmth of her hand.

She's...warm.

Rin's head was out of the hoodie, she pulled down the hoodie to his waist and fixed his hood.

He saw that she was wearing a bright blue dress.

She looks pretty.

He stared at her, he was going to hold her hands but she moved away and walked to the chair.

He gave a sad look at her and looked at his hands.

She has warm hands.

Akari put on the heels and looked at Rin.

"What's wrong?" He snapped out of it and put on the shoes.

"It's nothing, I was daydreaming." She gave a look at him, she walked to the curtain but before she could open it.

She felt Rin's hand on her's, she felt the warmth of his body.

"Akari...I-I think I-"

She closed her eyes and turned around to him. She put her hands on each side of his face and took a deep breath.

He stared at her, she started to say something in latin.

"What are you-" Akari turned around and ran out the curtain. "Akari!"

Akari ran through the crowd and bumped into Bon.

"Sorry." Before he could say anything, she ran away from him

Rin ran out the tent and looked around him, he didn't see her anywhere.

He ran through the crowds, he looked around for her but couldn't.

"Akari!"

"Rin, what are you-" Shima was going to ask a question.

"I need to find Akari. I need to tell her something." Shima, Bon and Konekomaru looked at each other.

"She bumped into me a minute ago, she looked like she was afraid." Bon told Rin.

"Where did she go?"

"She walked over there." He pointed to the right.

Rin ran through the crowd and yelled her name.

"I wonder what he was going to ask her."

"Who will ever know?"

Rin ran through the crowds, looking for Akari.

"I DON'T HAVE ANY FEELINGS FOR HER!"

"Then why did you hold her hand at the Cherry Blossom Festival during the fireworks?"

That was the first time that I regret that I had feelings for her, but now I won't!

He saw her white hair and ran faster, Akari looked behind her and saw Rin.

She ran through the crowd, she saw the bon fire and around it. She felt someone grab her wrist, she knew who it was by his warmth.

"Akari, don't run. Please." Akari tried to pull away from him but he was stronger than her. "Please!"

He turned her around to make her face him, he put his arms around her back.

"No! Please!"

"Akari! I have feelings for you!" Akari shooked her head, she put her hands on her ears.

"No! That's a lie! You can't have those feelings for me!" She tried to beat on his chest but Rin stared at her.

"I care about you! I want to be with you! I want you to know that I have those feelings for you! I want you to know that I am telling the truth!"

Akari stopped, she dropped her hands and lowered her eyes.

Rin saw tears on her cheeks, he knew that she was crying.

"It can't be tru-"

"It is. I have those feelings for you and I always will."

Akari looked up at him, tears were on her eyes.

"Are you telling the truth?" He nodded at her.

"I am. I will never lie to you." Akari looked down at his chest, she put her hands on it and her head.

"I don't want to feel that pain again, knowing that one person loves you but that person dies and you can't feel their love ever again. I just didn't want that pain of lonelyness." Rin closed his eyes and put his chin on top of her head.

"I will never make you lonely, I won't leave you." The music started to play, Rin looked down at her.

"Come on." He grabbed her hand and walked to the side of the building.

He pulled away from her and bowed his head to her.

"Can I have this dance?" Akari stared at him, she wiped her tears away and nodded at him.

"I would love to." He walked up to her and grabbed her hand, he put his hand on her waist and her hand on his shoulder.

"I don't really know how to dance this way." Akari gave a chuckle.

She put her head on his chest and hands, he wrapped his arms around her and put the side of his cheek on the top of her head.

They danced slowly at the dark corner of the building, away from everyone else.

"You made her look like her. Why?" Luka asked Mephisto.

"It was the only dress that I could find that she can wear. Plus, it made them more closer." He looked at her.

She stared at them.

"You do know what she said to him before she ran? Do you?" Luka gave a sigh.

"Coepi te amare." She lowered her eyes.

"You know what that means, do you?" Luka looked up at the bon fire.

The fire grew larger.

"I don't want to say it, but it's the one thing that you and Marie would be happy to hear."

Mephisto gave a faint smile.

"I guess so."
